"Why would you ask me of something that is common knowledge" Angelica asked has she sat upright on the bed a stern expression on her face as she looked into the golden eyes of the person who had saved her.
"My reasons are not of your concern; do you have answers to the questions I have asked?" Cassius asked a calm expression on his face.
'Could he be a slumbering ancient that his just awakened, he has the mannerisms of royalty, could he be a runaway prince, certainly looks the part or a prince escaping an assassination attempt but has lost his memories, that must be it angelica's facial expression kept on changing as she run through the most likely of scenarios in her head and when she felt she had figured out the situation she realized one major problem "I am sorry I can't help you" Angelica said out loud.
Cassius with a bewildered expression on his face showed he was not expecting that so he asked "Why?"
"Because… Because … I just can't help you" angelica said but in her head her thoughts were running amok 'how can I tell him that I don't know, wouldn't he just think am stupid'
when she refused the first thought that popped into Cassius mind was 'ungrateful' he was thinking of taking some extreme measures but that all changed when Cassius saw the expression on her face and the way she struggled with words how could he not put two and two together "You don't know" Cassius said aloud exposing her thoughts.
"whaaat?... How could I not know, ... I just don't want to tell you, hmph" Angelica said as she covered her face that was as red as a tomato
"Yeah, I understand" Cassius said before he burst into a loud laughter that echoed throughout the caves
"Don't laugh at me I'm a warrior okay I don't like studying so forgive me for not learning about the history of the world, about the rise and fall of different kingdoms, well instead I was training with my spear, mastering the arts of my clan, so laugh all you want but training instead of studying is not a regret for me."
"I apologize it was not my intention to insult you" Cassius said understanding that his laughter had crossed the line
"Apology accepted, I may not now much but I still have something that might help you" Angelica waved her hand and a book appeared out of thin air
'Spatial ring, cool' Cassius thought as he spotted the ring on Angelica's finger as she handed the book to him
The book was titled 'the empire and houses of the Xamarian continent', it had details on the ruling powers and clan on the continent.
Once the book was in his hands Cassius looked at Angelica and said "thank you" but then faster than she could blink he vanished from her sight and appeared right behind her, delivering a slight blow to the back of her head knocking her unconscious.
"Sorry about this" Cassius said before he waved his hand and collected anything and everything that had a hint of his presence and once he was done, he turned to leave.
"I'm sure we will meet again" he whispered before walking out of the cave, vanishing into the forest.

a man dressed in a white robe, his face covered by a wide hat as he walked into a small building unbothered by the name written above the door * witch's inn* as soon as he walked in the crowd began to whisper
- Another soul lost to the witch
- Another fallen brother.
Hearing the whispers didn't bother him as he walked deeper into the building until he came upon a room filled with shelves of potions and severed body parts in a jar.
a boiling cauldron at the center of the room from within one could hear the shrieks of countless souls "Show yourself witch" the man said not bothered by the screaming sounds
"it's been a long time since your kind has graced these parts, to what do i owe the pleasure?" an old woman with grey hair and a face full of wrinkles materialized from the shadows right in front of the boiling cauldron.
"Witch you were once called the greatest of the seer's, your ability to peer into the threads of fate and the river of time was unmatched surely you must already know why I'm here after all from the preparations I see you have made you must have been expecting me." the man said with no sign of concern in his voice
'Kekeke' a small laugh escaped her lips before she said, "as expected of the emperor's hound, I was expecting a visitor someone strong I just didn't know if their intentions were good or bad nor am I aware of what they want."
"But now that we have established you want something, why don't you tell me what it is?"
"Something escaped the seal, we have no idea what, but what we do know is its strong and I need to find it and kill it before it does irreparable damage to the continent" the man said determination in his voice.
"Interesting, the mothers who came before us always left us with warnings about the seal" the witch said
"What was the warning?"
"That it wasn't going to last, that the seal would fall and when it does RUN, kekekeke interesting right?" the witch said crackling with laughter at the end
"Can you help me or not?" the man asked unbothered by her laughter or her doomed prophecy
"Are you prepared for the cost?" she replied
Instead of answering he put his hands inside his robe and brought a vial containing a single drop of blood "is this enough?" he asked as he handed it over to her
The witch snatched it from his hand with surprising speed as she murmured "a blood of a divine beast of course it's enough kekeke consider it done" a smile on her face as she waved and caused the cauldron to disappear, she then walked into the center of room where on the ground was a pentagram circle for protection.
" O ancient spirits hearken to my voice as I thread upon the domain of fate, guide me in my journey of truth and may this offering be acceptable unto you" the witch said as she opened the vial and pored the drop of blood into the circle
as soon as she did that the circle glowed bright red and the witch was lifted up her feet by an unseen force, she was levitating in the air when she began to speak "I see it, its searching for something… something not of this world old in nature, something that will break the se- oh no it sees me sh-"
she never completed what she was saying as black smoke began to spill out of her mouth uncontrollably and then her eyes turned black like she had become a vessel of pure darkness.

her right hand bent backward breaking the bone in the process, same for her left leg and then the witch spoke in a raspy chilling voice that was different from her own "spying on someone is bad you know and then the head of the witch snapped toward the man with such force he swore he heard her neck break I know you the voice continued yes, the emperor's personal hound I see rumors of your strength are not exaggerated but you should know there's nothing you can do to stop what's coming...the means to our freedom is within our grasp"

The sound of a sword leaving its sheath resounded through the room as the head of the witch slipped off its shoulders the head rolled to a stop at the feet of the man who had magically appeared behind the witch inside the circle the smoke left her body but not before having the last word "you have been warned hound, interfere at your own peril" and then the corpse of the witch lit ablaze
"I have caused you harm witch I apologize" the man bowed to the burning corpse of the witch
"Please as if something like that could kill me" a voice of a little girl was coming from where the witch body was supposed to be burning as soon as the smoke cleared a young girl between the age of 12-13 stood where ashes was supposed to be
"How-?" the man was about to ask but was interrupted by the witch
"Tell your emperor he owes me one, you can go now"
"How do I find it?" the man asked with no intentions of leaving until he received the answer he came for.
"Find the boy with hair as white as snow and golden eyes that shine as bright as the sun" she said and then with a wave of her hand the man found himself outside the building he took a deep breath before he bowed once more and in a single step vanished from sight

"Where is he?" A furious Angelica asked the knights who had found her unconscious in the cave
"Who is it you seek my lady?" One of the knights asked
"The boy" Angelica said with a tiny bit of anger in her voice
"What boy?" the knights asked confusion in their voice for there had been no sign of anyone when they entered the cave
