Looking at the fully armed John Wick, Smith knew he was also here for revenge against Vigo. He glanced at the fallen Vigo and said:"You're late."

John Wick's shocked expression didn't change. Along the way, besides the enemies shot on the first and second floors, the rest had all fallen to melee weapons or sheer hand-to-hand combat. The sheer force was terrifying.

Because John Wick had experience in this line of work, he understood Smith's strength and the sheer terror he could unleash—especially that bullet split in two. He was more convinced than ever that Smith had the capability to guard the Dragon Balls.

"What do you need me to do next?"

Smith thought for a moment, then said:"Continue handling the unfinished business. I'll contact you in two days."

Watching Smith Doyle walk away, John Wick remembered he still needed to locate his beloved car, so he didn't linger.

Shortly after, the Assassin Alliance cleanup team arrived and began their operations.

Assassin Alliance Headquarters

When Smith Doyle pushed open the door to the conference room, the Cross appeared and embraced him."God, you've really given us a huge surprise."

Smith returned the embrace and smiled:"I should have done this."

Cross led Smith to the main seat and said:"From now on, this position will be yours."

Smith didn't offer any excuses and simply sat down.

Seeing Smith take the seat, Cross returned to his own and turned to X, saying:"After 18 years, the Assassin Alliance welcomes a new leader—Smith Doyle.""Let us welcome our God!"

He led the applause.

"Clap, clap, clap."

Once everyone was applauding, Smith Doyle raised his hand, and the room fell silent. He then spoke:"I am deeply grateful for your trust in giving me this leadership position that has been vacant for 18 years."

Having spent 18 years within the Assassin Alliance, Smith Doyle knew the organization inside out. The senior leadership had invested considerable effort in nurturing him. Why he was chosen as leader initially remained somewhat unclear, even to him.

Yet everyone regarded him as a pillar of strength, and his growth over the years had satisfied their expectations.

Smith was also aware of a few things: Sloan's death and the disappearance of the Sacred Loom.

But since everyone had chosen him as leader, he would not disappoint them.

"I will uphold the mission of the Assassin Alliance.""I will lead everyone with determination to eliminate the malignancies threatening this world.""As for our next actions, besides systematically gathering intelligence on individuals posing a societal threat, our focus will be on the High Table hotels and their affiliated Continental Hotels."

Hearing Smith emphasize the importance of the High Table, everyone voiced their agreement.

"No problem. We've always wanted to eradicate such a powerful cancer.""God, what's our next step?"

Seeing unanimous support, Smith Doyle spoke decisively:"Investigate the headquarters of the High Table and the regions under the Twelve Elders.""This time, we will dismantle them completely from top to bottom. And platforms like the Continental Hotels, which serve as bases for assassins, must also be eliminated."

After the meeting, Smith Doyle's appointment as the leader of the Assassin Alliance spread throughout the organization. Everyone now knew the leadership position, vacant for 18 years, had a new master.

Following Smith Doyle's orders, the Assassin Alliance's intelligence division began operations, launching investigations into the High Table and the Continental Hotels.

The Next Day

Strategic Homeland Defense Attack & Logistics Support – Tri-Wing Building

Agent Phil Coulson entered the director's office holding a file."Director, our undercover agent inside the Assassin Alliance has sent back critical intelligence regarding significant changes within the organization. I need to brief you."

Nick Fury took the file from Coulson and began reviewing it.

"After 18 years, the Assassin Alliance has a new leader.""I had assumed that after Sloan's death, since they implemented the Council of Elders, they would not elect a leader again.""Their ambition for high-ranking positions is intriguing."

Fury flipped through the file and asked:"Coulson, you've read the intelligence. What's your take on this?"

Coulson considered for a moment before replying:"This is a good thing. In recent years, the High Table has become too powerful. They need an outsider to weaken them.""Although such organizations are generally irrelevant to us, if they continue to grow, they will affect societal stability.""Furthermore, their elder positions are hereditary, meaning our undercover agents cannot attain high-ranking roles within them."

Fury nodded. S.H.I.E.L.D. would not concern itself with ordinary gangs—that was not their duty. But a high-level organization composed of criminal leaders from around the world was worth monitoring.

As for why they established a governing body, it was clear: gangs cannot be fully eradicated. Even if one gang is eliminated, another will rise. A management structure helps reduce chaos.

Of course, it's also a strategy of controlled oversight. If the problem escalates, they can strike decisively at the right moment.

Seeing Fury nod, Coulson continued:"The assassination methods of the Assassin Alliance are extremely formidable. There's no need to worry about particularly severe consequences.""Who wins or loses, or if both sides suffer losses, we see this as a positive outcome."

Fury agreed with Coulson, then asked:"How much do we know about the new leader of the Assassin Alliance?"

"Is that an issue?"

S.H.I.E.L.D. monitored the Assassin Alliance far more closely than the High Table.

On one hand, the organization has a long history; on the other, they are interested in unique skills—wax bath formulas, bullet-bending techniques, or the Crusaders' bullet-time shooting methods—they've studied them all.

Even during the investigation of the Sacred Loom, it was classified as Item 084. But before they could retrieve it, they learned it had been destroyed.

As for the wax bath, it was indeed extraordinary and rare. Early agents sent to acquire the formula failed due to their low rank, and the samples brought back yielded no useful information. But as technology advanced, they obtained better alternatives, rendering the wax bath less significant.
