Chapter 5.
🚨 New Conflict
Suddenly, the sound of loud cries came from the street. Arisu and Jian came outside to see what it was.
Out there, they saw the whole Ragu family breaking out. The three young girls, who were actually Jian's good friends, were holding their mother for dear life. Mrs Ragu Ramesh was crying an ocean.
Jian looked around and saw the whole society out there. She wondered why no one was helping. She looked at Arisu, and Arisu noticed what she wanted to do and stared at her angrily.
"Are you willing to die today?" Arisu asked her.
"Are you crazy! Can't you see they are in trouble?Jian said
" Really, Wonder Woman right? You think this is an Indian movie where the good girls always end up saving the day? They are bloody psychos and they won't think twice when you interrupt them."
"But we can't let this happen, Arisu!" She pleaded. Then, suddenly, she heard a loud slap and saw that Jinman had slapped Ragu Uncle's son.
"Do you think I am a fool? Prepare to be an orphan if you don't settle the debt by tomorrow with the total interest. I don't give a damn to whatever will happen to your sisters."
"Jinman, trust me, just give me two more months, and I will pay every verdant(currency), please..." he pleaded.
Jinman took out his gun from his back pocket and pointed it at the boy's forehead. Jian gasped, surprised and afraid to see the gun.
"Never address me as Jinman. You are not of that level to call me by my name,I will not fucking give you another month, not to even talk of two. One year was enough to pay back! But it seems you are being way too smart." Jinman was about to say more when Pasin whispered something into his ear.
After some thought, Jinman smirked and seemed to praise Pasin.
He turned to the boy and said, "Listen and listen carefully, boy. If you don't want your sisters' lives to be of whores, you will get my money tomorrow,no excuses ."
Pasin just stood there smirking . He knew his boss never gave empty threats. No one could get away from his threats, either; he would actually do as he committed. This is why he respected Jinman. He was aware of the fact that once Jinman decided to get something, he got it, no matter what.
This thought wandered toward Jian. They would had used another method,if they knew she lived in this colony, they wouldn't have been so open with the threat. He knew Jinman needed a woman to complete his life, and that girl seemed perfect for him, Bhagavat or not.
He smiled to himself and started making plans on how to make her fall for Jinman, just like Jinman had. He wouldn't let Jinman be alone again.
Jinman had been through a lot of things, so not being able to get the only girl who caught his attention would definitely hurt him.
Pasin heart crunched as he thought about Jinman getting hurt again. He came back to his senses upon hearing a loud screaming from Mrs. Raju Ramesh, when he saw that Jinman had shot her husband's leg in a final warning.
Jian couldn't help but gasp and release a low pained noise.
Arisu instantly hugged her around to hide her from the possible thing going on outside. He could see blood flowing through Ragu uncle like a waterfall. He cried out in pain, and hearing his cries made Jian clutched Arisu's arm more tightly. Arisu felt bad for her; he knew she was too fragile to witness such a bloody scene. But he was somehow glad she was witnessing all this; he wanted Jian to see how cruel Jinman was—so she wouldn't even spare a glance at him if she ever got to see him again.
Mrs. Ragu Ramesh quickly went inside her house and quickly came out with a big bag of something, something which the others couldn't see. Every woman witnessing this were crying lowly; they couldn't do anything. Little did Jian know that her mere presence might stop all this. But she too was standing there, looking at everything like a Korean movie.
Jian saw Mrs. Ragu Ramesh open the bag and reveal worth of jewelry. She gasped upon seeing such an amount of jewelry. She wondered how much it cost!
Jinman looked at the jewels with distaste; he had never been interested in money or jewelry. He was always hungry for power; he wanted the world under his feet.
Pasin whispered to him again, and after some time, he replied:
"It looks like the lady here is wiser than you two dickheads. I think this stuff will make for half verdant. Get the rest in another week, or else there will be a funeral in this household. Make sure you two dickheads don't run away," he finished and walked towards the colony gate, with Pasin following close behind him.
Jian was too shocked to move a limb. She concluded that it was jewelry that made Jinman leave, and she hated him for that.
At night, Jian didn't have the courage to take in anything after all that she had seen. She wondered how a man could be so cruel. She noted all that Jinman had said mentally , "I'll be here for a week."she recalledÂ
His deep husky voice rang in her head again and again, and she finally came to halt to ignore Jinman . She wished for his mission to get over as soon as possible so that they could all be in perfect peace again.
