They were still talking when the dungeon door suddenly swung open, and a new vampire stepped inside. His eyes scanned the entire room before finally landing on Luca, who was sitting in the corner. He gestured for Luca to come toward him.
Luca gently moved Lane's head from his lap and began walking toward the vampire. As soon as Luca reached him, the vampire grabbed his arm firmly and started leading him out. At that exact moment, Lane's eyes snapped open. Seeing Luca being taken away, he immediately stood up and followed them.
The vampire noticed the other child coming along, but he didn't stop him; he allowed Lane to come outside as well. When Luca saw Lane following behind, he wrenched his hand free from the vampire's grip. At first, he thought about taking Lane with him, but a sudden idea flashed through his mind.
Luca wanted to understand Lane's true nature more closely, so he intentionally began to back away and hid behind a nearby wall to observe everything. The vampire grabbed Luca's arm again and whispered, "I want to drink your blood... don't worry, I won't kill you."
But Luca didn't listen to a word he said and jerked his hand away. This time, instead of Luca, the vampire lunged at Lane and grabbed his arm tightly. He squeezed Lane's hand hard and hissed, "Don't even think about running! Since the prey followed me on its own, I'll drink your blood first."
Hidden behind the wall, a faint, knowing smile appeared on Luca's face. He knew something significant was about to happen.
Lane looked directly into the vampire's eyes. Suddenly, his gaze turned incredibly cold and icy—cold enough to freeze stone. He spoke in a flat, calm tone, "I am willing to give you my blood... but you must grant me one wish. You can only drink my blood if you reform yourself and become a good person."
The vampire trembled to his core looking into those terrifying eyes. He was deathly afraid, but he thought to himself, It's just a child, what's the harm in making a promise? The vampire stammered, "Yes... I will reform... now let me drink your blood."
The moment those words were spoken, the vampire exploded with the force of a massive bomb! Pieces of his body were scattered everywhere into the air.
