Opening my eyes I sighed. Ever since I began arming and creating a basic martial arts army at the base of my mountain. A few loose cultivators were investigated and I was able to kill another 6 cultivators. During this time I also had Artoria follow along to help.
A Peak Early stage, 3 Third Layer, and 2 Second layer loose cultivators. Obtaining 3 storage bags and 3 low-grade magical artifacts. As well as some talismans and other spiritual fruits and some other spell manuals and techniques. Surprisingly, I was also able to find some spiritual stones.
Probably used by them to cultivate and increase their cultivation. My own cultivation had increased significantly. I had made great progress and because I hunted down other loose cultivators.
I was able to speed up my cultivation and reach the Third Layer of the Qi Refinement realm. Most of my spells had also increased to the Proficient stage and I found a couple of new spells.
During this time Artoria had also cultivated to the Second Layer and our relationship had significantly increased. Although we haven't gone through with having sex. It was mostly me worrying about Artorias' future.
Even if she wanted to play for now I at least wanted her to wait for the Foundation Establishment realm. And given how fast she cultivated within the mortal world. Her three spiritual roots must be of a high grade or her spiritual body was of a high grade. After all, although cultivating a Technique that isn't compatible with one's own spiritual roots. Having a spiritual body was incredibly heaven-defying. Most spiritual bodies had incredible benefits. And the slow cultivation speed that most would find was something that spiritual bodies didn't care about.
It was basically having an adult cultivate when it was originally supposed to be a small child trying to walk with 2 left legs. How could an adult not know how to walk properly even with such deformations?

Anyways, during this time although we couldn't properly dual cultivate. Because of a chance encounter with that one Peak Early-stage Qi Refinement loose cultivator. Who somehow obtained this powerful dual cultivation technique. With both of us having either a higher cultivation realm or a spiritual body.
This increased our cultivation speed by a considerable amount. Otherwise, even with Artorias' current ability she could not cultivate so fast in the thin spiritual mountain of the Mortal world.
And because of the whole 'Once proven always proven' type thing, when I cultivate my spells and I make progress. No matter how small or how much. It is always proven.
But my progress could be considered a bit slow given that I was a transmigrator and someone with a system. Because of this and my own impatience I decided to just use my gold advantage gacha ticket. If I was lucky I would obtain something usable that could help me speed up my cultivation.
Or at least give me something to do. After all, even with my Refining Assistant which acted as a Profession/Class only gave me access to a few inferior grade enchantments. Basically, things that mortals and martial artists would like. But not anything useful to cultivators or Mages from that world.
Right. Mages, throughout the days that I spent on my Profession, [Refining Assistant]. I was able to slowly increase my 'experience' for the class. As I continued to create and slowly use my new mana pool to create enchanted items.
Knowledge and insight flooded my head slightly. Giving me the feeling that enhancing the Profession and increasing its ranking was possible. Just very difficult and time consuming. Which is why I decided to spend some time on it while writing down my thoughts.
This would serve as a Minor Dao and future foundation for my Ma Family. An inheritance that my future descendants would naturally be able go use.
Apart from my name, age, realm and spiritual root. Below that was now a new term that was below those.
Bloodline. My race was naturally [Human] and so it wasn't represented on my status screen. But my bloodline had increased given the fact that my mana was subtly affecting my body and one of my traits was both a [Bloodline] related and [Luck].
It took until a week ago before my bloodline was finally elevated and reached [Mortal I(15/100)]. What did this mean? It meant that my descendants had a great chance at awakening mana and obtaining the ability to enchant items.
As well as obtaining some of my [Bloodline] trait that awakened beforehand. Honestly, sooner or later my bloodline would probably be too powerful that even having children would take years.
After all, this was a common trope in cultivation novels. The stronger the parents the higher the difficulty in conceiving children.

Honestly, just for the chance to obtain another helper and grow my Ma cultivation family. I would have chosen Henrietta. Sadly, Elite Drop magnet looked and it described itself as something better.
Choosing it was only natural and I wanted to see what the loot dropped would look like in a world without the whole dungeon system loot drop mechanic.
Anyways for now this couldn't be tested. For some reason loose cultivators have somehow recieved information that a powerful loose cultivator was hunting down lone cultivators. The mortal world was large and it had at the very least the same size as my past world.
It was also because of this size that even if cultivators only amounted to 0.00001% or whatever. At least a tens of thousands existed since the opportunity to become a cultivator was very low within the Mortal world. Even if some sect envoys appeared every dozen of years to search for talented disicples. Ascension Altars were placed all over the mortal realm but you had to reach a certain requirement to even join a sect.
After all, the Cultivation world was even larger and more prosperous then the mortal realm. Even if some cultivators had ties to the mortal realm only a few ever returned. And if they did it was only to relocate their mortal clansman to the cultivation world.
As the saying goes, ' When one ascends to the heavens even his chickens and dogs become Immortal' or something like that.
Cultivation resumed and time passed by.
Nearly half a year passed by and due to my cultivation speed and some resources. Alongside dual cultivation with Artoria, both of us increased our cultivation by a large amount. Checking my status I smiled and quickly sighed at the fact that no more loose cultivators appeared near your area of hunting.
Because of this I was forced to wander across cities and towns. Searching high and low for spirirual items. Most were used on the spot while some were brought back for Artoria to eat.
It was also during this time that I regretted not finding a beautiful martial artist women to serve as entertainment while wandering. After all, it was boring even with my greatly enhanced speed due to my proficiency in movement spells.
Returning home I glanced at Artoria who was currently dressed lightly, and sitting on a cultivation cushion next to my own cultivation chamber. Shaking my head I merely checked up on my concubines and smiled.
Soon my children would be born and then I could truly say that I was an Old Ancestor. Even if the family was just starting out.
"Cultivating spells is really difficult after it reaches a certain point" I mutter to myself as I stare at my cultivation status screen. Most of the spells or the techniques I had were currently already near Minor Accomplishment. Once this was reached I would have a greater reliance during combat that wasn't just my gauntlets.

It would take some time though. After all, with my low comprehension reaching this level was because of my status screens special aspect. Otherwise, some of my spells proficiency would have long since fallen by a few dozen points.
