"Donald, let me borrow the truck," Ryan said. "I need to go out for a bit. I owe you one. If you need anything later, just say the word."
"Alright, here are the keys," Donald replied without hesitation.
Ryan thanked him and led Mary to the back of the canteen, where the truck was parked. It was an old, large vehicle, clearly worn with age, but kept very clean.
Ryan's driving was steady, and Mary didn't feel much bumpiness along the way.
When they neared the city, Ryan parked by the roadside. "Wife, take out the wild boar so we can find someone to slaughter it."
Mary checked the surroundings. Seeing no one nearby, she climbed into the back of the truck and took the wild boar out of her space. The three boars looked as if they had just died, their bodies still warm.
She jumped down, nodded to Ryan to signal she was done, and got back into the truck.
