Chapter 3 - chapter-3 the secret bet

*Chapter 3: The Secret Bet*

As Vihaan and I started rehearsing the lifts, I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off. Vihaan seemed more attentive and charming than usual, and I found myself getting lost in his eyes.

But little did I know, Vihaan had a secret plan. After rehearsal, he met up with his friends in a quiet café.

"Alright, guys, I've got a challenge for you," Vihaan said, grinning mischievously. "I'm going to make Janvi fall in love with me, and then break her heart."

His friends looked at him in awe. "You're crazy, Vihaan. She's not even your type."

Vihaan shrugged. "I know, but that's what makes it interesting. I've got a week to make her fall for me. If I succeed, I'll get a brand new sports car."

His friends high-fived him, and they all shook hands on the bet.

Meanwhile, I had no idea what was going on. I was just happy to be learning new dance moves and getting closer to Vihaan, despite our initial animosity.

As the days went by, Vihaan's behavior towards me became more and more affectionate. He would touch my arm or shoulder while we were rehearsing, and he would look at me with an intensity that made my heart skip a beat.

I couldn't help but feel drawn to him, and I started to wonder if maybe, just maybe, I was developing feelings for him.

But Vihaan's smile was hiding a secret, and I had no idea what was coming my way.Let's continue with the story.

As we continued to rehearse, Vihaan and I grew closer, and our banter became more playful. We started teasing each other, and it was clear that we were developing a strong friendship.

One day, as we were rehearsing a particularly difficult move, Vihaan grabbed my hand and spun me around. I landed in his arms, and we both froze, our faces inches apart.

"You're getting better," Vihaan said, his voice low and husky.

I smiled, feeling a flutter in my chest. "Thanks to you, coach."

Vihaan grinned and released me. "Anytime, Janvi. Now let's try that move again."

As we finished up our rehearsal, Vihaan turned to me and said, "Hey, I want to invite you, Raj, and Priya over to my house for our last rehearsal before the competition. My house has a great dance floor, and we can practice without worrying about anyone watching us."

I raised an eyebrow, surprised by the invitation. "Your house? You mean, like, your parents' house?"

Vihaan chuckled. "No, my house. I own a place nearby. It's perfect for rehearsals."

I nodded, intrigued. "Okay, sure. I'll ask Raj and Priya if they're free."

When we arrived at Vihaan's house, I was shocked. It was a massive mansion, with sprawling gardens and a huge dance floor. I stared, my mouth agape.

"Vihaan, this is...wow," I said, trying to find words.

Vihaan grinned, looking pleased with himself. "Yeah, I guess I didn't mention that I'm loaded, huh?"

I shook my head, laughing. "Nope, you didn't."

Raj and Priya arrived soon after, and we spent the afternoon rehearsing and laughing together. Vihaan's house was the perfect place to let loose and have fun.

As we took a break and sat down on the couch, I couldn't help but notice the expensive artwork and decorations. "Vihaan, your house is amazing. You must have a great decorator."

Vihaan smiled, looking proud. "Actually, I designed most of it myself. I like to think I'm a bit of an interior designer."

I raised an eyebrow. "Really? You're full of surprises, Vihaan."

Vihaan chuckled. "I guess I am."

As the afternoon drew to a close, Vihaan walked us out. "Thanks for coming, guys. I'm really glad we could rehearse here."

As we said our goodbyes, I turned to Vihaan and said, "You know, Vihaan, I never would have pegged you as a rich kid."

Vihaan grinned. "I like to keep people guessing."

I smiled, feeling a sense of admiration for Vihaan's humility. Despite his wealth and privilege, he was still down-to-earth and fun to be around.

But as I looked around his house, I couldn't help but wonder what other secrets Vihaan was hiding. Little did I know, I was about to find out.Let's continue with the story.

As we left Vihaan's mansion, I couldn't help but feel a little awestruck. I'd had no idea that Vihaan came from such a wealthy background. Raj and Priya seemed just as surprised as I was.

"Wow, Vihaan's loaded," Raj said, whistling. "I had no idea."

Priya nodded. "Me neither. He's always so down-to-earth, I forgot that he's rich."

I smiled, thinking about Vihaan's humility. "Yeah, he's not what you'd expect from someone with his background."

As we walked home, I couldn't help but wonder more about Vihaan's past. What was his family like? How did he make his money? And what other secrets was he hiding?

When we got back to my house, my mom asked me about our rehearsal. I told her all about Vihaan's mansion and how surprised I was by his wealth.

My mom smiled. "You never know what people are hiding behind closed doors, beta. Just be careful around him, okay?"

I nodded, feeling a little uneasy. What did my mom know that I didn't?
