"By the way, little creature...." X began, rummaging through his pockets.
"What's the matter?" asked Nezu, raising an eyebrow.
"You seem to be looking for something, are you okay?" asked Ikumi innocently.
"Thank you, you're cute to ask but it's okay.. I'm just looking..." X began but ikumi had already gone very far in his thoughts.
"I'm cute!!! X says I'm cute!! X says I'm cute! X says I'm cute!" she cried in a low voice, fidgeting, hearts instead of eyes and her head so hot that you could cook an egg in it.
Nezu watched his ally with a half-amused, half-contemptuous smile.
"Humans and their overflowing emotions..." Nezu thought, shaking his head.
"There you go!" X smiled greatly as he threw a coin to Nezu.
"Here, keep it preciously, I don't give it to just anyone, know that if you need me I will be there thanks to the trust and faith you will have in me. This little coin will connect us," smiles the white-haired hero softly.
"What a priceless gift!" cried Ikumi with boundless admiration.
"It's just a coin, you know?" said X with an amused smile.
"yes but it's a coin of X! And it connects you to Mr. Nezu, it's not a coin like the others!" smiled ikumi enthusiastically.
X laughed at this assumed fangirlism, he was starting to really appreciate this woman.
"Here, here's for you..." he smiled as he handed her a piece of paper with his autograph written on it.
A stylized X...
"Wow!!! Thank you very much, it will be a legacy passed down from generation to generation!! I promise you that I will keep it as a real museum piece!"
She was so happy that she was jumping around.
"I'm counting on you, Ikumi," X smiled warmly, his hands in his pockets.
Nezu looked at the coin with a serene, frank smile that contrasted with his usually cynical and calculating look.
X and he exchanged a look, heavy with meaning.
"Thank you... My friend" smiled softly as he squeezed the coin in his little paw.
X nodded with a soft smile and snapped his fingers. He disappeared immediately in a glitch penciled in light.
"What?! Already gone?!" cried the green-haired woman with an adorable pout.
"He had to watch Breaking Bad, I remind you," Nezu smiled calmly.
"Now that I think about it...." Ikumi began before hugging Nezu and bursting into comical sobs.
"Why did we refuse his invitation!? It was a unique opportunity to see him out of the heroic life and discover his identity!!! I could have gotten closer to him!!" she cried with comical tears that gushed like geysers.
Nezu just laughed, they were really stupid indeed....
.....
X was home in a minute. He rubbed his black hair and put on his pajamas.
"Come on, let's go for the rest!" smiled number 0 as he placed a pile of appetizers on the table and collapsed in his chair.
"I really don't like overtime, but for once it wasn't bad," he smiles, yawning and turning on the TV.
......
Years passed...
Nezu was recognized worldwide as the world's foremost quirk analyst, having received several very honorable distinctions including two Nobel Prizes. His plan to build an academy that would train future heroes went off without a hitch, supported by the UN and many governments made an example of him.
His idea was revolutionary in the field of new education. The profession of hero had become popular everywhere, many young people had ideals and ambitions in this field.
The hero academy allowed young people to pursue their dream in a safe environment where they could train their Quirks.
After five years of construction, Yuei High School was inaugurated as the world's first largest hero academy.
And soon it will also be famous for hosting the future symbol of peace, a revival in global heroism....
But for now.....
.......
Japan, musutafu, Basara Jigen middle school , ten years after the creation of the Yuei Hero Academy.....
A 15-year-old boy with blonde hair and blue eyes was sitting in front of the classroom window...
His classmates were talking to each other, totally ignoring him.
A woman with a blue and red ponytail arrived. Her steps were firm and her aura authoritative...
"Hello little brats... Open your history books to page 51... and I would ask you to come down from your cloud, Yagi!" cried the teacher, glaring at the blond boy with the blue eyes.
Panicked, the blond quickly apologized by standing up and bowing. For a 15-year-old boy, his build was extraordinarily impressive.
He was 1.95m tall and his body was naturally sculpted...
This boy was special, everyone realized that. His impressive physique and presence was strong and striking in addition to having that charismatic aura that great heroes have.
However, this young boy could never have been a hero, because he was quirkless...
"Sorry Mrs. Nekozaki!" cried the boy who called himself Yagi.
Toshinori yagi.....
Mrs. Nekozaki sighed, she liked toshinori even if he was often dissipated and distracted at his class....
She was sure that he would do great things later, even if it was not in the heroic field....
"Okay Yagi, next time, don't be so distracted. Do you now want to read this passage from the book to us?" asked the woman with red and blue hair in a softer tone.
"Uh... Page 15, right?" asked toshinori with a drop of sweat on his head.
The woman looked at him impassively as the class burst out laughing.
"Page 51, Yagi..." Nekozaki sighed.
"Okay!" cried Toshinori with a bright smile.
......
Toshinori yagi was walking down the hallway full of college students. He wasn't a recluse, but he wasn't the popular guy either....
He overheard students talking excitedly about the star of Basara Middle School, a tall, red-haired boy with the fire Quirk.
"Todoroki is going to go to Yuei next year? It's so cool!" one of the boys shouted.
"His Quirk is very powerful, he may be number one in the ranking!" smiled the other.
Toshinori listened to them without flinching, he didn't know this Todoroki, simply because they were in two different sections.
.........
4:30 p.m....
Toshinori was going home, exhausted by this day of classes and all the intellectual fuss....
"The classes are too complicated!" he cried inwardly, striking the air with his fists.
He noticed an old woman in the street who was looking for something under a vending machine. He approached...
"Hello Grandma, can I help you?" asked the blonde-haired boy with a bright smile.
"Oh thank you boy, my coin fell and as I can't see very well anymore, I don't know where I left it" said the old woman in a disappointed tone.
Toshinori began to search, finding the coin nowhere.
"Wait, what do you want to take, Grandma?" asked Toshinori kindly.
"I'd like a can of soda with the X on it" replied the old lady with a serene smile.
"Hey, that's what I wanted too...." a male voice said.
Toshinori held back with all his strength from screaming when he saw this ordinary black-haired salaryman in front of them.
How long had he been there?!
"I've been here for two minutes," the man laughed, playing with his coin between his fingers with impressive dexterity.
He inserted the coin and retrieved two cans, he handed one to the old lady.
"Thank you very much young man" said the old woman kindly.
"No problem, and you little one, you want something? Take what you want," the man said, readjusting his glasses with a warm smile.
"Uh... No thank you. I'm going to take the grandma home, you never know what can happen ," he said with a nervous smile, the presence of this man disturbed him deeply.
"Thank you boy, what's your name?" the old lady asked as she was escorted by the blonde-haired boy.
"My name is Toshinori Yagi, and you?" the boy smiled.
As they walked away, X watched the blonde-haired boy with a sweet smile, slightly clutching his can.
"your descendant looks so much like you Togame, it's incredible..." thought X.
For his part, toshinori turned his head towards the salaryman, he was still there, waving at him.
"This man... Why do I have this strange feeling when I see it?" he wondered, frowning.
It was the first meeting between them and it wasn't going to be the last.....
To be continued...
