Early the next morning, the students of Class Zero gathered. Lin Xiuran was still a little unaccustomed to this, as they had just arrived in Class Zero and were already facing final exams without any adjustment period.
Wu Changkong, as usual, didn't waste any words, simply leading the four of them out of the academy. This time, instead of walking, they took a Soul Guidance Bus directly to the suburbs.
"Teacher Wu, could you give us a hint about what our exam will be like today?" Xie Xie asked with a forced smile.
Wu Changkong glanced at him, "You'll find out when we get there. It's a bit like the Spirit Ascension Platform, but not exactly the same."
"Oh." Xie Xie nodded.
Lin Xiuran was naturally fine; although it was a direct final exam, he was still confident overall. He was different now than before. He was
a little apprehensive about going to the suburbs, but fortunately, this time it was in the suburbs on the other side of Donghai City, separated from the entire city.
They got off the bus in the suburbs, and Wu Changkong led them into a huge park. This park had a name: Donghai Soul Guidance Technology Park.
The park features extensive greenery and clusters of buildings of varying styles, each with its own unique characteristics, most constructed of metal.
Lin Xiuran wasn't too surprised; although Wu Changkong hadn't mentioned it, he was quite familiar with the competition and thus somewhat prepared.
The park was vast, and they walked for a full half hour before Wu Changkong led them to a smaller section within it.
The first thing they saw was another expansive green area, followed by a small building. Compared to the buildings they had seen before, this building appeared rather small and disproportionate to the vastness of this inner garden.
Reaching the door, they found no nameplate on the small building, making it unclear what kind of place it was.
The deep blue building had a mirrored exterior, seemingly pieced together from glass panels, creating a strange and beautiful effect as it refracted light from different angles.
There were no guards at the entrance, only the tightly closed glass door, the same deep blue as the building.
Wu Changkong walked straight forward and placed his right hand on a spot on the glass.
A bright blue light flashed from where his palm landed, followed by a projection and a somewhat humorous voice, "Yo, long time no see! Donghai Xiao Changkong."
Wu Changkong coldly said, "Open the door."
The voice replied with a hint of helplessness, "You're still as boring as ever."
With a soft "ding," the glass door silently swung open.
Tang Wulin, Xie Xie, and Gu Yuena were all stunned, clearly shocked by the name Donghai Xiao Changkong.
Lin Xiuran, however, had a different focus; this single door was enough to demonstrate the advanced technology of the place.
This already touches on the realm of AI. Keep in mind that the current stage of technological development in Douluo Continent is roughly equivalent to their previous era.
Yet, the AI here possesses such artificial capabilities, which is extremely rare even in Douluo Continent.
If I remember correctly, this should be the Tang Family's territory.
Stepping through the glass door, the white floor, dark blue walls, and soft white lighting created a clean and tidy atmosphere, yet no one was there. A circular metal platform floated in, supporting four metal bracelets.
The four wore them as instructed; according to Wu Changkong, this was an identification system.
Wearing them ensured they wouldn't be mistaken for enemies; otherwise, they might be destroyed by the city's defense system.
It sounds alarmist, but it's truly terrifying. The main reason there are no guards here is likely their overconfidence in the strength of their defense system.
Wu Changkong didn't speak again, continuing to lead the four inside, until they reached another deep blue glass door. A bright blue light swept across again, this time without the AI's voice. The four, wearing metal rings, saw a flash of light on their bracelets and quickly fell silent.
Behind the door was a passageway. It extended inwards, turning several corners, and after passing another glass door, a flash of light appeared. Wu Changkong, who was at the front, suddenly disappeared.
"Space technology?"
Undoubtedly, this was space technology that the mainland was still developing, yet it was being used here. A full stage ahead of the Federation.
"Keep moving forward."
Wu Changkong didn't reappear, but his voice clearly echoed throughout the room.
Soon, everyone walked towards the spot where Wu Changkong had disappeared. Instantly, Lin Xiuran felt his body enveloped by a strange energy, and the next moment, he appeared in another place out of thin air.
This was a deep blue space, with deep blue crystals overhead and beneath your feet, and silvery-white metal walls. The refracted light created an exceptionally strange effect.
Wu Changkong and several others appeared here.
Wu Changkong was at the front; he walked to one side of the wall and, after performing some operation, the wall suddenly cracked open, revealing a large screen. Various strange symbols lit up on the screen, and a keyboard popped up. Wu Changkong's hands swept across the keyboard, striking the keys with lightning speed, like raindrops hitting banana leaves.
"Identity confirmed, Donghai Xiao Changkong."
"Test difficulty: Medium. Number of test participants: Four. Ten-second countdown."
"Ten—"
"Nine—"
"What the hell, it's already started?"
Xie Xie undoubtedly complained again, but before anyone could respond, four beams of blue light descended from the sky without warning, instantly landing on the four people. A flash of blue light, and the four vanished without a trace.
Lin Xiuran didn't even have time to react before feeling that enveloping sensation return, very similar to that at the Spirit Ascension Platform. The difference was that the Spirit Pagoda involved consciousness, while this time it was the body.
A wave of dizziness and weightlessness washed over him simultaneously, prompting Lin Xiuran to react immediately. Wind elements gathered beneath his feet, allowing
him to land lightly in this space. The entire space was black, obscuring everything except the tangible ground beneath his feet.
"Welcome to the Hall of Heroes. First Trial, High Difficulty.
Name: Lin Xiuran, Age: Ten."
"Test Requirements: First Round, Endure for Thirty Seconds."
Lin Xiuran frowned slightly, still processing the situation, when a flash of light appeared before him, revealing a figure.
Large, pinkish-blue eyes, long, curled eyelashes, a slender, graceful body, and long, pinkish-blue hair cascading down her back A white dress accentuated her flawless face, making her appear like a goddess descending to earth.
