Chapter 9 - Chapter 9 - Children Born

I causally stepped out of my cultivation chamber and sighed. A few days have passed since Artoria's promise of mating every single night. Of course, purely during the night since she had to cultivate and spells to practice.

Except for every month on the full moon where we would both dual cultivate. After all, given her powerful Yang Qi and lesser Yin Qi due to being a women. I naturally had to shoulder the burden of tempering her Yin Qi and Yang Qi. Dual cultivation helped alot but havin sex for a long time wasn't the correct path.

Because of this I checked the time when the full moon arrived. Made sure to prepare some spiritual items in advance and hope that we don't go into a mating frenzy again.

During these few days of peaceful and slice of life-ish time. I spent most of it studying and correcting some mistakes on my Enchantments. Of course, nothing too big just the large amount of Mana it was taking to enchant some items.

I just figured out that if I personally created and crafted an item. This item would have a slighty higher chance of being able to sustain multiple enchantments. It was an incredible boost to my enchantments and I was now learning how to be a Blacksmith from some Master Blacksmiths.

Standing in front of a long sword I stared at the 3 enchantments that I drew on it.

"[Sharpness I], [Unbreaking I], and [Piercing I]. All inferior grade enchantments but the strongest Inferior offensive enchantments I have at the moment"

With a swing I couldn't help but smile. This was my first long sword forged by my own hand and with 3 Inferior grade enchantments laid on it. It's powerful could be considered Half-Step Magical artifact. Of course, one of the most inferior ones but it was still incredibly powerful for me and the martial artists under my command.

Arming them wasn't bad and even if they formed an army of thousands.

And I couldn't arm all of them after all I had to make the weapons and then take some time to enchant them. Within 10 years if I causally forged some weapons or just bought some weapons. 10 years or 1 year depending on my enchantment speed and if I forged the weapons myself.

None could touch me with my powerful gauntlets. And my true reliance in this current stage of my life.

Artoria Pendragon. She was already immensely powerful before she began to cultivate. And now that she was nearing the Fifth layer of the Middle stage of the Qi Refinement realm, she had grown much stronger. Even with my gauntlet, before obtaining [Twilight Healing] and my new gacha rewards. She could fight me one-on-one.

My gauntlets and my status screen merely gave me a boost to my combat power. But, Artoria was a prodigy and she fought with the experience of a veteran.

...

"Honestly, if I were an insecure man my pride..." I took a deep breath as I stared at the blue sky, "...Would have shattered by now!" I glanced at Artoria who was currently just practicing a few spells. Given her low talent for spells she decided to follow her orginal path of being a Swordsman.

"Hahaha. Of course, you do have exceptional talent for Spell techniques. I currently have the foundation of decades of hard work on the sword. Of course, even with the multiple buffs and gacha rewards you couldn't defeat me." She said with a smile and also explained why she could fight and defeat me so quickly.

Raising my hand I causally manifested my sacred gear and healed my tired body.

I now had 3 sources of energy within my body.

My spiritual Qi, my gacha energy and Mana. Spiritual Qi and Mana were on the same rank while Gacha energy was more...MORE. Anyways, although I couldn't make one energy into another. At least I could feel that if I tried hard enough then I could naturally create a 'trait' for that.

"I think in a year or two we can travel to the Cultivation Marketplace and check it out"

"Our cultivation speed has been decreasing and even dual cultivation isn't fast enough. We need a true spiritual mountain to start our family...and we can't find one within the Mortal world"

Artoria glanced at me and nodded.

"Once I reach the Late stage or even the Peak of the Middle Stage of Qi Refinement...I should have the strength to fight a Peak Qi Refinement cultivator or even trade blows with a Foundation Establishment cultivator. With your support and artifacts."

Listening to her I couldn't help but shake my head. She was probably right with her spiritual body. Her power was naturally stronger then the average cultivator. Plus, if she continued to cultivate fire spells her power would increase by a considerable amount.

After all, a Fireball spell should not be as strong as the one she unleashed on you!

====

I raised a sword and slowly guided my mana into the swords body. After an hour of hard work the 2 enchantments of [Sharpness] and [Swift] were created.

Throwing the sword outside I stepped out and thought about my current situation.

I opened the storage bags a while away and obtained a few more cultivation techniques.

Specifically, a [Balanced Element Qi Art], [Four Element Furnace Art] and [Tri-Element Growth Art]. The first one was a Middle grade, Yellow rank cultivation technique. The other 2 were high grade.

A few dozen jade slips in total. Mostly about the cultivation realm, 2 were about Alchemy and Talisman. Each were High grade, Yellow rank. And 2 others were about Artifact Refining and Spiritual Plant Master. Though the two jade slips were only of Mid grade, Yellow rank.

300 low grade spiritual stones, 3 medium grade magical artifacts and a high grade flying boat magical artifact. Some materials for alchemy, and talismans. A few dozen low grade and 3 medium grade talismans. A few spells from low grade to high grade.

