Chapter 11 - The legend of the centuries 1

30 years....

30 years had passed...

A dark-haired man was in a hospital room, watching the author's pencil turn words into objects and people....

He looked at the old lady lying on the bed, connected to machines that were trying to keep her alive for a few hours...

Her immaculate white hair, once golden blonde, was scattered on the cushion.

She was not in pain... She was calm, serene as if she were waiting for death like an old friend.

"Hi sweetie, are you okay?" asked the dark-haired man with a serene but sad smile.

The old woman opened her eyes, she couldn't make out the man next to her.

"X... Is that you?" she asked weakly.

"Yes, it's me..." He said softly, taking his friend's hand.

The woman smiled happily.....

And at that moment, X felt a weight....

The weight of eternity.....

The weight of seeing other characters disappear while he is still there....

"It makes sense for the plot... But you know, author? It's very painful too...." X thought, looking down, gently shaking Togame's hand.

"thank you for everything X, all these years.... You stayed. You are my best friend, my hero" she says with a serene smile.

X says nothing.... A silence hovered as the author's pencil continued this part, this silence was neither heavy nor soothing....

It was silence... Quite simply.

Only the sound of the heart machine.

Biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii....

.....

"Yesterday we lost a great heroine, a strong woman who fought tirelessly for the world. Her memory and legacy will remain engraved in our hearts forever. Rest in peace togame yagi, you were our heroine, our friend and our sister"

Speech delivered by Leona Axis, President of the United Nations.

...

Since the death of togame yagi, a week ago, things had changed....

The UN officially took the place of the League of Nations, striving to ensure global stability.

Unfortunately, new fractures in society were born. The number of people with alters was increasing, and some proselytists wanted to return to the era known as the pre-quirk era.

It is as if Togame's death led humanity to another part of their history....

And X was the witness of this epic... Like a neutral reader who only opens the page of this book...

.....

The city had been immersed in a sad but dreamlike atmosphere for a week...

The city was immersed in a watercolor animation... Each object, each character was as if drawn on a paper. The colors were like liquids and dissolved on top of each other.

Even the sunlight was fragmented by successive washes.

Everything was painted, frozen like a still life. A fresco worthy of a painting by Paul Cézanne.

And in the midst of this change, X was in front of his friend's grave.

"We've been like this for a week," said a male voice as he approached X.

"Hello Toshiro, are you okay?" asked X, turning her head towards him.

"We're going to say that," smiles the young man in his thirties as he looks at the magnificent grave.

"We've been animated like this for a week, don't you want to snap your fingers?" asked Toshiro with amusement.

"You're right, when I don't control my emotions, reality changes on its own without necessarily me snapping my fingers" says X with a cold smile.

He snapped his fingers and reality distorted to return to normal.

A silence settled, a silence that one would consider heavy.

" You miss Mommy , don't you?" asked Toshiro as he approached number 0, pressing his shoulder.

"Yes... A lot," replied X, staring at the grave.

"I can't die, and to see my friends die when I'm eternal, is..."

he did not finish his sentence...

Toshiro smiled sadly at him.

"You know? My twins dream of being great heroes. They tell me all the time that they want to be like their grandmother," he says.

Toshiro did not have a career in heroism like his mother....

"I'm sure they will become great heroes like their grandmother..." X said serenely, playing with his coin.

"Of course... They are the grandchildren of the strongest woman in the world!" smiles Toshiro greatly.

"And you X, you will always be there for us, for the world. That's why you're eternal," said the young man with a bright smile that contrasted with the sadness of this place.

X looked at him for a few seconds and then laughed.

"What did I say funny?!" sulked Toshiro as he nudged X.

"No, nothing. You're right," X smiled softly as he looked at the fictional but beautiful sky.

Togame's death marked the beginning of another major event in the history of my hero academia.

The coming of a period called the great darkness...

A period that marked the rise of the greatest villain in history...

The one who will be called the demon king, the guru of darkness...

All for one...

The century will be marked by great upheavals.... For better or for worse.

To be continued.....
