Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: A bunny's trip abroad

Sokovia, border with Ukraine

At the Sokovia border, it was a normal day; many people were trying to smuggle others across, some were trying to cross through legal channels, and others just wanted to enter Sokovia from Ukraine. But all of that was irrelevant to Rumi.

A day had passed since her prison escape, and with a new purpose in life and finally free from the guilt that had been tearing her apart for so long, she felt freer than ever. After her encounter with God, she decided she would take a break from all those problems and Marvel-related issues. For that, she had to go to a country that accepts mutants—a land of dreams and freedom. She wasn't talking about the US; there, if you're a mutant, you have no rights. Who would want to live in a country where they'd be treated like dirt?

So, she decided she would go to Ukraine first, then on to Russia to see if it was a good place to live. After that, she planned to go to Japan. It might sound cliché, but she had Japanese features, and from what she'd seen in comics, there weren't many problems with mutants there. Although she hadn't read many Marvel comics, mostly DC, she thought it was stupid to ask to enter the Marvel universe—but there was nothing she could do now.

Rumi, who had decided to cross the border, knew she couldn't do it legally. All her data and records had been erased by Hydra when she was six years old; she didn't exist. Although she had learned a lot about technology and computer science during her time at Hydra's facilities, she first needed a computer. So she decided to cross the borders illegally into Russia, where she would see if it was a good place to live. If not, she would go directly to Japan.

With no more time to lose, Rumi ran and blended into the night, thinking about her entire day. At that moment, when the Hydra installation exploded, it reached Rumi, stripping her of all her clothes. She blushed and screamed with rage and shame when she realized that the god had observed her naked and said nothing.

After much searching in the remains of the base and making sure that no one survived, she found a briefcase containing a tight leather suit, similar to the one Black Widow wears but more perverted, and just her size, with all the Hydra logos.

"I guess they wanted me to go on a mission," she thought. She had never left the base before, so she was surprised they'd prepared a team for her. But that didn't matter. After removing all the Hydra logos, what was left was a tight, form-fitting leather suit that accentuated her figure. It even had a huge slit to better display her breasts, reaching all the way to her navel, also showing off her toned abs.

She might have been fifteen, but she had developed quickly and looked like one of those classic eighteen-year-old girls from ecchi anime: giant breasts, a huge butt, thick, delicate thighs, and a slim, fat-free stomach. Add to that her tan skin, pure white hair, crimson eyes, fluffy and adorable bunny ears and tail, and her Japanese features. She looked like a real anime girl, and in her leather outfit, she looked like one who only exists for fan service.

"Those Hydra sons of bitches wanted my body for more than just their experiments! I guess they were secret Otakus," she thought. With her tight leather costume that left nothing to the imagination, she realized she would stand out a lot, and that was not even counting her ears and tail, so she decided to go at night.

Rumi saw a barbed wire fence and soldiers guarding the border. They seemed very lazy. She camouflaged herself with the night as best she could, and with a delicate jump, she was on the other side of the border. The soldiers didn't even realize she had crossed, so she ran and quickly disappeared.

The next day, she arrived in a small town nearby. She got there before dawn, at 5 a.m. There was hardly anyone around, so she quickly looked for a clothing store. After a quick ATM robbery and a few minutes of searching, she found a trendy shop open. She went inside, knowing she couldn't choose and didn't know what to buy. She didn't even have underwear.

When she entered, she was greeted by a pretty cashier. She had white skin, gray eyes, and black hair. She looked young, maybe seventeen, not as developed as Rumi.

The cashier, turning to see who had come in so early in the morning, saw lust personified. She wasn't a lesbian, but if it were up to her, she could be. She saw a beautiful young Japanese woman, about nineteen years old, 1.65 meters tall. Her skin was soft, natural cinnamon, healthy and glowing, without blemishes or imperfections. Her hair was white, delicate, straight, and shiny like the moon. Her eyes were crimson like blood. Her ears were fluffy and adorable, long and pointing upwards, along with a cotton-like rabbit tail. She was in the presence of a mutant, but all of that was forgotten when she saw what Rumi was wearing: a thin, tight-fitting leather suit that revealed her perfect figure. Her breasts were the largest she had ever seen, her buttocks like a sweet peach, her thighs thick and toned, and her abdomen slim and fat-free, with defined abs. She even quickly realized that Rumi wasn't wearing underwear because of how tight the suit was. She blushed like never before; she was very nervous.

Rumi, who saw the cashier open her mouth like a fish and change her skin tone from white to crimson in just a few moments, remembered that she had the Hydra suit, blushed, and her ears, always up and proud, lowered, giving her an adorable appearance. The cashier, seeing how Rumi became more adorable than sexual, reacted and recovered quickly; she was there for clothes.

"How can I help you, miss?" said the cashier. She worked part-time at this store but knew a lot about fashion and could help the cute bunny girl.

"I-I'm looking for clothes and r-roo-underwear," Rumi whispered, stuttering and embarrassed by the humiliating outfit she was wearing and why her first normal interaction in nine years was like this.

The cashier, who first saw Rumi as a confident woman, confident in herself and her body, who quickly transformed into a shy and adorable girl, just smiled with joy at the moment she would have to dress this beautiful goddess.

"Of course, I'll help you get your clothes. Come on, let's try on these dresses!" the girl said cheerfully, dragging Rumi to the changing booths.

After an hour, Rumi could be seen wearing a white cotton dress chosen by the cashier. Rumi thought she looked good and felt comfortable in her clothes, although the cashier still wanted to choose more clothes for her but told her she only had enough money for a suit.

