Cherreads

Chapter 8 - Chapter 008: Morning

A ringing bell of a clock was heard beside the bedside table, as a lazy hand drew over it to turn it off. It languishingly smacked on its head as the ringing began to pause. Kincsem began to lurch upwards as she stared at the time that was read. Half past seven.

Getting up, she brushed her teeth and did her hair like any day, before changing. Yet it seemed as though she was the last person to get up. As in the door well stood TM Opera O, Opera House and her own mother. As they all shouted in unison. "Happy Birthday!"

A crown was thus laid pridefully by TM Opera O on Kincsem's head, acting as a ruler who was passing down the crown to the next heir in line, with her hands wrapping around her in a hug. "We have so much planned later!"

She spoke ecstatically, as she pulled away, letting Cambuscan talk to her daughter. "Ah, and if you want you can open the presents now. They are downstairs in the living room." As a slightly tired Opera House continued on Cambuscan's behalf.

"After we eat breakfast, we are going to the venue where your birthday is taking place. It's set to begin at ten am, with lots of my daughter's classmates willing to participate too." She spoke, before turning away to walk downstairs, with Kincsem walking behind.

The food's aroma wafted through the air, its delectable smell drifting over to Kincsem, enticing her to come eat. As the group sat down to go eat. A platter filled of Hungarian styled food was placed on the table, urging for her to eat, and she agreed at its pleas

After having a filling of food, the others had decided to begin to change. Leaving her by herself as she got up to look at the box in the living room, it being almost a metre tall was of a surprise, yet she began to open it. Grabbing a pair of scissors, she sliced the tape keeping the box's top sealed, peering inside it.

Within it lay a letter, and a few smaller sized boxes. Unsealing the letter, she began to read. With it being addressed from her father. 'Sorry for not being able to celebrate your birthday with you, My precious. But I hope this makes it up to you.' It opened with, as the body of text continued.

'In one of the boxes, is a new dress that you can wear to the party your mother has planned for you. She always has a good plan for birthdays anyways, definitely takes it up a notch in quality.' As he began to discuss the other presents. One being a games console, another being high quality shoes that fit her, and so on.

'For the last gift, I haven't quite wanted to disclose it, but it's an envelope assigned from you. It took a while for me to get a hold of this, so I hope you do read it. Hope you have a good birthday, Kincsem.' As it ended, placing it down, she reached down into the crate to pick at what was inside.

Laying several boxes on the table, as she opened one listed as clothing. In it lay an ornamental dress, with undoubtedly similar style to her current one. Grasping it, she went back to her room, changing into it.

It fit to her exact dimensions, snug over her and felt free to move around, as she twirled in the mirror, satisfied by how it looks. Although gorgeous, it wasn't overbearing in terms of detail nor was it large like it was suited for a wedding, just being the right size to suit her.

Leaving the room, she sat down slowly on the couch whilst making sure the fabric won't get trapped within the cushions, waiting for the rest of them. As TM Opera O finished changing into her clothes first.

She walked down the staircase in casual clothing, a black suit that had yellow lining in the T-shirt accentuated the detail only lightly, but made it look a dozen times better. As she began to take awe of the dress Kincsem wore.

"As expected of a noble!~ You now look the part of an esteemed heiress! Ah Ha hahaha! Truly such an impeccable appearance. Such beauty is even comparable to my level, as a cousin of mine should be perfect."

As Kincsem thanked the praise from her cousin, her mother and aunt both walked down the staircase, each dressed exceptionally well, as Opera House stared at the clock. "It seems we are all ready, and that you have opened your presents. Were they good?" she asked, with Kincsem nodding as a reply.

"Yes, but I have decided to open these two letters later. Seeing as how my father hadn't described its contents, it must be more important than all these other gifts." She stated, as Opera House chuckled, grabbing the keys off of the countertop.

"Indeed it could be, but we should get going now, it's already quarter past eight, and I don't think we want to be late to your own birthday party." As they all went outside to get into her car. Its engine starting to run, before pulling out of the driveway and onto the streets.

"It's not easy to get a hold of a venue reservation to the place we are going to today, but I think it perfectly fits the vibe so it's fine." Opera House spoke, whilst concentrating on the steering wheel. "But because the JRA has begun to get more lenient, it's now more possible. May down the line they'll let foreign Uma Musume participate in Japan classics, but we won't ever know, it's just an if."

"JRA? Are we perhaps going to?-" TM Opera O began to inquire, before being interrupted by Opera House. "We are going to the Tokyo Racecourse. It's hard to get reservations but with some connections, it's no issue. Especially if it's for my nephew's twelfth birthday, then so be it!"

She said with light laughter, as they began to drive up to the main centre, already with a small line of people wanting to enter too. "And we are here now! At the Japan Racecourse!"
