It took quite sometime for me to think about what to give to Orm.
Not to mention deciding on what to cook for him as it would be easier if he were a predator instead.
But he's a prey which is quite funny as in the fantasy books, serpents especially winged serpents loved meat and definitely are predators.
Wait.
He loves spicy food!
I remembered that back then, when we were experimenting on making condiments, he kept on tasting the spices we made.
Ah! I know what to cook for him!
Let's make some curry!
As usual, I gave the Chieftain Monarch his share first in which he improved the quality of the kitchen based on my suggestions. Aside from being his elite companion, he made me his personal chef.
I don't really mind though as I'm quite bored lately and also, because of his position, I have more access to different kinds of ingredients that I haven't seen or tasted before.
Of course, Ghost always drops by when it's cooking time for me in which he always told me that he's on security duty and making sure that I'm safe.
Yeah, right.
Security duty it is as he spent most of the time kissing me instead.

We made several types of curry, half of which Ghost brought back with him. With a grin, he told me that rest assured that the kitchen is definitely safe.
He was about to leave when he saw me preparing to make a dessert.
I told him that I'm going to make some jelly in which he is about to stay longer when we heard the guards calling out his name in furious voices.
Closing his eyes in exasperation, he gave a huge sigh in which he kissed me softly on my forehead then told me to make some for him sometime.
After Ghost left, I made the jelly in lots of different colors which looked too pretty to eat.
I decided to wrap the food in a fancy container and placed it inside a bag, along with my surprise for him.

Finding Orm's office is quite easy as it turns out that his office as being the head of the magic users is beside the room that I looted before.
Uh.
Now I understand why the Chieftain Monarch made the head of the magic users replace everything I stole.
Honestly?
It was quite careless of the former head of the magic users as he's quite lucky that I don't know how to use some of the things I stole.
Like, what if the one who stole it was an enemy?
He deserved to lose his mind.
When I went inside Orm's office, he looked like he was waiting for me.
I gave him a happy smile in which he pouted and tried to ignore me.
He acted like he is engrossed in doing something in which I sighed loudly and acted like I'm about to leave.
In a flash, I felt myself floating towards him in which he hurriedly grabbed me and gently coiled his tail around me.
Then tried to ignore me again.
Instead of being annoyed at him, I started to caress his hair gently while singing a random song softly. I can hear him trying to hum the tune along in which I acted like I didn't hear him.
I continued to sing until I heard some creatures going inside his office.
I should probably leave.
He suddenly whispered in my ear, asking me in a low voice if there's somebody telling me to leave.
His eyes looked at me in a teasing yet longing way. I know that he's a bit guarded about his feelings most of the time because of his trauma, needing reassurances from me.
I gave him a kiss on the cheek in which he looked surprised that soon turned into delight, mesmerizing me that I nearly jumped in fright when I heard several murmurs from the creatures who are observing us.
I felt myself turn red from embarrassment that I immediately covered my face with my hands. He chuckled as he gently removed my hands from my face in which he glanced towards the creatures with a cold look in his eyes.
Soon, tiny icicles began to fill the office in which the creatures immediately left, leaving the two of us alone.
He nuzzled my neck, informing me that the pests had left and that he placed a spell on the door that will prevent anyone from coming inside his office.
Or from leaving his office.
Despite my heart beating fast, I tried to act nonchalantly as if I'm used to him being like that as I gave him the bag containing the food that I cooked for him.
At first, he tried to smile but soon began tearing up. I comforted him by embracing him, caressing his hair in which he picked me up and placed me on his table.
I fed him, in which he eagerly finished all the food, telling me that he decided to make a kitchen inside his office so that he can watch me cook for him while he's working.
Well, whatever makes him happy.
He was confused with the surprise that I gave him. The surprise is a small musical box in which I asked the Chieftain Monarch for help in making it. In return, I cooked some delicious seafood dishes for him in which he told me to approach him whenever I needed help from him anytime.
I took a mental note of what he said.

When I pressed the button, it's me singing a song that I made for him. The song is about how I acknowledged his strength in facing difficulties and reassurances that I'm always here to support him through his ups and downs.
The music stopped in which there was silence inside the office.
Uh...
Why isn't he saying anything?
He continued to stare at me with indescribable look in his eyes when tears suddenly fell down on his face.
I embraced him as he held me tightly, sobbing loudly in which I can feel that he's finally starting to heal.
He's trying to be strong for so long.
I caressed his hair, giving soft kisses on his head in which he perked up with hope in his eyes.
Of course, I know what he wants.
I gently held his face as I closed my eyes, kissing him slowly and tenderly.
Then I stopped and looked into his eyes in which I can see intense joy. He closed his eyes as I gently caressed his face, wiping away his tears as his tail started to coil around us.
I don't know what came over me but I suddenly had an impulsive idea on trying to tease him.
I slowly kissed him as I wrapped my arms around his neck then gave small kisses around his chin and neck in which I can hear him starting to pant.
Then I kissed my way towards his ear in which I whispered his name softly, asking him if he likes what I just did.
It took him quite sometime to answer since whenever he tried to talk, I gently nibbled his ear, making him stop talking immediately.
His eyes looked at me with passion that I pulled his neck towards me and started to kiss him deeply when we suddenly heard his name being yelled from outside his office.
How unfortunate for him.
With a grin, I went down from his table in which he had an annoyed look on his face as he removed the spell from the door.

