Chapter 100:
Julie's Point of View
I was in desperate need to speak with Max and inform him of Robert's approval.
I went down to the lower floor where his room was located and knocked on the door with successive knocks that reflected my anxiety.
He opened the door for me, that usual sarcastic smile etched on his face as he said:
"Yes, Miss Julie... I suppose you can't bear not seeing me."
I bypassed him and entered the room while exhaling in frustration:
"Don't be ridiculous, Max."
I sat on the edge of his bed, feeling the coldness of the room seeping into my body, and said directly:
"Robert agreed."
He raised an eyebrow in surprise and leaned his massive body toward the closet:
"That fast?"
I shook my head while interlacing my fingers:
"Yes, it was easy to persuade him."
He muttered in a low voice:
"Strange..."
I turned to him seriously and fixed my gaze on his eyes:
