The night fell over the Teyvat Continent.
Ever since Su Xuan had taken Raiden Ei away to parts unknown, the diary had ceased updating.
Until dawn the next day.
At the Grand Narukami Shrine on Narukami Mountain.
Yae Miko yawned as she emerged from the inner quarters.
A shrine maiden in red-and-white attire approached respectfully. "Guuji-sama, Kujou Sara and Kamisato Ayaka request an audience."
The shrine maiden paused before continuing, "They arrived last night and have been waiting here all night for you."
Yae Miko responded indifferently with an "Oh."
In an instant of mental focus, a glowing diary replica appeared before her.
Incidentally, Yae Miko glanced at the shrine maiden in front of her and found nothing unusual about her.
"It seems not everyone can obtain a diary replica."
"However, those two who waited here all night are probably holders of diary replicas like me."
With that thought passing through her mind, Yae Miko immediately understood why Kujou Sara and Kamisato Ayaka had come to see her.
"Go ask if they've had breakfast yet."
"If not, have them come to my room to have breakfast with me." Yae Miko waved her hand lazily, as if nothing had happened yesterday.
The shrine maiden bowed and withdrew.
Soon after, Kujou Sara and Kamisato Ayaka hurriedly appeared before Yae Miko.
"Guuji-sama, with such a major incident, how can you still have the mood to eat breakfast here?"
Unlike the anxious Kamisato Ayaka, Kujou Sara, ever loyal to Raiden Ei, was clearly very dissatisfied with Yae Miko's attitude.
"Kujou General, please don't be impulsive," Kamisato Ayaka advised.
The two women had only learned after arriving at the Grand Narukami Shrine last night that they both possessed replicas of Su Xuan's diary.
Ayaka believed that since she and Kujou Sara both had diary replicas, Yae Miko must have one too.
However, this was just the two women's speculation.
Speaking to Yae Miko in such a questioning tone right from the start was truly impolite.
"What major event has happened now?" Miko lightly patted her mouth, unconcerned.
Kujou Sara was stunned. "You don't know?"
"What should I know?" Yae Miko sat down leisurely and savored the breakfast prepared by the shrine maiden.
"Gener..." Kujou Sara was about to blurt out when her sleeve was tugged by Kamisato Ayaka.
She glanced outside before slowly sitting in front of Yae Miko and whispering, "The General was kidnapped yesterday by a traveler from beyond this world."
"Doesn't Guuji-sama know?"
"Don't you have that traveler's diary replica?"
As she spoke, Kujou Sara took out her own diary replica and waved it in front of Yae Miko.
Yae Miko glanced at Kujou Sara's diary replica, didn't bother responding, and just gave Sara a knowing eye-roll.
Seeing this, Kamisato Ayaka quickly interjected, "Since Sara can mention the diary's contents in front of Guuji-sama, Guuji-sama must have one too."
At these words, Kujou Sara anxiously stood up. "Since Guuji-sama knows, then why..."
"Why eat breakfast here?" Yae Miko laughed. "Then tell me, Shogunate General, what should I do?"
"Help you track down that traveler, then let you lead the Shogunate army to rescue the General?"
"And in the end, piss off Su Xuan so much that he drops a mountain on your Shogunate army, wiping them all out?"
"And twists the General into a pretzel on top of that?"
Kujou Sara was left speechless.
Fortunately, Kamisato Ayaka beside her was much calmer and continued, "Guuji-sama, we should find that kind-hearted person Su Xuan mentioned."
"Have her mediate and ask what conditions Su Xuan has; we can exchange the General for them."
Yae Miko rubbed her temples in annoyance.
Kamisato Ayaka was clearly much calmer than Kujou Sara in crises.
However, her ability to consider issues still had great limitations.
Of course, the total days Ayaka had lived were fewer than the oil tofu Yae Miko had eaten, so it was normal she couldn't see through some things.
"Sigh, what cute little ones," Yae Miko drawled. "Don't you understand what he meant yesterday by 'the hard fist makes the truth'?"
"Even the General isn't his opponent; what conditions does he need to negotiate with us?"
"If he wants something, he'll just take it by force. Who can stop him?"
After a few words, Kujou Sara and Kamisato Ayaka stared at each other wide-eyed.
Yae Miko's words were rough but reasonable.
Given Su Xuan's display of power yesterday, even if all of Inazuma's fighters were tied together against him, they couldn't withstand him dropping a mountain-sized boulder on them.
"We can't just let it be, can we?" Kujou Sara paced anxiously in front of Yae Miko.
Yae Miko waved her hand as if shooing her away. "What you should do now is tell the people who saw the General leave yesterday."
"Tell the people of Inazuma City that the General just went to meet an old friend, so they don't need to worry."
"Besides, you've seen the diary's contents; Su Xuan doesn't intend to harm the General. Once he's done here, won't he release her?"
After brushing off Kujou Sara, Yae Miko took a bite of breakfast, looking utterly content, then muttered to herself, "A traveler from beyond this world, huh."
"Possessing inconceivable powers from beyond this world."
"Our Ei has the looks, the figure, and she's a Demon God wielding the authority of thunder."
"I really hope when she returns, she brings back a little General for Inazuma."
"It's hard to imagine how terrifying a little General with telekinesis and thunder authority would be."
"Then, as her little auntie, I wouldn't have to worry about anything anymore."
Kamisato Ayaka listened to Yae Miko's mutterings, her eyes wide in horror, mouth forming an O.
Kujou Sara's eyes widened even more, staring at Yae Miko in disbelief. "Guuji-sama, you!"
The scene suddenly fell silent.
Fortunately, at that moment, the diary replica in front of Kujou Sara suddenly flashed with light.
"The diary has updated!" Kujou Sara hurriedly flipped open her diary replica.
[Last night, I brought the unconscious Raiden Ei back to an island within Inazuma.]
[Only after landing did I realize I'd come to this unpleasant little island, Yashiori Island.]
[Facing the thunderstorms and showers outside.]
[Raiden Ei was still out cold like a dead pig.]
[I suspected she was playing dead, so I gave her a few hard slaps and found she was really still unconscious.]
[So I just used her as a pillow for the night.]
[However, after dawn, not long after I opened my eyes, she finally woke up.]
Kujou Sara: "!?"
Yae Miko couldn't hold back and choked, feeling deep regret. "Such a golden opportunity, and he only used her as a pillow?"
Kamisato Ayaka: "??"
