Chapter 19 - Chapter 19 She is the future young lady of the Morgan family

Samuel was talking to everyone, and the corner of his eye kept watching everyone's every move. Just now, when he heard Sierra urging Natalie, he remembered that he had forgotten to prepare a gift for Natalie.

Oliver heard the instructions from Samuel's eyes, hurriedly went to the car to get the birthday gift Samuel intended to give to his grandmother.

He intended to give it to her later, but now he could only use it for Natalie. As for his part, he would give it to her later.

Before Oliver could receive the gift, Natalie took out a small, pretty box from her pocket.

"Grandma, this is the birthday present I prepared for you. Please don't be angry with me." Natalie winked mischievously at her.

Looking at Natalie's expression, Mrs. Morgan became more confident. Looking at everyone's expectant eyes, she slowly opened the box.

Her eyes lit up. Inside the box was an exquisite jasper brooch.

The brooch was designed in the shape of a leaf, small and exquisite. Just looking at the color of the jasper, it was moist and transparent, and it was also an excellent material. Anyone who was knowledgeable about jade could see that this brooch was very precious.

"It's just a brooch." Sierra accidentally said what was on her mind, but she didn't care anymore; she had said everything she needed to say today.

Looking at Mrs. Morgan's expression, Natalie knew she liked it. It seemed that this gift was just right.

"I thought you didn't like gold and silver jewelry, but you often wear brooches. When I first saw this brooch, I thought you would like it. Today I finally have the chance to give it to you."

Sierra's face showed disdain; a brooch could make people proud, but she was petty, just saying it was enough.

Lily hid in the corner, seeing that the gift Natalie had prepared was just a brooch, she was secretly happy, but now she was so embarrassed.

But before she could be happy for a few seconds, her dream was shattered.

"I remember that there was also a jade brooch in Country F last month, very similar to this brooch. Unfortunately, that brooch was sold by a mysterious buyer for 5 million."

It was Nancy beside Natalie who spoke. Nancy liked jade, and she had researched it very carefully.

"Huh? No way..." After Nancy finished speaking, she came back to her senses and looked closely at the brooch. The more she looked, the more it resembled the jade brooch she had seen before.

No wonder Nancy didn't put the two brooches together. 5 million was nothing to some people here, but to Natalie, it definitely couldn't be afforded.

Natalie smiled, "As long as you like it."

She wasn't lying. When she bought this brooch, she intended to give it to Mrs. Morgan.

Mrs. Morgan lovingly patted Natalie's head, making her feel wronged again today.

Everyone's wish to see Natalie joking turned out to be in vain; they stopped, changing the topic with a burst of laughter.

Mrs. Morgan led Natalie to greet a few famous people, intending to introduce Natalie to her. Natalie spoke politely and courteously, making it impossible for people to find fault. They looked at Natalie more attentively, and Mrs. Morgan was even more satisfied with this granddaughter-in-law.

Lily and Sierra's faces were both very unsightly; their eyes seemed to want to tear Natalie apart.

"Boss Morgan, Miss Lily sneaked out..." Oliver came behind Samuel, whispering something in his ear. Samuel looked around the hall, finally finding Lily huddled in the corner.

"Samuel, I just wanted to come celebrate your grandmother's birthday." Lily saw Samuel approaching, knowing that he had found her, bit her lower lip, trying to hold back her tears, pretending to be heartbroken. Samuel was serious; he hated the feeling of being calculated the most.

Looking at Samuel's expression, Lily knew he was angry. She was really scared inside, and tears kept falling.

"Samuel, I'm afraid, I haven't seen you for so many days, I miss you so much. I definitely won't bother you anymore, so I'll stay in the corner obediently, okay?"

Lily was three parts real and seven parts fake, crying like rain, thinking about Lily's poor health. Samuel's heart gradually calmed down, and his anger also largely disappeared.

"Take care of yourself, don't run around."

Samuel explained briefly and turned to leave.

Lily looked at Samuel's back with an unwilling expression, intending to follow, but was stopped by Oliver: "Miss Lily, President Morgan told you not to run around."

Lily glared at Oliver, then stomped her feet angrily.

Natalie had taken all the attention at today's birthday party, but she hadn't even had time to show her face. It was obvious that Natalie was just an abandoned girl, and she was the future young lady of the Morgan family.

Oliver closed his eyes; he was just following orders.

Sebastian thought that he could use Natalie to make fun of her, even humiliate Samuel, but it didn't work. Seeing that Lily was being protected by Samuel again, perhaps she didn't expect anything more; a new plan gradually emerged in her heart.

"Grandma." Sebastian leaned towards Mrs. Morgan, peeling an orange for her.

Although Mrs. Morgan didn't like him, he was her grandson after all, so she happily accepted the peeled oranges from her grandson.

"You and your father have worked hard today."

She could see what they had done; they couldn't shoulder the Morgan family's business, they still needed to work hard, so that they could share some of the burden with Samuel in the future.

Sebastian deliberately started a conversation with Natalie, glancing at the hairpin Natalie gave her grandmother.

"Sister-in-law, you really care about grandma. I heard that you and my brother have divorced. It's hard for you to come back to celebrate grandma's birthday."

Natalie's heart skipped a beat. No wonder this guy had good intentions.

"What did you say?" Mrs. Morgan heard the word divorce, and anger rose in her throat: "Who did you hear that from?"

Mrs. Morgan's voice was not small; gradually, the guests in the hall quieted down, turning to look at them.

Sebastian hurriedly got up Mrs. Morgan comforted her, but had no intention of turning off the fire: "Grandma, please don't be angry, I just heard that my new sister-in-law has arrived, she also came to celebrate your birthday today."

Mrs. Morgan looked in the direction Sebastian pointed, and saw Lily standing in the corner.

Lily had long noticed Mrs. Morgan's movements, so she hurried over. Under everyone's attentive gaze, Oliver couldn't easily stop her.

"Mrs. Morgan, hello, I'm Samuel's girlfriend, here to celebrate your birthday." Lily tugged at the corner of her shirt like a frightened little white rabbit.

Samuel didn't want her to attend his grandmother's birthday party, so of course, he didn't prepare a gift for her. With Natalie's past lessons, the gift she had secretly prepared was now undeliverable.

Mrs. Morgan was still in shock after the news of Natalie's divorce from Samuel, and she was even more dissatisfied with Lily's hypocritical attitude and fainted in anger.
