After completing his revenge, John Wick returned to the Continental Hotel. Next, he needed to meet with Winston to obtain a blood oath contract, which he would then deliver to Smith Doyle under the hotel's witness.

As John Wick returned to the hotel and was about to change clothes, he heard Charon's voice behind him.

"Mr. Wick!"

Stopping in his tracks, John turned and walked to the front desk."Charon, what is it?"

Seeing John approach, Charon pulled out a car key."Mr. Wick, the Continental Hotel sincerely apologizes for last night's events. This is the management's way of expressing their regret."

He pushed the key toward John Wick.

John looked at the car key but did not refuse. Instead, he took it and said,"Please arrange a meeting with Winston. I need to speak with him."

After giving instructions to Charon, John turned and left.

Back in his room, Smith changed clothes and went directly to visit Winston.

When John Wick arrived at Winston's office, he said:"Winston, I need a blood oath medallion.""Also, I need you to witness it, under the blood oath."

Winston tapped his fingers on the desk and said,"Jonathan, you really had to come back."

John shook his head."No, this is just a personal gesture of thanks.""Only a Continental blood oath can show sincerity."

Winston looked at John and added,"Jonathan, you're back here, and signing a blood oath. Others won't think you're retiring."

John Wick spoke seriously:"I need the blood oath medallion to show my sincerity."

Hearing John's insistence, Winston said nothing further but smiled."Looks like you owe me one this time.""Let's go—I'll witness your blood oath contract."

John Wick, with Winston, walked to the door of Smith Doyle's room and knocked gently.

As the door opened, Winston realized that John was pledging loyalty to a member of the Assassin Alliance. He wondered if John was helping someone, seeking support, or perhaps doing both.

Smith Doyle looked at the two at the door and asked:"Looks like your personal feud is over?"

John Wick nodded."Yes, it's done."

Hearing this, Smith nodded:"Come in and have a seat, both of you."

John entered the room without delay. He pulled out a blood oath medallion."Smith, thank you for your help this time. You saved my life.""I believe this blood oath contract might be the only thing of value to you.""Once you activate this medallion, I will complete the mission, even at the cost of my life."

Winston spoke next:"This blood oath medallion will be signed under the Continental Hotel's certification.""Anyone who violates the contract after paying the medallion fee will face the hotel's punishment."

Smith Doyle understood Winston's point: if John Wick failed to honor the contract, the Continental would hold him accountable—even to the point of killing him.

Seeing John Wick's blood-stamped handprint on the contract, Smith Doyle collected it."I've received your thanks, and it is sincere."

Fox, standing nearby, asked:"John, have you spoken to Vigo?"

John Wick answered truthfully:"I only had some personal issues with Vigo's son; it didn't affect him. Once he told me the address, I let him go and canceled the bounty."

Fox rolled his eyes. John truly didn't know how to handle the aftermath."Good luck. Hope Vigo doesn't mind you killed his son."

Winston remained silent. John's stubbornness was as apparent as ever."I trust Vigo Tarasov will honor our agreement, but thank you for the reminder."

At that moment, Smith Doyle's phone rang. Seeing that the caller was Cross, he answered."God, we've selected the mission scope for you. Come back and prepare.""Understood. I'll return shortly."

Smith Doyle hung up and said to John Wick and Winston:"I have a few matters to handle. Help yourselves."

"Manager Winston, please inform Charon I'm checking out."

Smith then turned to Fox:"Fox, go home."

After watching Smith Doyle and Fox leave, John Wick prepared to visit his old friend Markus.

Earlier that night, the warning gun in the hotel room had allowed him to eliminate Perkins.

Driving the black Dodge gifted by the Continental's upper management, John arrived at the place where he often met Markus.

"Markus, thank you for saving me at the Continental."

Markus complained:"John, how many times do you want me to save you?""But this time, you seem to have gained a very powerful friend."

A scene flashed through Markus' mind: a man carrying a woman jumped from a ten-meter-high warehouse roof and landed smoothly. This guy must be the world's Captain America. Truly insane, truly fearless.

John Wick thanked him again:"Thank you very much, Markus."

John said nothing about Smith Doyle's personal life.

Markus glanced at him and said:"You look good.""I'm retired. This is my retirement life."

Markus wasn't entirely satisfied with the answer but saw vitality in John, not the despair following his wife's death. He asked:"Retired? You still think that way?""When you appear again at the Continental, everyone will think you've returned.""You say you're retiring, no one will believe it.""The dispute with Vigo—do you think others didn't notice?"

He patted John Wick on the shoulder and added:"Get ready. Your story isn't over yet."

With that, he sighed and left.

The conversation wasn't entirely pleasant.

What neither Markus nor John Wick knew was that their meeting had been fully recorded by one of Vigo's men sitting in a nearby car, who reported back to Vigo Tarasov.

Initially, the subordinate had been sent by Vigo to assign Markus a new mission.
