Jun jolted as a newfound power surged back and forth inside him. It was like he was an entirely new person!
He clenched both of his tied fists, finding it surprising the entire different level of strength he could exert now.
"…Grrrk!"
Jun flinched. In the moment of this surprise he had momentarily forgotten about the crisis. Cold rage filled his eyes as he now looked at the three goblin brothers hindering him from escaping this problem.
At first, his respawning ability shocked Jun quite a lot, followed by the nauseous feeling and subsequent puking. But after one or two more deaths he had actually got used to it.
And amidst such a chaotic situation he had no time to think about it further.
Even though Jun was definitely stronger at this moment, he still wasn't strong enough to tear the ropes off with his strength alone. Jun quickly summoned the Blade… followed by a short surprise!
The Blade had become slightly thicker and grown from a length of six inches to seven inches!
Jun looked back with eyes of surprise as the blade took only a minute to cut the ropes in his hands whereas it previously took two minutes!
Jun looked at the cautious goblins as he covertly freed his hands. He had no time to use deceptions. He had to act now and as fast as possible.
Jun roared, a scream that was filled with fury came out of his mouth. The Goblins froze for a moment, but such a moment was long enough for the current Jun to cut his feet free. He then attempted to lunge at the Goblin closest to himself…
Only to find out he had forgotten to control his newfound strength! What took three leaps to cover took only one big jump for the current Jun to cover, coming directly in front of the club wielding goblin.
The Goblin shrieked in surprise, swinging its club wildly whilst carelessly stepping back before eventually falling down. Jun used this moment of weakness, and struck the blade down into the head of the Goblin…
To which the Blade pierced like butter as the life of the Goblin was extinguished!
Jun was surprised not once, not twice, but thrice on his newfound powers. He realised that he had now adequate power to actually match or even dominate against these monsters!
Jun shook his right hand as the dead Goblin slid down and flopped to the ground. The other two Goblins were surprised— they had brought this human back, with as clear as glass that he was just an ordinary person, and now they were suddenly showing feats of power beyond their expectations!
The highest rank Goblin shook in fury mixed with uncertainty. It was confident that it could definitely win against even a lightly armoured ordinary human, but this one in front of him was too frightening and strange!
But before it had any more thoughts, Jun lunged once more, now swiftly passing by the higher level goblin, followed by a bloodcurdling scream and a loud thud against the cave walls.
Jun had just finished his other remaining brother as well!
The Goblin clenched its pointy yellow teeth, grabbing ahold of the Cleave Blade as it faced against Jun.
Jun coldly looked at the Goblin, filled with a sense of fulfillment— he was finally able to stand toe to toe against this frustrating foe of his.
The only remaining hurdle in this crisis before he could escape!
Jun leaped, covering at once a large distance as he pounced upon the slightly muscular Goblin as he struck down his blade.
The Goblin, obviously, ducked and rolled away, leaping in its own accords; swinging the rusty cleave blade, in a manner where it must hit, if not at least graze him!
Jun, as predicted, knew what the Goblin was thinking due to his previous horrible experience against the cleave blade. But he wanted to test something out before fully committing to the fight.
He swung his seven-inch blade in his right hand, and in the next few seconds, the two blades were just going to clash!
Then, in a moment of tension with sparks…
The Cleave Blade flew away, large amounts of pieces missing from its rusty frame!
Out of the sparks came out a white, shimmering small object, directed towards the Goblin. And in the next moment, it had pierced the chest of the monster, producing a large hole in its chest as it dropped to the ground bleeding profusely.
Jun breathed roughly. The current battle took quite a chunk of his stamina, and to kill the two goblins first took the biggest toll on him before the clash against the remaining one.
He was greatly thankful the blade wasn't the one to shatter. Jun summoned the blade once more by commanding in his mind.
But now wasn't the time to delve further. He had to flee right now!
Jun scooped up his hoodie and sweatpants, carrying the rough looking Cup Noodle packets too with a lot of teeth and claw marks.
He looked upwards, at the ceiling of the room he was in. Surprisingly, it was nearly a perfect dome shape, where in the walls were holes of different sizes. Wind flowed out of them as a cacophony of small noise came out of them.
