Chapter 23: The Final Dance with the White Devil
Julius, though his sword was broken, did not give up. A white beam burst from his body so fiercely that it pierced even the walls of heaven. He began pounding Volt with super-cosmic speed. Every blow was like an explosion of a star.
The terrible laughter
In the midst of all the beating, Volt stopped. Blood was running down her face, but she let out a laugh that silenced even Sakuna. A deep, fiery, terrifying laugh that sounded like the sound of millions of bones breaking.
Volt: "Hahahaha... Julius! My old friend! Give me happiness... Give me more! Don't you know that pain is like old wine to me?"
Julius shouted angrily, "You are mad, Volt! You are a mad king who deserves to be destroyed!"
The Fun War: A combination of Level 40 and Julius's power
Julius used a force called the "end of the universe. Heaven was falling to pieces. Julius and Volt collided in the air like two black and white beams. This was no longer just a war, this was a conflict of two wills.
Sai and Aki could only hear the air tearing. Every time Volt got a heavy hit, he just laughed louder.
Volt: "Julius! Remember how we created worlds together 9,000 years ago? Now let's destroy them together!"
Pain Penalty: Change the game
Volt suddenly appeared behind Julius. He put his hand on her shoulder. In that instant, Julius felt every cell in his body begin to tingle. Volt used the power of Bundles to place Julius in a "slowed down time".
To the outside world it was only a second, but to Julius it was thousands of years in which Volt slowly tore his soul to pieces. Volt didn't want Julius to die, he wanted Julius to feel the weight of the betrayal he had committed within each second.
Volt: "It was nice, wasn't it? But the game ends here.
🌑 End of the chapter: The silence of heaven
Volt destroyed Julius with an "absolute erasure" blow, but not completely; Volt turned Julius into a silent shadow that will forever remain within the depths of darkness.
With Julius' fall, the whole of heaven began to turn gray. A cold, electronic sound was heard from all sides:
[System: WARNING! The threat level has reached the red limit. Emergency: The beginning of the process of restoring the universe.
Volt looked at Sai and Aki. "It looks like the system is not satisfied its king is back. Sai, Sakuna... get ready. Now it's time to kill the 'God in the Codes.'
