Loose cultivator Xian Yu was a fortunate cultivator. At the age of 15, he obtained the legacy of a cultivator and began his cultivation journey. Sadly, due to weak strength and almost no resources. He spent decades within the Early stage of the Qi Refinement realm.
Reaching the Peak of the Early stage within his Fifties but by then he was already feeling the strain on his body. Although Spiritual Qi nourishes the body, the injuries he gained during his younger years when he fearlessly charged into battle against other loose cultivators...
His lifespan was damaged and his left arm was gone. He was essentially a cripple, sure he could try and find a magical artifact arm within the Marketplaces...but those places were far into the Cultivation world that he didn't dare to go. Currently, his only hope was reaching the Middle stage of the Qi Refinement realm and opening up the storage bags he had.
With the resources within maybe he could buy an arm from a corpse cultivator and receive help to regain an arm. After all, he would never impact the Foundation Establishment Realm so it was better to increase his current strength and then go back and start a small cultivation family.
"Come out. Although I do not have the spiritual sense that a Qi Refinement Middle-stage cultivator obtains, my sense of danger was honed through countless battles. Daoist friend should come out and see if we can talk this out." The old man stated calmly, his right arm gripping his inferior-grade, sword magical artifact.
"Hahaha! I'm not afraid to tell you, friend. Leave behind everything you have and I may consider letting you live" A young man stepped out of the shadows, Spiritual energy glowed brightly as it surrounded the powerful-looking gauntlets he wore.
"Daois friend, we have no deep grudge between us. Injuries could allow someone else to profit out of us can you really bear with it?"
===
I stared at the old man and for a moment I couldn't help but laugh. Forcefully stopping myself I snorted.
"Enough talk. Let our fists do the talking"
I stepped forward and launched myself towards the old man. Watching as he raised his arm I finally noticed that he was crippled. Wasn't this just my luck working favors for me?!
I raised my arms and smashed downwards.
Crack~ Crack~
The old man's eyes widened in fear as his sword broke under the immense pressure of my gauntlets. Not giving him a chance to cast any spells, I raised my fist and smashed it towards the old man's head.
- Splat -
"Huuu~ A talisman huh? Even if you had activated it, my fist would have still killed you" I muttered as I grabbed the 3 storage bags, the fragments of the inferior-grade magical sword, the bag, and the talisman he attempted to use.
"Now I have 4 storage bags...although most look like inferior grade magical artifacts" I threw everything into the backpack I brought before quickly digging a hole and throwing the corpse of the man into the ground. Raising my hand I unleashed a powerful fireball before closing the hole.
I didn't want some Corpse Cultivators to find this cultivator's body and use it to refine a Zombie or Skeleton soldier. Because of this most cultivators generally destroyed the corpses of other cultivators. Of course, this was for loose cultivators. Some sects and clans create a place for the dead cultivators to stay.
I quickly rushed back towards my horse, it was time to leave and check out what the bag held.
===
"Remember, notify me whenever a loose cultivator is around us. As long as you all serve me for 20 years. I promise to allow a few of your members to step onto the Cultivation Path if they have spiritual roots"
Which basically translated to the women would join my harem and the men would become my labor force. After all, I didn't need to give them the entire [Basic Five Element Cultivation Technique]. I could just write the Early stage part, the Middle, and the Late stage parts separately.
"Thank you, Master Ma!" With the promise of cultivation, the families bowed their heads. Though Fatty was smiling widely since his children were already my concubines and both had talent to cultivate.
Sadly, I didn't have many expectations for the current families. After all, it was already a stroke of luck that the Liang girls had spiritual roots.
Leaving the Inn, I walked away and towards my mountain. Carrying a large backpack I finally decided to check out the notification I received. Sadly, I didn't get a good look at it because I quickly wanted to return and relay the news. Otherwise, who knew what these damned people would do to my home?

