Chapter 13 - Ch. 13: Dodoria Arrives!

"That won't save you, Prince Tarble!" Captain Ricot shouted, pressing the button on his scouter to locate me again.

Unfortunately for him, I'd already pushed my energy all the way down to zero, and was hiding in the bushes nearby. If they really worked a bit, I was sure that the captain would've been right. Even without sensing me, so long as I hid nearby, I knew that Captain Ricot would eventually find me, but I couldn't take the risk of running too far away, in case things didn't go according to plan.

I was simply planning on banking on the fact that they wouldn't have time to look for me.

Mainly because- "Captain! Look!"

I'd been off from Dodoria's landing spot, but not so far off that Ricot's squad couldn't see the Attack Ball pierce the atmosphere.

"Did King Vegeta send another squad without telling us?"

"No… Whoever that is… Must have been sent by Lord Frieza!" I smiled as Captain Ricot realized the truth, knowing that, now that he knew the truth, Frieza was probably going to cut off his team's scouters' communication functions in order to ensure that my father wasn't tipped off to the fact that he was secretly culling some of our Saiyans.

The squad was officially off the grid.

"Sir Dodor-AAH!" Captain Ricot immediately recognized Dodoria, and attempted a subservient pose the moment that he saw him.

Unfortunately for him, Dodoria was on a culling mission. By the time Ricot had finished his greeting, there was a hole in his gut from Dodoria's cannonball-like figure. He fell to the ground, dead in an instant.

"Wh-!"

"I LOVE KILLING MONKEYS! RAAAH!" An energy wave from Dodoria's maw, another Saiyan dead.

"HOW DARE YOU!" With a scream of rage, one of the remaining Saiyans fired a barrage of energy blasts at Dodoria, who tanked them all, not even bothering to move.

When the smoke cleared, Dodoria hovered there without a scratch on him. The Saiyan who'd attacked him stared on in horror, having not held anything back.

"You Saiyans are all the same. So strong-willed… Until I break it!" I winced as Dodoria kicked the attacker in half with a single swipe of his foot before generating two energy blasts that obliterated two more Saiyans in an instant, leaving only two left from Ricot's squad. It'd only been a few minutes, yet five elite-class Saiyans with power levels far above mine had already been slaughtered, leaving two of the weaker ones. The sheer brutality of it all, even though I knew that these Saiyans were horrible, genocidal murderers with zero remorse and even less in the way of inhibitions, still made part of me want to throw up.

The last two out of Ricot's squadrons clearly felt the same way. In an act that was even less Saiyan than my desire to throw up, they screamed and began running into the forest, luckily opposite where I was hiding.

"RRAAAAAAAHHHHHH!" I couldn't help but smirk to myself, allowing my ki to flow as I used Dodoria's massive explosion of energy to mask my own ki.

When the light settled, Dodoria was simply hovering there, above a massive chasm that his explosion had formed where the forest had once been.

The two Saiyans had been wiped clean off the face of Celatus.

But, unfortunately, things weren't over quite yet. After all, now that it wasn't being flooded with his own energy signature, and I'd stopped suppressing mine, nothing was stopping Dodoria's scouter from lighting up with my own power signature. He paused for a moment to take in the fruits of his outburst of overwhelming power before turning my way with a bloodthirsty grin on his face.

"Come out, come out, whoever you are! I'm more than strong enough to blow up this entire forest with you in it!" Dodoria shouted.

I responded the only way that I could.

"Explode and combine!" I released my Power Ball.

Power Ball was a technique that I'd heard rumors about around the castle, but it was similar to Galick Gun in the fact that nobody considered me good enough to actually teach it to me.

But I knew the basics of the technique, and with ki, that was a little under half of the battle. Basically, it mimicked the moon, adding Blutz Waves to the sun's rays as it reflected them.

In other words, the moon generated the Blutz Waves, but it required piggybacking off of the sun's reflected light in order to actually get to the Earth.

But the moon was only really just a satellite. A gigantic rock that circled around the sun.

So, maybe it was something about the sunlight bouncing off a piece of matter in space.

It didn't work on matter closer to the planet's surface, which meant that either it was about size, or the vacuum.

After a bit of experimenting, I figured out that it was the size. Or, more accurately, the Blutz Wave energy that the moon was generating. I wasn't entirely sure why, but it was only when I made the ki energize some sort of natural energy that the Power Ball triggered my Oozaru transformation. It didn't even need the sun's light to piggyback off of, so long as I didn't throw it too high.
