I'm thankful that I saw everyone's ultimate form that I'm not that traumatized anymore whenever I see something that is unfathomable to human comprehension.
I'm still scared though.
But not so much like the time that I saw everyone at the throne room.
I no longer try to understand the things that are way outside the basic human understanding.
I accepted the fact that the things I used to know, no longer applied here.
Just like shooting the damned demons.
They are immune to our fire attacks but can still suffer damage from our weapons, even though the weapons that the pack are using are infused with the fire element.
I panted as I tried shooting their damaged body parts, preventing them from regenerating.
Good thing they are not immune to lightning attacks or we would have a harder time in defending ourselves.
The demons are not that humongous, thankfully, but according to my quick observation and estimation, they are a bit bigger than Lion's ultimate form as Lion has the biggest ultimate form among the pack.
They have four arms with huge claws in which some of the fingers looks uneven (I have good eyesight!).
Their skin looks like cracked volcanic rock with glowing molten lava veins running across their bodies in fiery red and orange colors, as if heat is radiating from within.
The demons all have different sizes of their heads, with faces that looked monstrous. They have a wide mouth, extremely sharp looking teeth and glowing eyes. All of them have several large, curved black horns that extend from their head.
They all gave a huge, deafening roar as I tried not to flinch.
I'm standing beside Orm as both of us tried to prevent them from regenerating.
When one of the demons tried to get closer to us, Orm hit it hard using his tail that sent the demon crashing to the wall, at which I am amazed by the sheer strength of his tail. Then I remembered the time at the throne room in which I heard the similar sound that usually followed by the sound of bodies hitting the wall.
I complimented Orm with his strength in which he looks pleasantly surprised at my remark.
He grinned at me and began to attack the demons with renewed vigor, finally killing one of the demons, helping Ghost who looks like he's panting way too fast.

Meanwhile, Sly and Alpha tried to defend themselves against 3 demons while I saw Lion attacking 2 demons by himself.
It was at this point that it looked like I am watching an anime movie fighting scene that is in slow motion. That fighting scene where you can see the male main character (I'm not considering myself as the main female character though!) with a determined look in his eyes fighting against enemies.
His katana sliced through the air with deathly precision, each strike landing on the demon's body with a crash, making the demon roar with anger as I hurriedly shot the damaged part with my pistol, preventing it from regenerating.
The way he moved was like he is teasing death with a dance, treacherous and savage in his move yet acted with smoothness that made me breathless while watching.
I looked at his eyes that gleamed with fierceness and determination to protect us from certain death.
I decided to do my best as well as I wanted to protect him and my friends.
We can do this.

Lion managed to kill the 2 demons by himself while Sly and Alpha finally killed one of the three demons that they are facing with extreme difficulty.
Orm decided to help them by using his tail and he gave me a reassuring smile as he tried to move closer, hitting also the parts that were damaged with his crossbow.
I glanced around and ran towards Ghost as he looked like he was grimacing in pain.
The cloth at the back of his coat was torn in which I can see a huge, gaping wound. Some parts of the skin looked moist and raw in which I can hear faint sounds of sizzling.
He began to sweat fast and his face is starting to get pale.
Good thing I brought my magical notebook and I hurriedly drew the necessary things needed to dress the wound.
Now that his wound is properly treated and covered, I made him drink some water to prevent dehydration as he was sweating profusely.
In a weary motion, Ghost drove the axe head into the ground. He slumped forward, resting his weight on his hands atop the long, wooden handle.
He is still panting but not like before. He thanked me and told me he would rest for awhile.
I smiled at him and told him that I am proud of him for performing greatly in battle.
His face turned red and he averted his eyes while smiling.
I excused myself and went back to the others.

