The Chieftain Monarch gave me a room of my own, much to Lion's dismay.
My room is near the Chieftain Monarch's personal chamber, making Lion and the rest of the pack feel even worse.
I can understand the Chieftain Monarch's decision as most of the meetings with the council lasted long, with some lasting an entire day or more.
The room that I stayed with Lion previously is not safe for me to be alone due to its location being far from where Lion is going to spend most of his time working currently as the new strategist.
Same with the rest of the pack's rooms.
While the pack are obviously in a bad mood because of that, especially Lion, I didn't mind at all as I understood the Chieftain Monarch's intension.
He must've known what happened to me with Maelsa.
The problem is that, why can't he get rid of Maelsa then?
The Chieftain Monarch is much more powerful than Maelsa unless...
Maelsa is much more dangerous if you are his enemy.
Now I remember the phrase, "keep your friends close and your enemies closer".
I should include Maelsa in my investigation. I don't know what else he does but somehow he does his job quite well. Even though Lion and Sly hated him, they can't deny that he is a great leader and quite deserving being in his position.
The Chieftain Monarch gave me freedom to explore the main palace as long as I'm near him as he assured me that he placed a spell on me that will alert him in case if someone tries to harm me.
Not only him but Lion as well. Despite me reassuring Lion about the Chieftain Monarch's real intensions towards me, he became overprotective and needy.
I understand why he is like that as we haven't spent time being alone with each other since we got back as he is constantly busy, same with the rest of the pack.
In fact, I haven't seen them much lately.
The last time I talked to them was when they were given new positions.
Oh.
Stupid me!
If they are busy, then I should be the one to visit them.

The attendants who assisted me are the same ones who helped me before. I liked them as they are genuinely kind and friendly to me. Most of the females working in the palace are hostile to me but they didn't lay a hand on me.
It feels kind of lonely.
Puma is the only female friend I have but she can't stay here as she has a family.
Although the female attendants aren't allowed to stay too long with me, I still enjoyed their companionship in which they always tell me the latest news and gossip in the palace.
They always made me dress in the very best clothes the palace could offer as they told me that I should show the other females my authority towards the pack.
Authority?
But I'm not ordering the pack around!
I'm not their boss!
In fact, I don't consider myself as one of them. I have my own identity in which the pack kept reminding me about. They always told me that no one is my master and I am the master of my own life.
I think they made it clear to me after what happened to me at the pleasure house.
Though it's a different story with them, especially Lion. In fact, Lion always told me that I'm his leash and that I can do anything to him, even ordering him around in which he will instantly obey gladly.
It's true on what he said as he and the pack would immediately drop what they are doing if I just call their names.
I didn't call them this time as they are quite busy whenever I saw glimpses of them in the palace.
Hmmm.
I should surprise them.

The attendants had dressed me into a very dainty yet alluring dress in which it has a tie around my neck that if I pulled on it, my dress would instantly drop on the floor.
My hair is braided and tied into a knot, exposing my neck, especially the cuff in which Maelsa didn't remove yet.
I've got a bad feeling about that.
After doing my makeup, I took a small bag in which I placed Lion's surprise inside it. I cooked him some food and a dessert as the Chieftain Monarch allowed me to use the kitchen. In return, I should give him some of my cooking, which he loved that he became quite supportive after giving him his share first.
After that, I went on my way towards Lion's office. Several admiring and nasty glances met me from the other creatures in which I ignored as I made my way inside Lion's office.
Oohhh he looks good!
I can't blame the other females lusting on him.
In fact, many females are staring at him right now, including me. He is surrounded by several creatures in which I suddenly felt that I'm disturbing him in his job.
Maybe I should return when he's not busy anymore.
I was almost at the exit when suddenly, I heard a large roar from him.
Oohhh I should exit right now as this may not be a good time as he is quite busy.
Suddenly, I felt Lion embracing me from behind in which he nuzzled my neck, growling towards the other creatures in which they hurriedly exited his office.
Soon, there's only the two of us in his office in which the exit magically disappeared.
He gave me small kisses on my back, telling me that I looked good and that he missed me a lot. Also, he is ecstatic that I visited him, insisting that I should visit him more often anytime as he can easily get rid of the creatures annoying him.
Slowly, I faced him in which I saw his intense delight in seeing me. He apologized to me for being too busy as he began to lick my neck slowly.
I gave him a smirk, in which I pulled the tie of my dress.
He instantly carried me to his desk in which he tenderly laid me on it as he hurriedly removed his clothes.
I must've looked alarmed when he lay on top of me in which he laughed as he assured me that the desk we are on is quite strong and won't break as he placed a spell on it.
I wrapped my arms around his neck, kissing him passionately as I felt him entering me.
It took several rounds of intercourse before I finally remembered my surprise for him. He used magic to float the bag towards him as I am still attached to him.
He told me that he's not yet done and no, we should not stop yet as he just wants to see my surprise for him.
I complained that my back hurts in which he chuckled, changing our position in which he sat on his chair, with me straddling towards him while still being attached to each other.
He opened the bag in which he gave a gasp of delight as he took out everything I cooked for him, including a little something I managed to make while being bored in the palace.
That little something is a handkerchief which I made for him using the materials I brought from my previous world. I kept on procrastinating on making him a handkerchief in which I finally have time to make because of boredom.
He bit me gently on my shoulder as he told me that he will treasure it greatly and will destroy any creature who will try to steal it from him.

