Seeing five children flying through the air, casually carrying spherical spacecrafts larger than their entire bodies with them as they flew must've seemed strange, even scary, to the natives of Planet Celatus, but for us Saiyans? Flying through the air carrying objects larger than our own bodies were what we called a 'Tuesday.'
The inhabitants of planet Celatus were basically exactly like humans, except about twice as strong, physically. Their technological level was only slightly higher than Earth's, too.
In fact, the planet honestly felt like a bad copy of Earth. The only real difference was that they knew about their place in the larger universe, and were united under one single government. According to Frieza's notes on said government, the entire civilization was mainly backed by one company. Hyperion Labs.
Finding Hyperion Labs wasn't too difficult. All I had to do was look for the largest concentration of energy signatures on the planet, drop to the ground for a while when the military jets came to attack whatever appeared in its no-fly zone (before Pepper blasted them out of the sky in annoyance), and make our way to the gigantic building with the name 'Hyperion' pasted on its side. Once we got there, we dropped our five spaceships on the lawn while I knocked on the door.
"Hell- Frieza Force." The man who answered the door was tall, with black hair, an aviator's jacket, and a pair of goggles around his neck. The moment that he saw our armor, he scowled in obvious hostility.
"Are you Doctor Hyperion?" I asked.
"I won't help the Frieza Force. Get off of my planet." He immediately replied, trying to shut the door on me, but I stopped it with my foot, causing the metal to bend a bit.
"We're going to kill Frieza." No sane Frieza Force member would say that. Not even a Saiyan, unless they were an idiot, as shown by the shocked expressions on my companion's faces, coupled with the fact that my father would actually try to do so in the future.
Doctor Hyperion looked at me, his brow furrowing, for a few minutes, before finally nodding. "Why should I believe you? And what do you need from me?" He asked reluctantly.
…
Doctor Hyperion was actually a pretty cool guy in his early thirties, with a pregnant wife and a ten year old son who liked to build airguns and test them on us. His name was Zeck, and he didn't get along with Pepper at all. Over the course of our month-long stay at Hyperion Labs, I had to stop her from stuffing seven different toy weapons down his throat.
I made a deal with the Doctor. All I needed from him was a spaceship capable of taking my team from this planet to Namek without being trackable. That, in itself, wasn't difficult. Building the ship itself would only take him about a month. He couldn't put a gravity device into it, like I'd asked, but he'd managed to somehow make a spaceship engine several times faster than our pods by combining the technology in our Attack Balls with his own.
The problem was exactly as I'd expected. Even though I'd managed to deal with the tracker in my scouter by turning the device off, but that hadn't worked for the ships themselves. They still had the full service, tracking, communication, et. cetera.
Frieza knew exactly where they were, right up until Doctor Hyperion dismantled them.
Personally, I wasn't particularly worried about that. Frieza was way too conceited to share that kind of information, especially with my father, who'd be the only one who cared about where I was. And based on the fact that Goku's spacecraft stayed on Earth, completely ignored, yet active, for around twenty years before Piccolo and Gohan found it by accident, Frieza didn't check that data much, either.
But Doctor Hyperion and the natives of Planet Celatus saw it differently, and they had every right to. Essentially, we'd roped their entire planet into our little act of rebellion, and that could spell disaster for them.
But we'd also given them a pretty big gift, and they couldn't simply ignore it. Our space technology, and the individual powers of five Saiyans. Even if we were just children, I had a power level coming close to 2,000 without using my ape form, which I intended to master during our month on planet Celatus, since they had a full (enough) moon every week.
So, we came up with a deal. All we needed to do was make sure that their civilization would survive, if the worst came to pass. In other words, Hyperion wanted our group to take a gang of Celatus settlers and bring them to safety.
I was just going to take them to Namek and leave them for Guru to deal with.