Jun thought they were for ventilation— after all, no matter in what world, a creature made to live above water needed to breath no matter what.
But the distance between his current position and the ventilators was too large. But he nonetheless attempted to try, before which he looked for a big enough hole to fit him inside.
Soon, he found one that was big enough to comfortably fit him— but the problem was, it was much higher up as compared to the smaller ones below it, further increasing the distance between Jun and it.
Jun groaned. But regardless he wanted to try how far his newfound power can make him go. He squatted his legs, preparing for a big leap.
And then— he jumped with a small boom in the ground as miniscule cracks appeared in the ground!
Jun had just covered… only 40% of the distance!
Jun gritted his teeth as he stopped flying, floating for a moment before going down.
Bracing for impact, he fell and rolled down on the ground, dropping his belongings too. He groaned in pain, but predictably it wasn't serious even though he fell from very high.
Standing upright, Jun looked atop, an idea suddenly flashing by his eyes.
He could use the small holes as leverage to climb towards the bigger hole!
Jun quickly picked up his belongings, wore his clothes as fast as possible; sometimes ripping them up a little, before he prepared for another big jump.
"Boom!"
As he propelled himself up, he reached a bit higher than his previous distance, closing on a small hole as he then suddenly grabbed its edge with his hand!
Jun crashed towards the wall, grunting in the impact. But a smile broke out on his face… followed by a frown filled with surprise.
The wind flowing out of the hole was cold! But it wasn't freezing cold, and due to the clothes Jun thought he could endure it.
But his hands which definitely didn't have anything covering them would be harmed!
Jun quickly moved his feet, landing one of them in another hole below him, positioning himself to not climb… but make a jump again!
Jun perched back a little, right before making the second leap. And then, he had reached about 90% of the total distance towards the big hole!
He crept in as he grabbed a hole with his left hand, grunting a bit as he hit the wall. But as he hung, he used his feet to search for a hole to prepare for a final jump… but he couldn't find anything!
Jun panicked, flailing his legs around. He looked around slowly, realising the distance between holes and number of holes decreased the higher one went.
The only thing Jun could use… was narrow dents on the walls! But Jun wasn't a pro climber, so he obviously didn't have any techniques or methods to exploit these narrow dents.
But he had to do it now or he would fail to escape from this nightmare!
He landed both of his feet asymmetrically in two different dents, perching slightly back, preparing for the final jump.
But just as he was going to do the jump, a massive, monstrous roar came out from below as it shook the entire room, chunks of rocks breaking from the walls and falling down into the ground.
Jun looked below, terrified. That was because this roar was too familiar to him.
The King of Goblins!
As the massive figure roared, revealing its monstrous set of teeth and tusks, bellowed with fury as it stomped its gigantic foot to the ground, crushing the corpses of the three goblin brothers.
It suddenly stopped roaring, sniffing loudly as it glanced around one after another.
Jun was shocked. He did not know the King of Goblins could smell him!
Jun looked above, towards the big ventilator hole, perching back with both of his arms inside the hole, and his feet postioned asymmetrically on the dents. He was profusely sweating, his entire clothes were drenched in sweat!
In the next second… he jumped, seeing the big hole finally at eye level. But, he wasn't close enough to it!
Jun broke out into a helpless smile, swinging his body towards the hole, just barely in reach!
As he slowed down in flight, he desperately stretched out his right hand, literally injuring it due to the sheer stress put onto it.
And then… he summoned the blade, barely stabbing it inside the hole, pinning him as he strongly gripped it!
Jun slammed into the wall, producing a hell of a lot of noise.
Down below, on the ground the King of Goblins stopped smelling, snapping his head into one direction above.
Rage filled its eyes, as it roared once more, shaking and cracking the ground just by sheer force.
Jun looked down, giving a cold laugh as he slowly climbed up.
He stood upright inside the windy tunnel of the giant ventilator, covering his arms inside his armpits, the packet of the two cup noodles shaking.
He sprinted fast, so fast it could match with the speed of a world famous sprinter.
And then, a white screen popped in front of him, moving alongside with him.
[You've averted the current crisis.]
