Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: Raiden Ei Suffocates and Faints, Thunderlight Falls

Raiden Ei transformed into a streak of thunderlight and followed behind Su Xuan. After flying for an unknown amount of time, they spotted a desolate, uninhabited island, and Su Xuan came to a hover in the air above it.

"This is already beyond Inazuma's borders. The seas are vast and empty—perfect for testing our blades."

Su Xuan glanced downward, and Raiden Ei followed his gaze, withdrawing her thoughts. "This place does allow us to fight without restraint."

"In the last bout, the General struck first. This time, it's your turn to make the opening move."

"This way, I can witness the superpowers you mentioned."

Su Xuan's eyes flickered slightly.

Raiden Ei was truly so adorably dense—this phrasing made it sound like once she moved, he wouldn't get another chance.

Fine! Arguing with Raiden Ei was just arguing with himself.

Su Xuan didn't mind and smiled as he asked, "Well, are you ready?"

Raiden Ei nodded lightly. A purple gleam flashed, and Engulfing Lightning was in her grasp. "I'm ready. Come at me with all you've got."

The next second, Su Xuan simply raised his hand.

Raiden Ei's eyes sharpened, her pupils contracting sharply.

She hadn't sensed any surging energy rushing toward her.

Yet in an instant, the calm sea beneath her feet erupted into a hundred-meter wave, swallowing her whole in the blink of an eye.

Then, with a clench of Su Xuan's fist, the surging wave twisted into a Water Tornado, spinning at ferocious speed.

The women: "!?"

[Uh...]

[Raiden Ei is still the same Raiden Ei—adorably clueless in the most exasperating way.]

[I already told her my telekinesis can control surrounding objects, and she still lets me strike first.]

[I've never encountered such a ridiculous request.]

[Doesn't she worry I'll just seize control of her body and snap her neck?]

[Though, even if she went first, unless she could kill me in one slash, who strikes first doesn't matter.]

[Telekinesis is an unavoidable force—you can only tank it.]

[As long as I have a sliver of reaction time, I can lock down Raiden Ei's body.]

[Then twist her into a pretzel.]

[Of course, if Raiden Ei's mental will and physical toughness—combined with her energy—surpass the telekinesis I unleash...]

[Then I'd have no counter.]

The women: "!?"

No wonder he dared raid the Yanguo Jiansi and challenge the Raiden Shogun for a blade test.

Telekinesis's properties were terrifying.

As long as the opponent couldn't resist it, Su Xuan could instantly crush them.

And just like that, Su Xuan casually lifted a hundred-meter wave, clenching his fist to form a Water Tornado in seconds.

What mortal could claim their power surpassed a hundred-meter wave?

Fighting Su Xuan? By the time you reacted, you'd already be twisted into a knot.

What a joke!

....

The once-calm sea churned into countless whirlpools under the Water Tornado's spin.

The clear sky darkened.

Boom!

A thunderclap roared, and lightning exploded from the center, shattering the Water Tornado in an instant.

Raiden Ei, soaked like a drowned rat and dizzy from the spin, reappeared before Su Xuan.

No sooner had she broken free than a massive shadow enveloped her once more.

Looking up, a dozens-of-meters-tall boulder came crashing down like a mountain.

"Mighty Light Unforgiving!"

Without time for further thought, Raiden Ei swung Engulfing Lightning. A purple blade beam shot out, cleaving the boulder-sized rock in two.

After felling the boulder, Raiden Ei caught her breath. Seeing Su Xuan hold back, she asked, "That boulder just now was..."

Su Xuan pointed at the uninhabited island below them. "Picked it up from the island."

Raiden Ei looked down and noticed a fresh crater on the island that hadn't been there before.

"Moved a whole mountain?" she murmured. "This is indeed a terrifying power—moving mountains, stirring seas..."

"Not quite." Su Xuan shook his head. "Moving mountains and stirring seas were commonplace in the Archon War era."

"Telekinesis on objects is just the most basic application."

"As I said earlier, telekinesis is fundamentally energy, so it carries its own destructive might."

While explaining, Su Xuan pointed lightly with a finger.

A floating chunk of rubble drifted slowly before him.

Raiden Ei watched intently and saw the stone, now cradled in Su Xuan's palm, covered in a faint glow.

"For example, even a palm-sized rock like this, coated in telekinesis, can pierce mountains."

With those words, the telekinesis-clad stone streaked past Raiden Ei's side like a beam of light, too fast for the eye to track.

Boom!

Hearing the explosion behind her, Raiden Ei whipped around to find the boulder she'd bisected utterly pulverized by the passing pebble.

Gazing at the horde of glowing rubble behind her, Raiden Ei broke into a cold sweat.

A single piece hitting Inazuma City could obliterate an entire bustling street.

If all these rained down... she didn't dare imagine. Inazuma City would vanish from the continent in moments.

"But to beat you, telekinesis has a more direct and convenient effect."

"Want to try it?"

Su Xuan's voice snapped the alarmed Raiden Ei back to reality.

She turned slowly, eyes locking onto him. "An even more direct method?"

Su Xuan nodded lightly. "Actually, applying telekinesis directly to you lets me twist your body for massive damage."

"But that's hard to control. Without intent to kill, I don't want to risk it."

"A slight lapse in focus, and it's missing limbs instead."

"But there's another way."

"Like this..."

With that, Su Xuan flicked his finger.

Before Raiden Ei could react, a ring of light snapped around her fair neck.

"What is this?!" Raiden Ei exclaimed in shock.

No detectable energy, no traceable motion—yet a energy ring clamped onto her neck.

Too bizarre.

Instinctively, Raiden Ei grabbed the conjured ring with both hands, straining to break free.

But no matter how hard she pulled, the ring held firm like an immovable mountain.

"Let's call it a telekinesis ring—a loop conjured from pure telekinesis to bind the target."

"Fully adjustable."

As Su Xuan explained, Raiden Ei felt her breath hitch.

The ring around her neck began constricting with unstoppable force.

"Hah... breath..."

Now, Raiden Ei dangled midair, pinned by the glowing ring like a trophy in the sky.

Her legs kicked wildly from the obstructed airway.

Her strength ebbed rapidly from the strangling asphyxiation, and soon, she went still.

Su Xuan: "....."

[Isn't Raiden Ei the Electro Archon?]

[I thought she was born of lightning—why would breathing be an issue?]

[Unless... lightning-born Archons are pure lightning, while Raiden Ei is the shadow's Archon.]

[That doesn't add up. You're a full Archon—do you even need to breathe?]

[Damn!]

[I was just testing if you could break my telekinesis, and you pull this?]

[Big sis, don't actually die on me.]

[....]

The women: "!?"
