Chapter 127 - Chapter 129 Demon King's Power and Ultimate Enhancement

  "It doesn't seem impossible."

Aoki tapped the table, a thoughtful expression on his face.

His gains from devouring Muzan Kibutsuji weren't limited to what was displayed on the system panel.

  There were many unstated benefits.

Aoki studied it for a while and discovered that while his power hadn't directly increased, all his abilities had undergone a transformation.

Simply put, he had gone from an ordinary demon to a Demon King.

"King of the Other Demons" wasn't just a random name; it was a true Demon King.

He possessed almost all of Muzan Kibutsuji's abilities, and even surpassed them.

First, his regenerative abilities increased dramatically, officially reaching and even exceeding Muzan Kibutsuji's level.

Second, his stamina was almost inexhaustible; unless special methods were used, he could regenerate virtually infinitely.

Muzan Kibutsuji was only able to be injured by Tanjiro and the Pillars' attacks because Yoriichi's Crimson Blade and sunlight, weakened by numerous poisons.

However, Aoki had already overcome the sun, making him even more unsolvable than Muzan Kibutsuji.

The damage inflicted on demons by Nichirin Blades and Crimson Blades essentially comes from sunlight.

Having overcome sunlight, he has no weaknesses. All known forces in this world cannot cause him any fundamental harm, only deplete his stamina, which is virtually limitless.

Even if Yoriichi Tsugikuni were reborn, he might not be able to cut him now.

  Thirdly, his body control.

His limbs and torso can change at will, and he possesses numerous whips.

However, unlike Muzan Kibutsuji, he doesn't have as many tube whips, but he has an additional bone whip, formed by extending from his spine and bursting forth from his body, with a gleaming bone blade at its end.

He's somewhat similar to Tanjiro in his demon king form.

Whips seem to be a standard accessory for demon kings.

Aoki's attack methods will become richer and more diverse.

However, this will require adjustments to his fighting style.

Leaving aside the tube whips, the bone whip is definitely worth developing.

However, this is more difficult than creating the Aoki style.

Although his strength is vastly different from ordinary humans, their physiques are the same, and their attack methods and logic are similar, offering much to draw upon.

But the bone whip—he's never used it before, and can't even find a reference.

He'll have to research and figure it out himself.

His "martial arts" talent isn't quite right for him either.

Integrating it into his own fighting system will likely require a great deal of effort.

  But thankfully,

time is the one thing he has plenty of now.

Fourth, the ability to mimic—he can simulate any human, regardless of physique, appearance, or gender. After the transformation, even his scent changes, which is incredibly powerful.

Not only his body, but even his clothes can change.

Fifth, the ability to split and escape—Muzan Kibutsuji's reliance for escape.

However, this ability was useless against Aoki.

He possessed "spatial teleportation," making his escape ability far superior to splitting his body.

Sixth, and most importantly, Aoki could now create demons using his own blood.

"If the Demon Slayer Corps knew this, I wonder if they'd regret cooperating with me,"

  Aoki muttered to himself.

  Of course.

He wouldn't create demons in large numbers like Muzan Kibutsuji, letting them devour humans.

In fact, he wouldn't use this ability in most situations.

  The reason was simple.

His ability to overcome the urge to eat people was entirely due to the system's power; the demons he created would be no different from those created by Muzan Kibutsuji, and they would also live by eating humans.

He couldn't possibly do such a thing.

  However,

possessing this ability does bring two advantages.

First, he doesn't have to worry about starving to death.

He can only eat demons, but there are no demons left in the world. He can't very well devour Tamayo and Yushiro, can he?

Now he doesn't have to worry about that.

At worst, he can find some damned guy, transform into a demon, and then eat him.

This is fundamentally different from cannibalism.

Although it's still a bit disgusting, he's not one to be inflexible when it comes to survival.

However, Aoki isn't actually that worried about this issue.

Muzan Kibutsuji has aged for nearly ten thousand years and only feels weaker.

Now, compared to Muzan Kibutsuji, he is stronger in every aspect, and theoretically, he can last even longer.

In other words, he can go at least tens of thousands of years without eating.

Ten thousand years later, he might have already cracked the secret of demons, no longer needing to eat humans or demons, and can eat normally again.

The most important use of the ability to create demons right now is that it gives him the possibility of further upgrades.

He can create demons himself and then kill them himself.

However, Aoki also has some lingering concerns.

When he was level 18, very few demons could provide him with more than 5 experience points.

Now he's level 20, and his class has advanced to "King of the Otherworld." How many demons can he possibly provide him with experience?

Does he have to train Upper Moon demons?

Not only are demons with the talent to reach Upper Moon level incredibly rare, but demons grow by eating people!

If he did that, he'd be another Muzan Kibutsuji.

The destruction he caused would be even more terrifying than Muzan's.

Aoki shook his head secretly and looked at the system panel again.

"The Path to the Demon King" had another reward:

choose any skill for ultimate enhancement.

He studied it for a while and quickly figured it out.

The skills that could be enhanced to the limit were "Demon Blood," four in total, excluding "Soul Impact."

The effect of ultimate enhancement was roughly to raise a skill that had already reached its limit by another level.

All four skills were very promising.

"Demon Blood," needless to say, was the core of the "Otherworld" class; with each level up, all attributes would increase by one point, strengthening every aspect of the demon.

Now, he had not only overcome sunlight but had also become the Demon King. What would he become with further ultimate enhancement?

Aoki had a feeling that choosing "Demon Blood" would bring him the biggest changes.

"Demon Devouring" was the embodiment of the "different" in "Otherworldly Demons." The first upgrade increased attribute points, the second increased skill points, and what would the next upgrade bring?

The ultimate enhancements of "Spatial Travel" and "Transparent World" were equally anticipated.

Looking at the system panel, Aoki hesitated to make a decision.

This time was different from before; it wasn't about choosing the order of upgrades.

The ultimate reward for the final mission

  was likely a unique reward.

Even if he obtained another ultimate mission, that would be for other professions. He

only had one chance to enhance four skills to their ultimate potential.

  He had to choose carefully!

After much deliberation, Aoki decided to postpone this choice for now.

He didn't have any needs right now.

  All the enemies were dead.

His combat power was already unmatched.

He didn't need to rush into a choice; he had plenty of time to think.
