"I am now aware of both of your abilities."
The Archbishop flashed a kind smile and patted the shoulders of Simu and Hidan.
"Since you have received Lord Jashin's blessing, you must work hard to expand the Jashin Religion. Rule the Shinobi World as soon as possible to repay Lord Jashin's kindness."
Hidan let out a huff upon hearing this, speaking with utter disdain, "What's the point of ruling the Shinobi World? My dream is to kill everyone and offer them to Lord Jashin!"
Simu's expression remained equally flat. "Sacrificing the entire Shinobi World to Lord Jashin is the only correct path."
"Bastard Simu, killing is what's correct!"
Simu glanced at him. "If you dare say another word, I will sew your head onto the backside of my neighbor's seven-hundred-pound sow."
"You... dammit..."
Although Hidan gnashed his teeth, he finally stopped arguing.
The Archbishop looked at the two of them and whispered to himself, Lord Jashin must be testing me!
After some mental preparation, the Archbishop said to them, "While Lord Jashin's blessings are indeed powerful, you are currently unable to exert their full potential."
He produced two syringes and continued, "Each of you draw a vial of blood. Once I have conducted my research, I will tell you how to develop Lord Jashin's true power."
Hidan raised an eyebrow, immediately ready to curse out the old man. He had been annoyed with the old fellow for a long time, but after catching Simu's gaze, he abandoned the thought.
Furthermore, he knew Simu was a man of his word. If he really ended up sewn to the rear of an old sow... and with that bastard's sewing technique, he'd probably be sewn on backward. At that point... Gag.
Hidan's head, lying on the floor, suddenly began to dry heave. Simu looked at him with surprise.
"Hidan, are you telling me you're afraid of needles?"
"Are you joking? This great me isn't even afraid of blood, why would I fear a nee—Gag!"
Hidan couldn't even finish before he started retching again. Fortunately, he currently lacked a body, so nothing actually came out.
"Enough nonsense. Hurry up and draw the blood."
The Archbishop was uncharacteristically impatient. He felt that if this dragged on any longer, he would eventually turn into an idiot like Hidan. He took the syringe and drew a full vial of blood directly from Hidan's body. This small amount of blood loss was negligible to a self-mutilation expert like Hidan, who lost far more during a single session of self-harm.
Simu did not resist either, allowing the Archbishop to draw a vial of blood from him. However, the Archbishop seemed to think of something and added, "Simu, your body is special. I need to draw a bit more from other areas."
Simu simply nodded. It was just a bit of blood; it meant nothing to him. As long as he had enough energy, he could manufacture as many of these Kagune and clones as he wanted!
More importantly, Simu did not yet understand this world well enough. He didn't know the power system, the strength of the top powerhouses, or the current level of the Archbishop. Therefore, Simu did not dare to act rashly. Only after obtaining sufficient intelligence could he take appropriate action.
He was not a brainless fool like Hidan. However, an accident occurred when the Archbishop tried to draw blood from the Kagune.
The problem was... the Kagune was too hard! The needle simply could not pierce it!
"Simu, bear with it."
As the Archbishop spoke, he pulled a lozenge-shaped weapon with a handle from beneath his black robes.
If Simu remembered correctly, this was a weapon from the island nation known as a Kunai. A faint blue energy emerged from the Archbishop, wrapping around the weapon. With the reinforcement of this energy, the sharpness of the Kunai increased significantly, and it sliced directly through Simu's Kagune.
Through the wound, the Archbishop finally finished collecting the other three vials of blood.
"Archbishop, what was that you just used?" Simu asked.
He was quite curious about the energy capable of cutting through his Kagune. This also proved his caution was justified. He could not act blindly without figuring out the intelligence of this world.
Seeing Simu's confused expression, the Archbishop smiled. Chakra was not something a wild child from the mountains like Simu could encounter. If Lord Jashin hadn't made Simu his whetstone...
Despite his internal disdain, the Archbishop showed the "Divine Son" enough respect on the surface and explained:
"Chakra is a special energy refined by combining spiritual energy and physical energy. It is the foundation for performing Ninjutsu and a necessary requirement for becoming a Shinobi."
Shinobi...
Simu's eyes narrowed slightly as if he were deep in thought.
"Hah! Only Lord Jashin's power is the strongest! Whatever Ninjutsu, Shinobi, or Five Kage—they will all die by my hand sooner or later and become offerings to Lord Jashin!"
The head on the floor began to fantasize again. However, neither Simu nor the Archbishop intended to pay him any mind.
Seeing Simu's apparent interest, the Archbishop asked, "What? Do you want to learn Ninjutsu?"
Simu nodded without hesitation. "Only by mastering enough knowledge and power can I offer the Shinobi World to Lord Jashin as soon as possible."
At these words, a hint of appreciation appeared in the Archbishop's eyes. He even began to consider whether to spare Simu's life later; he seemed like he would be a good assistant.
"It's good that you have such thoughts. But for now, the most important thing is to master the abilities Lord Jashin gave you. To aim for too much at once leads to failure."
The Archbishop adopted the air of a senior, teaching him with a condescending tone.
Simu lowered his head slightly. "Yes."
"There is nothing else. You may leave."
"Yes."
After Simu left the laboratory, he picked up Hidan and asked, "Where are the historical records of the Jashin Religion kept?"
"Historical records?" Hidan rolled his eyes in disdain. "As a follower of Jashin, you actually want to look at those things?"
Simu wasn't surprised at all by such words from Hidan. He said indifferently, "Otherwise, should I be like an idiot who accidentally pooped out his brains and thinks about nothing but killing all day?"
"What did you say?!"
Seeing Hidan about to flare up, Simu instantly interrupted his "casting": "Last time, I found a few decent wild boars in a cave. They even had two big tusks."
"Mr. Hidan, you wouldn't want your body to be sewn to a big pig's head, would you?"
"You dare!" Hidan immediately voiced his solemn protest.
"If you don't want that, then take me there now!"
Faced with his superior's tyrannical pressure, Hidan had no choice but to choose humiliating submission.