Essentially, everything was worth about 1200 spiritual stones in total.

Giving Artoria 2 storage bags and some items was easy enough. After all, I did have 9 of them. Of course, some storage bags had little or nothing at all. Loose cultivators were generally poor after all.

[Feat Achieved:Obtain 100 spiritual stones

Reward:1 silver random gacha ticket]

[Feat Achieved:Obtain 500 spiritual stones

Reward:1 gold random gacha ticket]

[Feat Achieved:Obtain 1000 spirirual stones in assets.

Reward: x1 gold advantage random gacha ticket]

I was suprised but also not. After all, in some novels with these types of systems. Obtaining cash could also gain feats and when comparing spiritual stones to mortal currency...

Well nearly 1000 gold taels was barely equal to a low grade spiritual stone. If compared to US dollars then it was about 4.3 million dollars. Compared to 100 that was 430 billion, 1000 that was 4.3 trillion dollars! Of course, this didn't fill me with joy. After all, Xianxia tropes were everywhere in this world. And one of the greatest tropes was...if a world had less resources such as Spiritual stone fragments or sand used as currency.

Then the world wasn't as prosperous and didn't have a high power ceiling. But given the fact that even Qi Refinement realm cultivators could have such assests. This meant that the resources were abundant. That even loose cultivators could obtain such items.

The worlds power cieling was high and I may have been thrown into a 'Upper World' with the hope of ascension into the Immortal realm right off the bat.

Aka, a Middle Thousand World. I was both scared and grateful that I was born in such a world. After all, treasures to increase talent or acquire spirirual bodies should be easy to obtain. By easy I mean even at the Foundation Establishment realm one could obtain a method to obtain such a spiritual body.

And I could cultivate further, lay a better foundation and have a greater chance at not becoming an 'Immortal Miner' trapped by the powerful forces within the Immortal realm.

Within seconds I quickly slapped myself and shook my head.

Why the fuck was I thinking so far ahead? I was currently a mere Qi Refinement ant and I had no backing. Even with all my methods and strength I could probably barely trade blows with a Loose cultivator at the Foundation Establishment realm.

"Truly, having a system makes one arrogant" I laughed quietly as I decided to just go to sleep. Thankfully, my dual cultivation session with Artoria was the day before and thus I could sleep without worrying about anything.

"Waaahhhh" Listening to the sounds of 2 babies crying I couldn't help feel some joy. Even if these children didn't have spirirual roots. I could calmly claim that starting now my Ma Family was finally founded.

I would have to take in a couple more concubines to expand my family. But that would be for a later time.

Liang Yue and Ya were both looking tired and given that both of us were cultivators and I had a luck trait. I hoped that my children were born with spirirual roots.

Sadly I would have to check once they reach the age of 1 before I could make sure.

"Now your a daddy" Artoria said with a smile as she rubbed her large stomach. I rolled my eyes and kissed her cheek.

"Alright, alright. My children were just born and now my Ma family has a great future. With my great luck the family should grow after this generation and by the time they grow up we should have some foundation within the cultivation world."

...

Playing around with my 5 children I couldn't help but think about what to name them. And also about cresting a character generation theme poem. After all, I've always seen xianxia family's do this and since my family would naturally be established. I also had to establish a poem.

Given that my name was Ma Tianfei it would naturally be the generation of Tian which was the character for Heaven.

天元贞建德 – Tiān yuán zhēn jiàn dé

Heaven and origin, loyalty and virtue

弘启俊宇明 – Hóng qǐ jùn yǔ míng

Magnificent beginnings, talented and bright across the universe

思承泽运永 – Sī chéng zé yùn yǒng

Wisdom inherits grace and fortune eternally

祥宏泰光耀 – Xiáng hóng tài guāng yào

Auspicious, grand, peaceful, radiant, shining

(Author:Chatgpt helped me out lol)

Learning chinese characers in a Xianxia was difficult since what I remembered it being was vastly different from the characters in this world.

Of course, being someone who never learned to write in China's language learning a seperate language was easier. After all, as a cultivator my spirirual sense and enhanced mind naturally helped me learn it quickly.

Because my family would be a cultivation family, each generation would be around a hundred years since cultivators could naturally ascend. Establishing a family who valued Elders and Power was good enough for now. Moreover most of the power would always be in the hands of my Ma family and thus nothing else mattered.

"We'll name them once they grow up a bit more. Those without spiritual roots will not be given the Family's generation character [Yuan]" I stated calmly as I glanced at the 4 women who were currently hugging the adorable babies.

"Mortals and Cultivators are different. Don't worry if a child is born within the mortal members then they will naturally be a part of my Ma cultivation Family"

I didn't even glance at Artoria since with her spiritual body and my traits. Our child would naturally be born with spiritual roots. It was just whether or not the child would have a spiritual body or inherit some of my traits.
