Ellie's POV
It's officially summer break and I couldn't be more excited. The twins and I have made a ton of plans for how we are going to spend it. My birthday is three weeks away and all I want is to go camping and hike in the North Mountains. Mom wants me to have a Sweet 16 but I told her I rather not spend my 16th birthday in a dress around people I barely know or around anyone that will pretend to be my friend just to get a chance to be around the twins. She reluctantly agreed saying that it will just give her an excuse to talk to Mari about their traditions for the 18th birthday and that since I refuse to do one now I will have to do one then. It's two years away so I don't really care, hopefully I can convince her to make it a graduation party as well since it will be the same year and then I can kill two birds with one stone.
As I think about this, I head to the sanctuary. Minus my birthday week, I get to work the education center during the summer. It's one of my favorite parts. Because I am going to be 16 this year Mom and Dad are also letting me run one of the day camps. I'm choosing the 10-12 year old group because that age group actually gets to see the wolf dogs up close and personal and I know I can enlist the help of my favorite two wolfy pals Sam and Dean. All the summer camp groups are fun but the younger groups focus more on crafts and learning about the environment and animals inside the learning center where as the 10-12 year olds we bring out to watch and observe the animals in nature then at the end of two week day camp learning we do one overnight stay. Essentially every two weeks during the summer we get a new group, some kids do the whole summer but most enjoy the two weeks and do other day camps around town. The only groups that are actually all summer long are the late teen to young adult groups. My parents or Mari run those groups because they are more or less to see if they can have potentially new employees. Almost equivalent to an internship in the business world.
"Hey Sam, Hey Dean, are you ready to help me with my summer camps this year?" I ask my boys after finding them waiting for me.
I scratch behind their ears and I swear it always sounds like they purr when I do this. The crazier part is since the twins birthday I now feel that spark sensation when I pet my boys too. I don't know what it is and I thought it was just something weird with me but it doesn't happen with anyone else. Only when I touch Alex and Ash or Sam and Dean which makes the whole thing weirder but maybe it's just because we have always had a strong connection and friendship. Honestly who knows.
The boys start bouncing around and pouncing on each other making me laugh, it reminds me of when we first found them, except now they are huge wolf dogs, bigger than any I have ever seen before, and not puppies anymore.
"I guess that means yes?" I ask rhetorically and then Sam jumps on me, knocking me to the ground and giving me a huge wolfy kiss.
Laughing hard and trying to push him off while turning my face from his love attack. I screech, "Eww," giggle, "Sam, stop it," giggle, "that's gross," giggle, "Nooo!" Dean bounds over and starts joining his brother in his puppy kiss attack, making me laugh so hard I can't breathe. Eventually they stop their assault and get off me but not before placing their heads on my lap, just enough contact for me to sit up but not enough to run away.
I spend the rest of my shift at the sanctuary preparing for the summer camps, since they start tomorrow. Sam and Dean followed me around while I prepared the outdoor tasks for the campers. I can't wait for the kids to see what I have prepared. It's going to be a great break.
Three Weeks Later
"You are so beautiful Angel." Kiss.
"You are the sexiest thing we have ever laid eyes on Sweetheart." Kiss.
"Goddess we have waited for this moment for so long." Asher says as he starts unbuttoning his shirt and pants. I lick my lips watching, waiting, anticipating at what's to come.
"We promise to take care of you baby. You're ours." Alex says as he pulls my dress over my head and starts kissing down my neck from behind. I let out a soft moan causing him to smile against my skin.
"Forever Angel. Ours." Ash saunters closer, closing the gap between us. He kneels in front of me puts my leg over his shoulder…
My door slams open "HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY GIRL!" Mom and Dad shout. I jolt awake, ugg, just as I was getting to the good part. I yawn and stretch and look at my parents like they are crazy.
"Morning," I mumble. "You couldn't let me sleep in? It's my birthday after all."
My parents chuckle.
"And miss the sunshine and warmth that your beautiful face brings when we wake you up?" Dad starts, "Not a chance!"
I throw a pillow at him and he just grabs it mid air and laughs. "See, exactly what I mean, sunshine and warmth."
"Ugggg!" I let out while I slump back in my bed, wishing they could leave me sleep so I can get back to that weird but wonderful dream.
"Sweetie, we made your favorite breakfast and the twins will be here any moment." Mom says and I sit back up quickly.
"Really?"
"Of course! They agreed to letting us have the morning with you before they sweep you away to go camping, unfortunately they didn't agree that we could have you to ourselves." She giggles. "Those boys are quite smitten with you, can't even let you enjoy your birthday with your parents.
"No they are not and who even says smitten anymore." I roll my eyes as I reply to her craziness. "They are just my best friends Mom, they don't see me like anything more." Though I wish they did, we could make my dreams a reality if they did, I think to myself.
"Oh little wolf you have no idea." Dad says in response but I ignore him. My parents are crazy, I also think they are just wishful thinking at this point.
My parents come give me a kiss to each side of my temples and tell me they will meet me downstairs for breakfast. I roll out of bed and get ready for the day. Since I know the twins and I will be leaving this afternoon to go camping for the next few days, I put on my favorite shiny leggings, they look black until you get in the sunlight then they look like a glittery pink, blue and purple rainbow, a black sports bra and a hot pink off the shoulder sweatshirt, that I can take off and tie around my waist if it gets too hot and long pink socks to wear with my hiking boots.
Once I'm dressed I head downstairs to find my parents and the twins at the table chatting it up and laughing about something.
"What's so funny?"
"Hey Angel, your dad was just telling us how you were very much sunshine and rainbows when they woke you up this morning." Ash says and I playfully glare at my dad.
"I see what you mean." Ash chuckles.
"Har, har, so what's the plan?" I ask to no one in particular.
"Well sweetie, we thought it would be good to watch a movie, maybe play a game or two, then you can finish packing, if you haven't already, and while you do that Dad and I will get your gifts ready, then we can do cake and presents once you are done and then you and the boys can head out. How's that sound?"
"Great actually!"
