"Take care!"
"See you later."
"Hahaha, I'm definitely going to have a long sleep when I get back."
The group parted ways and left, leaving only Aoki, Kanroji Mitsuri, Tamayo, and the Kochō Sisters.
Although Aoki had brought them over, he wasn't there to see them off.
The five strolled under the moonlight, the atmosphere quite pleasant.
Kanae Kochō exclaimed, "I still feel like I'm dreaming. Muzan Kibutsuji died so easily."
"Not easily,"
Aoki shook his head.
In terms of health, Muzan Kibutsuji was definitely the most resilient Demon he had ever killed.
Although there wasn't much danger, fighting him was still quite strenuous.
Moreover, they had started preparing to kill Muzan Kibutsuji long ago, including making poison, devising a plan, and so on.
Tamayo said, "The aging medicine was completely useless, and the cell-damaging poison wasn't very effective either. Fortunately, Aomura Kazuhiko's strength is sufficient."
"The aging poison did have some effect, otherwise, Muzan Kibutsuji wouldn't have collapsed so quickly," Aoki said.
His battle with Muzan Kibutsuji lasted about 20 minutes, meaning Muzan aged approximately 2000 years in total.
This lifespan might not have meant much to Muzan at his peak.
However, after being severely weakened by Devouring Demons, 2000 years was fatal.
Kanroji Mitsuri didn't participate in the discussion of credit, walking briskly ahead, when she suddenly turned around.
"Muzan Kibutsuji is dead, so does that mean if we kill all the Demons in the world now, there won't be any more Demons?"
Aoki shook his head: "With Muzan Kibutsuji dead, all the Demons under his control will die. Now, only me, Ms. Tamayo, and Yushiro remain as Demons in this world."
Kanroji Mitsuri blinked, "Oh, that's great!"
Everyone else remained calm, clearly already aware of the news.
Aoki stopped, "Let's go straight back to the Butterfly Mansion!"
No one objected; they paired off and grabbed his arms.
Suddenly, the world changed.
Kanzaki Aoi, Kanao, and three little girls sat silently in the room, their expressions tense.
Creak.
The door opened.
The five rushed out without hesitation, immediately seeing a man and four women in the courtyard.
Kanae Kochō smiled gently, "Aoi, Kanao, we've defeated Muzan Kibutsuji!"
Kanao looked somewhat bewildered, Kanzaki Aoi was brimming with excitement, and the other three little girls cheered loudly.
Although it was late, everyone was still very excited. They moved a table to the courtyard, grabbed some pastries and snacks, and ate and chatted.
They didn't disperse until late into the night.
Aoki returned to his room, and with a thought, opened the system.
I hadn't had a chance to check before, but now I can properly examine my spoils.
The familiar azure screen appeared in my field of vision.
[Name: Aoki]
[Strength: 26] [Constitution: 25] [Intelligence: 25] [Agility: 25]
[Occupation: Hunter, King of the White Walkers, Martial Artist]
[Free Attribute Points: 10]
...
[King of the White Walkers]
Quality: ★★☆
Level: lv20 (0/2000)
Skills: Demon Blood VI, Spatial Traverse II, Transparent World II, Devouring Demons II, Soul Impact (Not yet learned)
Aoki first looked at the job title.
Sure enough.
"White Walkers" had become "King of White Walkers," and its quality had increased from two stars to two and a half stars. He
could now continue to improve from his already peak level.
After killing Kokushibo and reaching level 20, the experience was overflowing; killing Muzan Kibutsuji should have yielded a large amount of experience as well.
However, none of this experience had been inherited.
Everything had to start anew.
Aoki's gaze returned to the top, and his spirits lifted instantly, the frustration of not inheriting the experience vanishing.
A full 10 free attribute points!
A level 20 two-and-a-half-star job had exactly 10 more free attribute points than a level 20 two-star job.
He had previously wondered if these attribute points would be replenished, and if so, how they would be distributed; he hadn't expected them to appear directly as his own attribute points.
Simple and straightforward.
However, he liked it.
Ten free attribute points were enough to elevate his strength by two levels.
"However, then again, I'm already invincible in this world, so whether my strength continues to improve doesn't seem to matter much."
Aoki shook his head, not thinking much about it.
In any case, improving strength is a good thing.
He looked at his skill bar again, and there was one more skill—the third reward from the "Path of the Ghost King."
"Soul Impact?"
Aoki's eyes gradually brightened.
His strength was now quite complete.
His movement skill was "Spatial Traverse," equivalent to a combination of flash and teleportation, with no cooldown, extremely useful for both offense and retreat. Offense
also included his self-created Aoki Style, which, while lacking a true finishing move, was sufficient for most situations.
Defense… he didn't need to defend at all; he regenerated infinitely and could be injured easily.
Perception included "Transparent World," a 360-degree all-around perception that didn't rely on the eyes and even had predictive capabilities.
The only thing he lacked was a control skill.
"Soul Impact" filled that gap.
"Soul Impact," as the name suggests, launched a mental attack targeting the soul; at best, it caused mental confusion and sluggish movements, at worst, even soul collapse.
It's somewhat similar to Muzan Kibutsuji's shockwave.
However, Muzan Kibutsuji's shockwave primarily targets the body, while "Soul Impact" targets the soul.
The latter is more unpredictable and harder to defend against, but its damage is less.
At close range, Muzan Kibutsuji's shockwave can even kill a Pillar.
But "Soul Impact," unless the difference in strength is too great, is unlikely to directly cause death.
It's primarily a control skill, and its specific effect depends on the enemy's strength.
Besides, "Soul Impact" might have surprising effects against certain special enemies.
Aoki's joy didn't last long; he quickly discovered a serious problem.
"Soul Impact" is currently learnable, but the learning requirement is—6 free skill points!
"Well, that's to be expected."
Aoki shook his head, suppressing his impulse.
After all, he's facing the "King of the White Walkers."
While he hoped to learn it with just one skill point, that was clearly impossible.
Six skill points were acceptable, but the question was, where would he get skill points?
Currently, he has three ways to obtain skill points: quests, leveling up, and devouring Demons.
The first one can only wait passively.
As for the second and third, they both require killing Demons.
However, after Muzan Kibutsuji's death, there are only three Demons left in the world, including him. Where can they collect skill points?
