Chapter 14 - Camping

The rest of the morning and early afternoon goes exactly how we planned. We watched my favorite werewolf movie Teen Wolf, despite the twins mockery of it I know they enjoy it just as much as I do. Then we played Cards Against Supernatural and it was probably one of the funniest rounds we ever had. After that I went upstairs to finish packing while the twins stayed downstairs with my parents. I had a feeling my dad was going to give them "the talk" warning them not to fool around with me, that he's trusting them and all that jazz but I know he's wasting his breath because they will never see me as more than their best friend, their buddy, their bro, whatever you want to call it.

After I finish packing what I need for camping, I bring my bag down and place it by the front door. Once I walk back into the living room my parents and the twins start singing 'Happy Birthday' while my mom walks in with a chocolate cake with buttercream frosting, my favorite. Once they finish I blow out the candles making my wish then mom goes to cut us all some slices. Once we are all served I am handed my gifts one by one.

My first gift from my parents is the finished collection of Supernatural. Since they officially finished at 15 seasons and I started collecting the series dvds shortly after I discovered the awesomeness of the show they knew how excited I would be to have my collection complete. The next gift, my mom got me, it was a very old journal about our family's history, apparently it was passed down from generation to generation on the persons 16th birthday and each new generation added their own story to it. I was extremely touched to be given the honor and honesty couldn't wait to read it. Mom said that she found it best to read from the perspective of the person who handed it down and go backwards from there so that's what I plan to do. My dad's gift to me was a new car, a Jeep Wrangler, all black with pink accents, but I can't actually drive it until I pass my drivers test, I was still super excited about it though, it's my dream car, perfect for the summer and the winter. The twins got my this beautiful woven bracelet, that has matching parts for them as well, each with a sun, a moon and a star, with each bracelet having one of the symbols larger than the other two. There was also inscriptions with it that read:

Like the SUN, you brighten my days and warm my life.

Like the MOON, you light my path in the darkest hours.

Like the STAR, your twinkle gives me hope.

No matter where we go,

No matter what we do,

You'll always be there for me,

And I'll always be there for you.

Thank you for being our best friend, may these bracelets be a constant reminder for the love we have for one another. We love you forever. Asher and Alexander.

After I read the inscriptions I threw myself into their arms and cried, thanking them for the beautiful gift. Shortly after we said our goodbyes to my parents and pilled into the twins truck and headed to the North Mountains.

Alex's POV

The drive to the mountains was fairly quick, now we are hiking to the campsite where we first met our girl, not that she knows that, Ash is in the front and I am in the rear making Ellie take the middle. We are excited to spend this quality time with her because once summer is over it's going to be much harder to do so. Not only are we going to be busier due to it being our senior year, we will be busier because we will have to prepare for Alpha school.

'Hey Alex, how's the view from down there' Ash teases through the mindlink.

'Better than yours' I said looking up and seeing Ellie's shiny leggings shaping her tight ass perfectly, every step making the material grip and stretch perfectly around her cheeks making me wish I could just grab hold myself.

'Haha, you're probably right, want to switch, I think it's my turn to enjoy the view.'

'Nope,' I respond popping the 'p' 'I am perfectly fine where I am.

Just then he stops in his tracks causing Ellie, who looked down to make sure she she was placing her feet into a good position, bumped into his back almost stumbling backwards before Ash grabbed her.

'Idiot' I scold him.

"Sorry Angel, didn't mean to cause you to stumble." Ash says. He's lucky we are wolves and have good reflexes otherwise I'd kick his ass.

"It's fine, why'd you stop?" Ellie asks.

"Just wanted to see if Alex wanted to swap spots, I know he's faster at hiking than you and figured he may want a break at being the caboose for a bit." He answers grinning at me. Asshole.

"Oh, sorry," Ellie says bashfully "I don't mean to slow you down."

"Sweetheart, it's fine, I don't mind slowing down every once in a while. It helps me to remember to enjoy the things around me." I assure her then turn to my brother. "I'm good here you can continue being the lead."

"I insist, I need to learn to slow down and enjoy the little things too." He smirks at me.

"You two are so weird sometimes." Ellie says. "Fine if you both want to 'slow down' I will walk ahead first, problem solved BEFORE you start bickering like an old married couple." She then turns and starts hiking again.

'Problem solved now we both get a view.' Ash snickers through the link and I roll my eyes at him, but smirk because I don't get to lose the amazing view either.

About 30 minutes later we finally get to the camp site and start setting up. Ash and I brought a large tent for all of us to share but decided instead of bringing three air mattresses and three sleeping bags we brought one king size mattress and one sleeping bag we can share. We use to share a bed with Ellie when we were younger so we figured she wouldn't mind, after all what's a little tent camping if you aren't sharing a space.

Ellie takes a look inside the tent and states "There's one bed."

"Yeah sweetheart, it was less to pack and figured we can all share a bed for a few nights, not like we never have before." She blushes at my words then just nods her head.

"Alright, I'm going to go get some firewood so we can start a fire." Ash declares, "Angel want to get some kindling? Alex can clear the area for the camp fire."

"Sounds good."

"Sure."

We say at the same time then all three of us go do our respective tasks preparing for our first night camping.
