Back in the mindscape, Mary spent two full hours chopping, salting, and seasoning the vegetables. Only after sealing everything properly did she finally straighten up and let out a long breath.
"Master," Cleo asked curiously, having watched the entire process, "why are you making this? Is it really edible?"
Living in the mindscape, Cleo did not need to eat and never felt hungry. Seeing nothing but vegetables, especially with so much chili added, she seriously doubted whether this food was meant for humans.
"This needs to soak for two days before it's ready," Mary replied. "When I stayed outside for about twenty minutes, that was already enough time inside."
She was tired and a little hungry. She hadn't eaten much in the morning.
Her gaze fell on the leeks growing lush and green nearby. "Cleo, let's make dumplings."
She remembered that she still had some shrimp stored away. It would be perfect for dumplings.