Rumi wouldn't deny she felt strange. Despite all these years, she hadn't forgotten that she was originally a man and had wanted a harem. Even with all the military training and experiments at Hydra, she had momentarily forgotten that she was a woman. She only remembered her gender when she saw the outfit Hydra had prepared for her. Although after all this time she felt no attraction to men—in fact, sometimes she felt disgust—perhaps it was because everyone at Hydra's base was a man. But maybe she should try to find a partner, obviously a woman, even if that was for later.

After putting the tight leather outfit in her bag and paying for the dress, she prepared to leave the store.

"Wait, could you tell me your name, please? My name is Katherine, you can call me Kat," shouted the cashier, who saw Rumi ready to leave. She didn't want her to leave without knowing the name of this mysterious bunny girl.

"My name is Rumi Usagiyama. Thank you for helping me, but I have to go. Here's a tip for your help," Rumi said, handing $100 to the cashier for her help and kindness.

"Will I be able to see you again? I know a motel where you can stay," said the desperate cashier. She had become friends with Rumi and didn't want her to leave so quickly. She wanted to know more about her: her tastes, how she came to this town, her story, everything.

"Most likely not, I'll be leaving tonight. You're a good person, Kat. Most people fear me because of my race. Don't let that good heart die," Rumi said affectionately. She had never seen anyone other than her mother and Margot treat her with kindness; everyone, even Hydra soldiers, feared her.

"I can show you the whole town if you want. I know this town and all its surroundings; my shift is ending soon, so I can go with you, please?" Kat said excitedly. She really wanted to have a good time with her new friend. Even though she had heard that mutants were a new species that would eliminate humans, she didn't believe they were as bad as they were made out to be.

Rumi considered the proposal; she still needed to have breakfast and get a computer so she could review the data she stole from Hydra's base and falsify her identity.

"Okay, it would be good if we started with breakfast, and then you'll help me get a computer," Rumi said kindly; she thought this girl was interesting.

"Yes!! Let's go to a cafe a few blocks from here. I know the place; they have all kinds of breakfasts," she said excitedly as she hugged Rumi's arm and led her to the cafe. Rumi just blushed at the contact she had with the girl.

After walking a few blocks, they entered an elegant cafe. It was almost empty at this time of day, and the people inside were amazed to see Rumi. In this small town, most knew each other and had never seen a mutant, so they were surprised to see such a beautiful one today.

Upon entering, they were greeted by a waitress who looked at Rumi with surprise and blushed; she unconsciously straightened her uniform and greeted the customers with a smile.

"Good morning, ladies, what can I offer you?" the waitress asked delicately, looking at Rumi expectantly.

"Good morning, table for two, we would like to have the menu," Katherine said cheerfully. She rarely came here because the prices were expensive, but since it was a special occasion, she could afford it.

"Right away, follow me," the waitress said, leading them to a secluded table in a corner of the restaurant. After a while, she returned with the menu and handed it to them.

"What would you like, Rumi? I'm going to have tea with blueberry tart," Katherine asked curiously.

"I'll have a coffee and carrot cake, please," Rumi said calmly. She had never tasted cake since she was reincarnated. From her childhood in the orphanage and adolescence in the laboratory, no one had given her anything more than the bare minimum. Although she believed she should start eating more, she thought of her One Piece physiology—like Zoro, who became a monster capable of cutting mountains just by eating a lot and training.

Katherine, seeing Rumi a little excited about the cake, smiled at how cute she was, guessing that she liked carrots, being a bunny and all.

The waitress simply noted their orders and bowed as she walked away to the kitchen. After about thirty minutes, she returned with the food and served it before leaving to attend to other tables.

"So, why did you come to this town, if it's not too much trouble?" Katherine asked curiously, since Rumi didn't seem like someone who traveled much.

"I came here to rest a little. I've been traveling to Russia, and I got tired, so I came to this town," Rumi lied. She didn't want Kat involved in the trouble she was in.

"It's good that you're resting. People usually just work and work; they don't enjoy themselves. I hope your trip helps you," Katherine said with wisdom and gentleness. She wasn't naive; she knew that Rumi had stolen the money, just as she knew that Rumi had gone through hell. Her eyes, when she was distracted, became empty and pained, but full of hope. It seemed that she had emerged from her own personal hell. It was good to see that the world couldn't destroy a person as pure as Rumi.

"Let's enjoy breakfast, then we'll go get your computer," she said cheerfully, as the two enjoyed their meal in comfortable silence.

After leaving, they went for a walk around the whole town. Katherine showed Rumi the tourist spots, they took pictures, played video games at an arcade, and bought a computer. It was already night when they were sitting in the town square observing the sky; they had had a good day.

"It's time for me to go," Rumi said with a touch of sadness but above all, determination.

"Can't you stay and live in the village?" Katherine said sadly. She hadn't had a friend in a long time; the girls were envious and jealous of her appearance and usually tried to make her feel bad.

"I can't, they'll come for me, they know I'm here," Rumi said with a resigned tone.

Once she got her computer, she logged into the network of all the spy agencies. They already knew she was in Sokovia. She deleted all the data that could create a connection between her and Katherine—images, videos, audios, everything. But SHILD already knew she was here, and therefore Hydra as well. To them, she was just another beta-level mutant, nothing remarkable apart from her appearance, her birth, and her disappearance. From what she saw, they had already sent some soldiers to look for her traces.

Katherine already suspected that Rumi could be referring to the government. She believed that Rumi came from a laboratory. She felt sorry for how unfair life had been, giving such a cruel fate to a good person, but there was nothing she could do. Katherine took out a small silver necklace with a crescent moon.

"I know we met today, but I will never forget this day. We may never see each other again, but I hope you take care of yourself. There is always hope, Rumi," she said, expressing both joy and sadness at losing a friend she had just made.

"Take care, Kat, don't let your heart die," Rumi said happily and joyfully as she put on the necklace and ran away, thinking that it had been a beautiful day.