While I was gone, it turned out that the four of them finally managed to kill the remaining two demons.
They are lying on the ground, panting as I checked each one of them for any signs of wound.
I bandaged Alpha's forehead and arms as it was bleeding a lot. Alpha mumbled a quick thanks before closing his eyes, panting.
I treated Orm's burns on his tail as he used his tail to attack the demons. He smiled at me and closed his eyes as his panting is starting to subside.
Surprisingly, Sly doesn't have any wounds but he looks exhausted. I just made him drink water in which he is extremely grateful.
Lion kept watching me as I treated the others first before him (he doesn't have any wounds too and I'm properly doing triaging!). He began to sulk when I suddenly hugged him and I started to cry.
....
After embracing me and speaking words of comfort to me, Lion nuzzled my neck before passing out from exhaustion.
All of them passed out except me.
Now I better protect them this time.
I marched around them, glancing every now and then, becoming paranoid everytime I hear a bit of sound.
Let them rest first! I prayed to the heavens as I'm promising all sorts of stuff in which I know I will forget to fulfill.
Suddenly, I feel a pain in my chest.
What is this?
It feels like my heart is being removed from my chest.
I bit my hand hard as the pain is getting intense.
I can hear something vibrating in the darkness and somehow had the feeling that the battle is not over yet.
I was about to wake them up when suddenly, an arrow wheezed by my cheek.
Not again.
I can feel blood running down my cheek as I tried to wake up everyone.
They are all knocked out cold.
Ah so it's me again?
Good thing it's just a lone goblin in which I easily killed in a few seconds.
I love my pistol.
....
One by one, they finally woke up and Lion was shocked to see the cut on my cheek.
He insisted that he will treat it but I told him that it doesn't hurt that much and I already cleaned it anyway when they were knocked out.
He kept on pestering me until I finally gave in.
Sigh.
Everyone felt hungry so we ate some of the food that we brought. Everyone except me are all well rested so they are all in high spirits. They began to excitedly talk among themselves about the experience in which I suddenly have a weird thought.
How come creatures from the Netherworld are here?
Now, I don't have any idea where this netherworld is located but the way I understood according to the fantasy books I read about, it belonged to another dimension.
In a sudden realization, I remembered that the witch Subus has powers similar to a succubus in which the succubus comes from the Netherworld.
Something doesn't make any sense here.
It's like two different dimensions suddenly squashed together, combining into a new type of...
Cuss word. (I really should decrease the amount of my cussing!)
I remembered my time way back at the high councils' tower in which they forced my body to copulate with other creatures.
What are they planning?
I'm still missing some parts of the puzzle so I didn't tell Lion my thoughts.

The ground began to shake and everybody got into attack stance.
Lion signaled for us to stay still and we all waited as a gigantic being that is bigger than the demons came into view.
It has large horns on his head, humongous extremities and a long tail in which it kept hitting the wall, making it shake.
Good thing there's no stalactites here or we all die.
But pieces of the ceiling kept falling down so I'm still worried.
It roared and I can see several rows of teeth inside.
Its eyes are scary as it is all black. No, not the iris but the entire eye itself is black. There's no pupil, iris and other parts of the eye that you can typically see in a person.
It tried to hit Sly in which he easily avoided the attack, hitting the monster's tail, making it more furious.
It moved fast, hitting everywhere as we tried to avoid the pieces of ceiling that kept dropping.
Larger pieces of the ceiling starts to fall down and Ghost was almost hit by one when Orm hit the piece of the ceiling instead. They gave each other a quick nod then started to hit the monster.
My stun and fire attacks seemed to be useless so I tried the 3rd attack in which it roared in pain.
I was about to jump in glee when I noticed that I made it angrier instead.
Now there's chaos as it blindly hit everywhere, making the ground shake and more larger pieces of ceilings fell down.
Lion and Sly simultaneously hit the monster's body in which the monster, roaring with pain, gave a huge strike on the ceiling in which the force of the strike made a huge part of the ceiling fall down, striking the ground hard that it began to shake hard.
Like REALLY hard. Like experiencing a very high intensity of earthquake.
Ghost held on to me while he drove his axe to the ground, giving him a sturdy hold.
Suddenly, a chasm tore open behind Lion and he hurriedly ran away from it as it began to get wider.
More and more parts of the ceiling came down and Ghost started to glance around for an exit.
Orm found an exit and he signaled for us to go there while he tried to distract the monster.
As the ground we are standing is a bit stable, Ghost decided to help Orm by attacking the monster.
I decided to shoot the ceiling above the monster, praying that the ceiling might gave way.
It did, hitting the monster hard while giving us time to run towards the exit.
Almost everyone got through when suddenly, the ground gave way and Lion almost fell down into the abyss. He is holding on at the edge as Sly and Alpha tried to pull him up.
Sounds of more monsters seems to be in the exit as we heard some fighting happening as Orm is hitting something with his tail and I caught glimpses of Ghost ferociously hitting some sort of monsters.
Alpha, Lion and Sly went to the exit ahead as we heard Orm yelling for help.
The ground I'm standing on began to shake and to my horror, I saw the big monster trying to grab Lion.
Not today.
I took out my baton and turned it on, then threw it towards the big monster. The monster roared in pain before staggering backward, falling into the abyss.
Lion glanced at me and suddenly, his eyes widened as I can feel the monster's tail wrapped around my leg and dragged me with him.
Wait. Why is this scenario reminded me of a certain fantasy movie?
Also, why is this monster's tail ridiculously long?
I tried to find anything to grip on to no avail as a huge part of the ceiling blocked the exit.
I can hear Lion shouting my name as I fell into the abyss.
