Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: The Crimson Vision

Leaning against the cold stone walls, both of them sat tucked away in a corner. The heavy air of the dungeon soon pulled everyone into a deep, suffocating slumber. Unconsciously, Luca's head slumped onto Lane's shoulder. Lane watched him for a brief moment, but when Luca didn't wake, he gently moved Luca's head to rest on his lap.

As Luca's eyes closed, his consciousness slipped into a dark, haunting void.

Everything was blurry and hazy. Suddenly, the heavy thud of footsteps echoed through the void. A towering shadow stood before a group of men who were kneeling on the ground, their bodies trembling with primal fear.

They were pleading desperately, "We made a mistake, please forgive us, Lord!"

But that supreme being did not listen. Without a shred of mercy, he severed their heads in a single stroke. Those who tried to flee for their lives met an even more gruesome end—their bodies detonated like atomic bombs mid-run. There was nothing left but absolute devastation.

Then, the sound of footsteps returned. A faint, misty figure appeared, speaking in an incredibly sweet and melodic voice— "Lord Ether, my dear brother..."

Suddenly, a sharp, thunderous noise jolted Luca awake, pulling him back from that blood-soaked world.

He was drenched in cold sweat, his heart racing. He looked up to find that Lane had also been awakened by the commotion. They both saw the prison guards roughly dragging several children out of the dungeon.

"Luca, what's happening? Where are they taking them?" Lane asked, his voice trembling with anxiety.

Luca stared toward the iron gate, that same terrifying glint from his vision returning to his eyes.

"They are taking them away," Luca replied coldly. "Perhaps toward the very end we had only imagined until now."
