Chapter 17 - Chapter 17 Decide to go

The car was filled with the smell of gunpowder, and a low-pressure air flowed through the crowd.

Henry pretended to drive calmly, wishing he were invisible. He was inherently uncontrollable and unruly, only daring to act in front of his brother, let alone his current brother.

Henry bravely glanced at the rearview mirror from the corner of his eye, took a deep breath, and shook his head slightly, not wanting to be angered.

Nathaniel lowered her eyes, silently leaning back in the chair, her arms crossed. Her fingers tapped lightly on her arms; her knuckles were clear, her long, white fingers creating a stark contrast with her black suit.

Zoe was like a docile little white rabbit, sitting silently beside Natalie, occasionally looking up at Nathaniel opposite.

The eldest brother of the Brooks family was indeed very eye-catching.

The brother was angry.

Natalie glanced at the two people who were silent, knowing that she couldn't rely on them, so she shyly said, "Brother..."

Hearing her voice, Nathaniel's eyebrows gradually relaxed, and the atmosphere in the car also calmed down.

"What exactly does Samuel want to do?"

Nathaniel's tone couldn't hide his dissatisfaction. If Natalie didn't let him interfere, based on what Samuel had done in the past few years, he definitely wouldn't give Samuel any sweet fruit. Now that his sister had finally divorced him, who would have thought that Samuel would become a lump of rubber, impossible to remove?

Natalie knew that her brother's patience with Samuel had reached its limit, and he was ready to take action himself.

Natalie raised her hand, placed her small hand in Nathaniel's palm, and soothed the anger in his heart, "Brother, trust me."

Nathaniel reluctantly used his other hand to rub Natalie's head. He just wanted his sister to be happy.

Zoe wanted to stay with Natalie for a while, so Henry drove straight to their house. When the three of them got out of the car, Henry turned around and disappeared in a flash.

If his brother were home, he should hide.

Zoe and Natalie returned to the room and played a puzzle on the table: "Natalie, don't get angry because of one person."

Natalie was thinking about something, and she had never been able to hide it.

Natalie took a glass of red wine and left the room. Hearing this, she smiled. Zoe thought she was being bothered by Samuel.

The dark red liquid swayed in the glass and gradually settled to the bottom.

Natalie decided in her heart that, after all, she was not a cold person and could not be cruel.

"I plan to go to Mrs. Morgan's birthday party with Samuel."

Zoe was surprised, but immediately understood.

"Samuel is cheaper."

She also knew a little about Natalie's past in the Morgan family. Mrs. Morgan treated Natalie well, but she was a little worried about Natalie if she stepped into the wrong place in the Morgan family.

Sipping a glass of red wine, Natalie looked a little sad, her red lips curled up slightly, her eyes revealed a cunning look: "I can't easily agree with him."

She agreed to go because of Mrs. Morgan's face. As for Samuel, she didn't care.

Looking at Natalie's expression, Zoe knew she had a plan, so she picked up her glass, "Cheers."

---

When Natalie woke up, the sun was already blazing. Looking at the empty bottle of wine on the table, she remembered that she had had a good drink last night.

Not knowing when Zoe had left.

Picking up her phone, Natalie clicked on a series of unread messages, and one of the messages from an unknown number caught her attention.

'Natalie, I think we can talk about the Eastern Railway.'

Next was the address and meeting time.

Natalie sneered. Samuel had somehow gotten her new phone number. Alright, what she was waiting for was for the other party to take the initiative to attack.

Usually, the one who made the first move would have lost three points.

After grooming herself and dressing simply, she chose a diamond butterfly necklace, took out a maroon windbreaker from the wardrobe, and wrapped it tightly around herself.

Natalie looked in the mirror. It looked fine, simple yet elegant.

As promised, she went to the address in the message. This was a high-class cafe, providing private reception space. All were private rooms, ensuring privacy for guests.

Under the guidance of the waiter, Natalie entered the private room. Sure enough, Samuel was already sitting inside waiting for her.

After sitting down, Natalie followed Samuel's gaze out the window. The window was made of one-way glass, so from the outside you couldn't see inside, but you could see the whole view inside.

Ever since Natalie got out of the car, Samuel's eyes had been on her.

"Sure enough, the Eastern Railway is more attractive to you." Samuel's tone was a bit strange, as if he were mocking.

Natalie didn't have time to feel Samuel's yin and yang aura. She knew that what Samuel wanted to say when he asked to meet her was more than just this.

"Boss Morgan asked to meet me, not just to have a quick chat."

Samuel took a sip of coffee in his hand, not understanding why he had a problem. Natalie still came to the appointment as he wanted, but he was not very happy.

For Nathaniel, she really tried her best.

Thinking about the purpose of this trip, Samuel went straight to the point: "It's about grandma's birthday party, I won't let you cooperate with me in this scene in vain. Grandma treats you very well, you can't..."

"Oh?"

Natalie interrupted. He was talking about feelings for her; Samuel was not worthy.

"Aren't you talking about the Eastern shipping line? It's not good for Mr. Morgan to deceive me here."

Natalie asked knowingly; she wouldn't ask stupidly. Samuel took the initiative to ask, and she could get more.

Samuel looked at Natalie deeply. Why didn't he realize that Natalie was so cunning before? The Natalie in front of him did not look like a reclusive wife, but more like a debauched girl who had been playing around in the mall for a long time.

"As long as you accompany me to my grandmother's birthday party, I can agree to let you join Logan's cooperation."

Natalie couldn't help but sneer.

"As far as I know, Director Logan has not agreed to cooperate with the Morgan Group yet. The Morgan Group and the Brooks Group are currently in a state of competition with each other. How can you agree to say so? Moreover, the Brooks Group wants more than just to join."

Samuel, you are too arrogant.

Looking at Natalie's attitude, Samuel knew that if he did not reveal anything, he would definitely not achieve his goal.

"I have a key condition for Logan to agree to cooperate."

Hearing this, Natalie's eyes lit up, the corners of her lips slightly raised. She did not expect to have an unexpected harvest today.

Samuel saw this and continued, "As long as you come with me to Grandma's birthday party, I can reveal the information to you. As for the rest, it depends on your ability."

If it weren't for Grandma's birthday party coming up, he wouldn't have shared the confidential information he had just obtained with her.

This was an opportunity for the Brooks Group.

Natalie thought the Brooks family was still maintaining contact with Logan, but there had been no breakthrough for a long time.

"Okay."

Natalie happily agreed.