I can hear his stomach growling in which I tried to get away from him but he held me tightly, telling me that eating can wait as his hunger towards me hasn't been soothed yet.

After an entire day of recovering inside my room, I decided to visit Sly in his office.
Of course, I brought him all sorts of meat, cooked in different ways. As he doesn't like sweets too much, I made him several desserts that would go quite well with his food. He also has a surprise from me which is a liquor though not that potent that I made secretly for him and also a rare bracelet I bought for him while we visited the territory that I forgot to give it to him.
He isn't in his office so it took quite sometime for me to look for him until I found him entering his new room which turned out to be quite near my room.
That Chieftain Monarch is sneaky.
He didn't move Lion's room near me as he must have an idea that Lion would definitely be distracted with his work if he's staying near me, that is if he stayed in his own room.
When I went inside his room, he seems to be asleep that I decided to tease him a little.
I slowly licked his ear when he suddenly opened his eyes and pulled me towards him, embracing me tightly.
We kissed passionately that soon I can feel us getting heated as our passionate kiss turned into intense hunger towards each other.
It seems that Lion didn't give him permission yet as he tried to avoid losing control of himself.
Still we continued kissing each other hungrily for quite a long time.
He looked at me with so much love in his eyes as I fed him while giving him tender kisses on his face.
He told me that he's so happy right now that he's tempted to take me and go somewhere far away from the territory.
I immediately kissed him softly as I placed the bracelet on his hand.
It took a long time for him to stop crying while clutching the bracelet towards his chest.
Between his sobs, he told me that the bracelet that I gave him is very precious and that he will place it inside his invulnerable treasure chest along with his other treasure that the others are not allowed to touch but they can see it.
But I'm allowed to see and touch it as much as I want.
Since I'm curious, he showed me his treasure chest in which there are two things that are inside it.
The other locket and the bracelet I gave to him back then.
Seeing it made me determined to give him gifts in the future.

He began to protest when I told him that he should drink the liquor that I made for him. He's planning to place it inside the treasure chest when I gave him a glare.
I cautiously told him that the liquor is not potent and it seems more like a juice to him as he has a high tolerance towards potent liquor that it usually took him several bottles of drinking potent liquor before getting drunk.
To my surprise, despite not being potent for me, he got quite drunk after tasting it.
Hmmm...
I should make it again for him in the future.
At the end, I slept in Sly's room as he didn't let go of me.

Ghost carried me in his arms as he ran away from the warriors chasing him, laughing as I continued to scold him.
He gave me a mischievous grin in which he told me that he's going to play hooky and that we're going to a place which he knows that I'll love.
Oh, well.
The Chieftain Monarch already knows what he's getting as he made a mistake of appointing Ghost in his current position but Ghost does a great job though the warriors seemed to think otherwise as they looked like death is kissing them.
It turned out that place he is bringing me is the forest behind the palace. The place itself captivated me as it seems that you are in another world. Unlike the other forests that I visited before, this forest is filled with light and flowers all over the trees.
Ghost told me that the forest is filled with stuff that we can use for cooking.
Besides the usual stuff that we used in cooking, we also harvested some unfamiliar stuff as well as I mentioned to Ghost before that back in my previous world, we have ingredients made from flowers and bark of the trees.
We took a break then I gave him his surprise which is a bag that I made.
Since I was busy showing him the bag, I didn't notice his reaction towards me that I gave a cry of fright when he suddenly embraced me.
He chuckled softly as he nuzzled my ear, telling me that he's going to use it always.
He continued to embrace me while I fed him with the desserts that I made for him. He finished everything in which he asked for more.
I apologized to him as I told him that he already ate everything I made for him and promised him that I will make more desserts for him as soon as we get back to the palace.
We had a lovely conversation after that but was cut short because of sudden rainfall.
It started as a drizzle that later turned intense in which Ghost carried me in his arms as he tried to return back to the palace.
Soon the rainfall became heavy in which he took shelter underneath a large tree. It wasn't a good shelter as we kept on getting wet from the raindrops.
He stood still as we watched the rain when unexpectedly, he kissed me.
I looked at him with surprise in which he just stared at me with emotion in his eyes then continued to kiss me slowly.
I have to admit that I'm surprised by his actions as unlike Orm who told me that he wants to form a bond with him and the others who directly told me that they wanted me to be their mate, he didn't say anything like that though looking back, he gave me several hints of what he feels about me already.
I realized that unlike his strong persona that he usually shows towards everyone, he is quite shy when showing his feelings towards me.
Now that I understood him better, I smiled towards him in which I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him deeply.
His grip towards me tightened as I felt his yearning towards me while kissing.
Since that day, he is more open with his feelings towards me when we are alone though.
