Chapter 33: Devouring Lullaby!
The man's eyes were filled with madness. Black aura swirled around the flute, and dark magic surged within it.
The moment he appeared, Ren spotted him.
Ren looked up and glanced at Makarov beside him, noticing that Makarov was also looking up at the sky.
Knowing Makarov had spotted Erigor, Ren stopped worrying and lowered his head to focus on the food in front of him.
Makarov looked down and saw Ren gorging himself beside him, instantly speechless.
He nudged Ren with his elbow and whispered, "Handle it."
Ren looked up blankly, seeing Makarov's serious expression, and said helplessly, "Guild Master, you can handle this little thing yourself."
"You brat! Don't you know how to respect your elders?!"
Makarov was furious and shouted loudly at Ren.
Makarov's sudden shout attracted the attention of the many Guild Masters around them.
Seeing their teasing gazes, Makarov wished he could find a crack in the ground to crawl into.
"Alright, alright. Old men are so troublesome."
Makarov glared, staring at Ren without a word.
Ren clapped his hands helplessly, brushing off the food crumbs.
He stood up and looked at Erigor in the sky, who was waving his scythe and muttering something.
"Bang!"
The ground beneath Ren's feet suddenly exploded, and he shot straight into the sky.
Hearing the explosion by his ear, Erigor's expression changed.
Suddenly, a smiling face appeared right in front of him.
"You!"
Shock flashed in his eyes, and he hurriedly put distance between himself and the man.
"Can you give me that thing in your hand?"
Without answering Erigor's question, Ren looked at him with a smile, pointing at the Lullaby flute in his hand.
Erigor looked wary, staring at Ren gravely.
Appearing in front of him silently and suddenly—this man's strength was far greater than his.
Gritting his teeth, he raised Lullaby, preparing to play.
In the next instant, he suddenly felt as if his chest had been struck heavily, and blood spewed from his mouth.
"If you don't want to give it, just say so. Why attack without a word?"
The smiling face appeared before Erigor again.
Ren grabbed Erigor by the neck with one hand and snatched Lullaby from him.
The moment Ren took Lullaby, black aura surged out from it.
Ren's expression changed, and he threw the Lullaby away.
The black aura erupted, condensing into a massive figure within the smoke.
"Roar!"
The massive figure formed from the black aura let out a roar, looking greedily at the people around.
Seeing this scene, madness appeared in Erigor's dazed eyes, and he burst into wild laughter.
"Hahaha! You'll all die under Zeref's curse!"
"Lullaby! Devour all their souls!"
Erigor laughed maniacally, staring crazily at the gigantic body.
Suddenly, Lullaby turned its gaze, staring straight at Zeus beneath Ren's feet.
"Such a pure soul!"
Its eyes filled with greed, staring fixedly at Zeus.
Ren frowned and smashed a fist onto Erigor's head.
The wild laughter stopped abruptly. Erigor's eyes rolled back, and he fainted immediately.
Throwing him to the ground, Ren sat cross-legged on Zeus, staring straight at Lullaby.
Suddenly, Lullaby's gaze fell on Ren sitting on Zeus, and its eyes narrowed.
The greed in its eyes became even more frenzied.
It could sense an even denser soul power on Ren.
"Offer your soul to me, lowly human!"
Lullaby looked at Ren hungrily, a raspy voice coming from its mouth as it spoke arrogantly.
Hearing Lullaby's words, Ren looked puzzled.
Did he look that weak right now?
Every cat and dog wanted to step on him.
A violent aura erupted from Ren.
Conqueror's Haki activated.
Lullaby instantly felt a violent pressure crushing down on it, as if trying to grind it to dust.
"Air quake!"
Ren stomped hard on Zeus, shooting forward with a boom.
Clenching his fist, a glowing halo appeared around it, and he smashed a heavy punch onto Lullaby's body.
In an instant, the body formed of black aura was nearly dispersed.
Under the terrifying pressure, Lullaby suddenly felt Ren's emotionless pupils staring at it.
The next moment, Lullaby felt as if something was being extracted from its body.
"No!"
It let out a shrill scream as a soul was pulled from the flute on the ground, which was spewing black aura.
Lullaby's massive body vanished like smoke, and a pure white soul was caught in Ren's hand.
"A demon created by Zeref, huh?"
Holding Lullaby's soul, a mocking smile appeared on Ren's lips.
The Lullaby in his hand struggled constantly, trying to escape Ren's grasp.
In the next instant, Ren activated the Soul-Soul Fruit's ability, directly erasing Lullaby's consciousness.
Leaving only a pure soul in Ren's palm.
"Zeus!"
He tossed the soul into the air. Zeus sped over and swallowed the soul in one gulp.
"Thank you, Master!"
With gratitude in his eyes, Zeus felt his soul power surge instantly.
Landing on the ground, Ren crushed the Lullaby flute with one foot.
After everything settled, the sound of a magic vehicle came from the distance.
Looking in the direction of the sound, he saw a four-wheeled magic vehicle speeding over.
Arriving at the scene, Erza, looking a bit pale, jumped out of the car and ran toward Ren.
Seeing Erza's pale face, Ren hurried forward to support her.
With anxiety on her face, Erza quickly asked Ren, "What's the situation? Where's the Guild Master?"
Ren frowned slightly, ignoring Erza's question, and asked instead, "What happened? Where are you hurt?"