Alpha looked stressed when I visited him.
He was surrounded by his brothers who looked too eager to see me in which he snarled at them, telling them to leave us alone.
As soon as they left begrudgingly, he made me sit on his lap as he started to give me kisses all over my face.
Being intimate like this made me realized that I haven't spent much time with him despite him being one of my secondary mates.
With a pang, I was reminded of the fact that I can't go back in this world without him making a contract.
Also, I recalled the amount of times in which he tried to rescue me without any thoughts about his own safety.

When I told him that it contains the food that I cooked for him, he howled with happiness that I can see his brothers peeking into the room, eyes filled with curiousity.
He was about to snarl at them again when I told him that I have a surprise for him in which he immediately held my bag in his hand and me in his other arm. When we got outside the palace, he ran.

Even though he ran fast and quite a long time too, he didn't look like he was tired from all that running.
In fact, he looked like he is too full of energy.
Just like a dog.
He sat in front of me, waiting in anticipation as I gave him all the food that I cooked for him.
He embraced me tightly then he started to eat everything but not before telling me to eat too as he will feed me.
I chuckled as I declined, telling him that I made it just for him in which he began to cry.
I told him all sorts of experiences I had back in my previous world while he ate, that I nearly forgot to give him his surprise.
He started sobbing as I wrapped the scarf that I made around his neck in which he thanked me profusely and told me that he will treasure it always and will bite the ears of anyone who tried to touch it, especially his three annoying brothers.
Except me, of course.

He brought me to a small lake at the edge of the territory.
The water looked too tempting but I didn't bring any extra clothes at all.

I slowly removed my clothes in front of him in which he suddenly turned red and tried to avert his eyes.

I highly doubt it as when I opened my eyes, he looked like he is about to devour me.
Our kisses intensified that soon I can feel him losing control as his hands started to touch me all over my body.
If it weren't for the fact that I'm afraid of his... size... and also that Lion hasn't given him permission yet, I would allow myself to get carried away by the moment.
I began moaning softly as he licked my neck while his hand kept caressing my leg.
Thankfully, he stopped in which he told me that he can't blame Sly on nearly losing control. He laughed as he admitted that Sly is a saint compared to him as he is extremely tempted right now to go all the way with me.

I paused for a moment as I remembered what he said when he had a nightmare.

I was about to ask him when we saw his brothers coming towards us.
It was good timing that I'm fully dressed as I don't know what would happen to me if they were a bit earlier.

Time seems to pass slowly though the pack and I managed to adjust to the busy life in the palace.
Lion seems to have no fear that my room is near the Chieftain Monarch's personal chamber as he is sleeping there with me most of the time. Sometimes when he is too busy, I just stayed in his office.
Whenever I fell asleep, he just cradled me in his arm as he continued to do his work. The first time he did that was extremely awkward for me.
It was during the time when he was about to take me somewhere but numerous creatures kept demanding his attention. His mood became sour as his office was filled with the creatures that kept yelling and making all sorts of demands while I just sat on a chair at the corner looking at the chaos until I fell asleep.
I woke up with a fright when I heard a terrible roar from Lion in which I saw his eyes looked like he is about to tear the creatures apart. He slowly went near me then gently carried me in his arms, nuzzling my neck while telling me to go back to sleep as he assured me that he will continue to hold me until he finishes his work.
I can feel the stares from the other creatures towards me in which I tried to squirm away from his grip but then he asked me sweetly if he should make the creatures close their eyes so that I will not be uncomfortable.
That sounds even worse.
After that time, it is quite usual to find Lion holding me with one of his arms while doing his work, much to the Chieftain Monarch's amusement.

I got sick.
The pack took turns taking care of me though Lion stayed with me as much as possible despite being extremely busy lately.
I have an extremely high fever in which Sly's blood didn't manage to heal me this time.
Maybe it is caused by the shock upon hearing that the pack are going away to war against another territory.
I kept getting terrible nightmares in which the pack slept in a protective circle around me in my bed.
I kept sleeping most of the time despite the fact that the day they are about to leave is almost near.
They kept reassuring me with all sorts of comforting words as my fever kept getting worse.
Even the Chieftain Monarch, who visited me sometimes, admitted that he is tempted not to send off the pack but he had no choice this time as he lost several warriors already.
He reassured the pack that he will keep me safe and will definitely summon them instantly if something happens to me that is beyond his capabilities.
I can barely manage to keep my eyes open as I sat on a nest full of pillows while my body is being covered with several blankets as I watched the pack with several warriors standing in front of me and the Chieftain Monarch at the palace courtyard.
After the Chieftain Monarch gave his final orders, the pack with tears on their faces, gave me nuzzles, tender kisses and whispers of all sorts of assurances in which Lion gave me a slow, passionate kiss then telling me that he will return as fast as he can.
My hand trembled as I held up the magical bracelets that I secretly had the Chieftain Monarch made for them that will protect them from a single, lethal attack.
Knowing that my blood is one of the materials needed to make it, the pack's sobs began to intensify as they all put on the bracelet around their wrists.
Then after that, they left.