Instantly, a surge of memories entered my mind as I watched 'myself' work under an old man who taught and allowed me to practice with some materials. Learning some basic enchantments, and basic refining techniques. Things that probably didn't exist within the Immortal Cultivation world.
From what I understand, most Artifact Masters usually engraved runes, seals, or restrictions onto the artifacts which gave them, their incredible power.
Enchantments were somewhat similar but they mostly used Mana or Qi in my case to gift a weapon a sort of enchantment. This could be a 'Dust removing' enchantment for clothes or 'Sharpness' for weapons. In the end, it was a bit weaker than what Artifact refiners do but it could also be stacked onto said artifacts.
Anyways, receiving the foundational knowledge about being a Refining Assistant this could be a first-order, low-grade foundational technique for my Ma family. If I had to give this Profession a name...then it would naturally be Enchanter.
Totally not ripping off the enchantment abilities from Minecraft! Totally not.
Hehe.
Anyways, following an hour of slowly digesting the memories I glanced at the next gacha result and smiled.
Wasn't this why I was desperately wanting to obtain gacha tickets? Artoria Pendragon, aka Saber a powerful but petite woman whose power is known to all. Even now in a severely weakened form, she could probably defeat me given that the legends about Artoria Pendragon were spread throughout the world.
The original Artorial from the Fate night series must have an Elite or even low Epic level of power, her unleashed version or her novel version was probably Legendary and beyond. Anyways, for now, if she were comparable to an Early stage Peak or even a Fourth Stage, Qi refinement realm cultivator then I would have made a profit.
She even came with her own mid-grade magical artifacts. Excalibur and Avalon. As well as her signature knight's magical artifact set of armor.
So, in total, she came with 3 mid-grade magical artifacts and also had the chance to cultivate since I swear that powerful women like her even when downgraded to this level would still have some sort of Protagonist-level aura.
I profited big time, and Artoria Pendragon was worthy of being my Dao companion! Of course, in the future, I would continue to obtain Dao companions either from the Immortal Cultivation world or from the gacha.
Thank god the waifus obtained from the gacha were loyal and it was easier to obtain their affection. If this were a dating simulator then whenever a waifu was summoned I would always have a +100% affection buff at all times. And whenever I tied the knot so to speak and married my waifu they would never fall out of love with me and I wouldn't either. A sort of love protection type thing against NTR and other malicious entities that exist within the world.
The Multiversal Chaos Gacha system was both incredibly powerful and also lazy. It protected my waifus or companions who had traces of other worlds, the fate and luck of said characters. So unless a great power decided to casually investigate their life.
My companions would not be exposed...sadly said protection was only for them, the items, and some of the various things the gacha gave me. For me? I had none of those protections so I needed to be lowkey unless some great cultivator decided that it needed to divine my own existence.
I was just praying that I could obtain a powerful waifu who could protect my fate, suppress my luck, and be the guardian of my Ma family, and in consequence be my own Dao Protector.
I stood up from the hidden cave I carved out with my spiritual power. I stepped out and sped towards the mountain. Of course, behind me was the petite Artoria Pendragon who already understood everything. Given that the chaos gacha gave her a surge of knowledge about this world.
Thankfully, maybe it was because Artoria wasn't born in a high fantasy world or maybe it was because the chaos gacha found a suitable version of 'her'. She didn't seem scared instead she had a kingly aura which really made it awkward.
Would this Artoria want to establish a kingdom in this world as well? It wouldn't be difficult given that I was a cultivator and she could fight evenly against Early stage to Middle stage cultivators.
But I did not want to step onto the interests of various Families, clans, sects, or even Immortal Nations/Kingdoms within the Immortal cultivation world.
Hopefully, she would understand that we couldn't fight against the majority of the cultivation world yet. If she desired a Kingdom then for now I could only paint a picture of a kingdom and slowly try and find a way to distract her from those dreams.
Children and working on getting stronger were some methods I could think of to slowly make her focus on other things.
