I woke up with an intense pain in my leg.
Nice. It must be broken. I must be lucky today.
Of all the places to have a broken leg. Inside this stupid mountain.
I took off my coat and in my anger, I reached out a rock behind me and tried to freaking destroy this stupid coat, to make a stupid bandage on this stupid leg.
I can barely see anything in the darkness and the air feels humid.
But at least I don't smell anything that reminds me of blood and death.
It turns out I landed on an edge or something. The space is just enough for me to lie down but not move too much or I would continue falling down in the deep abyss.
Ha. I can feel my head starting to hurt. I hope I don't have concussion or something.
It seems that bad luck follows me everywhere in this territory. First it was during when I was bathing. Then the harpies. Also let's not forget about the pervert. But the mountain takes the prize.
The pain inside my chest came back.
Am I having heart attack or something?
I finally finished destroying the coat. It's such a shame since it was a nice coat but survival is more important for now.
It's not cold so it's okay for me not to wear it and also, it is hard for me to move around wearing it.
I touched my head and I feel wetness in which after I smelled, turned out to be blood. Not a good idea if there's monsters around.
Good thing I know about first aid so I made some sort of bandage on my head and wrapped my leg with the remains of the coat.
I tried peeking at the edge and saw an opening just right below me. I decided to go down.
I almost fainted from the pain.
My body feels heavy as I slowly descended and tried reaching the edge of the opening with my foot.
If I slip, this will be the end of me.
With dozens of prayers, I finally managed to go inside the opening.
I panted as I leaned back my head on the wall.
I will try to survive one step at a time.
I'm more worried about Lion and the pack. I hope nobody will die there. I don't care if they use magic or not as long as they survive. I can face the magic stone by myself for all I care.
I'm trying to tolerate the pain as much as possible as I slowly walk with unsteady steps, leaning against the wall as much as possible.
I'm sweating profusely and I'm feeling that my leg starts to swell.
It hurts.
But what can I do? If I stay, I might die without being found. I'll take my chances walking around. If I die then I hope my death will be fast.
....
It seems that I've been walking for a long time since I can't see the opening where I came from. Thankfully, the area where I'm currently in is not dark but has a strange glow from the amount of crystals lining up the walls.
It's beautiful somehow.
I can feel my body temperature starts to rise and my vision starts to become blurry.
I think my leg is infected.
I should hurry even though I don't know where to go.
....
I'm panting more and more as the pain in both my head and leg starting to get intense.
I can barely see and I feel cold.
I suddenly fell to the ground and I just continued laying there.
Lion, I'm hoping you're safe.
I hope Sly, Orm, Ghost and Alpha are safe too.
The pain in my chest starts to hurt again.
I suddenly feel a slight vibration on the ground. I slowly sat up despite the pain and somehow I heard a humming sound. I turned around and saw an opening where there seems to be a light glowing.
I prayed again, hoping that I might be lucky for real to finally found the magic stone.
If not, then I give up.
....
It really is the magic stone. I can't believe it.
Also I can't believe I was so dumb that I didn't realized earlier that the closer I get to the magic stone, the more pain I feel in my chest.
There's a magic circle underneath the magic stone, making it float on the air.
If I touch the magic stone, will it kill me?
Sigh.
I'm hoping it will be a quick death.
So I hesitantly reach out and touched the magic stone.
Instantly, the ground shook and I felt excruciating pain in my chest that I screamed in pain. The pain in my head starts to intensify as I fell on the ground, holding the magic stone.
Somehow, I can hear a voice from the magic stone.
It said all sorts of things I cannot understand. I just stared at it and the voice suddenly became silent.
Then the glow from the magic stone began to fade.
I stared at the magic stone and realized that it won't harm Lion and the pack anymore if they used magic. The magic stone itself isn't the cause that absorbs the magic from the magic users BUT the magic circle that was written underneath it. I don't understand about the writings but I suspect that someone did something to protect the magic stone.
There is definitely something going on.
I slowly got up when my body starts to shake uncontrollably.
Oh.
I'm at my limit.
I decided to walk for a little while until my body cannot tolerate the pain anymore.
I lie down and tried to fix myself. If I die, at least I looked presentable.
I removed my head bandage and I can't recognize the former color of my coat.
My head keeps bleeding now that I removed the bandage.
I held the magic stone with my bloodied hand.
I did it for you, Lion.
I chuckled to myself, remembering when I used to deny my feelings for him.
It seems so long ago.
Long, long ago.
....
I don't know how long was I asleep.
But I was stirred awake by the sounds of footsteps running in my direction.
I slowly opened my eyes and saw Lion running towards me.
I shakily raised my hand holding the magic stone and smiled at him, telling him that I did it for him.
Then all went dark.
