Chapter 12 - THE PLAN FLOPPED

chapter 11

"Will you be a little bit quicker, Jiji!" Arisu asked Jian.

"Coming, just a jiffy," Jian replied. He was standing right outside her locker room.

They were preparing to go home, an hour earlier than usual.

"Good golly gosh, Jiji, do you have any death wish today? You have wasted almost a decade already. What if Jinman decides to come here early?" He asked mostly to himself. He has been thinking about it the whole day.

"Well,I don't think he would waste his precious time to be here early. He must be out there, probably killing an innocent soul!" She joked.

"I don't think so, Jiji! Jinman is a man of promise. He does whatever he says."

"Oh, please! Don't tell me you have become a fan of him. And how in heaven do you know so much about him?" She asked.

"I am just saying what I have heard. By the way, what the fuck are you doing? He snapped

"I am trying to zip up my top... why did I wear this today?" She sighed.

They were close enough to discuss such things. Their comfort was mutual, but they never crossed the line.

"Need help?" He asked.

"You wish, but I love my life. I don't want to die at the hands of your future wife," She replied.

"What If it's you," he said almost seriously.

She hesitated."Very funny"

"Jiji, It's past ten minutes! You are going to be the end of me.come out already"he begged

She finally emerged, fidgeting with her dress.

"Golly gosh, what were you doing in there, giving birth?" He threw his sarcastic comments again

"Naa! I was making a bomb to blow up your brain." She shot back sarcastically

They hurriedly walked outside to the parking lot, where Arisu had parked his black bike—"Yul's favorite." Jian's comment sent Arisu into a fit of hysterical laughter.

"Don't ever say her name. She made my life a living hell."

[Narration] Yul was a girl who had a big crush on him.)

"As if you didn't play along!" She teased again.

"Hey! You can't blame a man for his instincts! If a man sees a woman, it's his natural instinct to notice her," he declared lightly trying to pull her legs.

"This is why I told you to stay away from him, love!"

Jinman's voice sliced through the banter.

They were so into the conversation that she didn't even realize someone else was watching them. Arisu's eyes darted for the source of the voice, but Jian knew who it was.

"This can't be happening! How is he here at this time, oh heavens!" The thought slammed into her.

Arisu seemed to notice him now. He was standing right in front of them in his glory. He was leaning over his car, his arms crossed over his chest, and was wearing shades.

"What the hell is he wearing shades at night?" Arisu wondered.

Jian didn't have the courage to look at him. She was feeling guilty for breaking the promise she made him yesterday, even though it was against her will.

"I was just joking, Sir!" Arisu said without stammering. He had a girl to impress.

She expected Arisu to do the talking and save her from embarrassment and getting killed, and she was thankful he did, and was also impressed.

Whereas she thought she couldn't even utter a word, Arisu was speaking a sentence without stammering.

Jinman raised his brow in surprise. How fearless of him! He didn't want to scare her with his actions. Besides, he didn't want to waste time on something he had zero interest in.

He walked straight towards them while removing his shades. Arisu conceded that Jinman did look cool with his attitude.

Jinman walked straight to Jian. Now she was left with no choice but to face him. She wasn't sure what to say to him so she kept mute.

Jinman felt her staring, that she was still afraid of him. "I think we talked about your manners yesterday, love," he said, trying to fetch up a topic to talk over, but a single joke from him seemed like a warning to her.

"Now you are dead, Jian!" She whispered, pointing at herself.

"Good…good day!" She said, more like asked. She forgot that it was already late at night.

Arisu pinched her, trying to point at her stupidity. This action didn't go unnoticed by Jinman; he was mad.

"Don't you ever touch her again, especially in my presence. If you wanna have your head intact, understood?" Jinman said, his voice dangerously low.

Arisu looked at him and nodded obediently. He turned his gaze towards Jian, wondering what he could do to protect her.

"I think we should go?" Arisu said to Jian ,more like asked.

Jian gave him the best glare, ever. She wanted that bloody Jinman gone.

Jinman didn't like the fact that Jian was looking at Arisu; he was jealous. He realized Arisu was being an obstacle between him and his girl.

"You may leave, boy, if you wanna go," Jinman stated.

Arisu's blood boiled with rage like a volcano as he heard him refer to him as "boy"

"It's getting late, Sir. Jian needs to go home now, and it's not safe for her to go home alone," Arisu rushed to state his point.

"I am aware of that," Jinman said. Arisu was getting under his skin. He wanted to spend his time with her, but Arisu was not even moving from his spot.

"So—we should be going," he said sarcastically, faking respect.

"I will take her home," Jinman stated.

"It's okay, Sir. Ari always…drops me home. You don't ha..ve to worry. You don't have to worry about me," she said while stammering.

"I know that, Love, but I will," he said.

Seeing Arisu still there, he turned towards him and gave him the last warning.

"GO!" He said very calmly.

"I insist, Sir! I can drop her—" Arisu continued.

That was the final straw. Jinman's patience was broken. He swiftly removed his gun, as if he had been practicing.

Arisu and Jian both were scared like hell—

"Lemme not repeat myself. Leave!"Jinman commanded
