Blue and Railan had small talks and little gestures of affection that she was getting the whole time.It went on till Blue accepted t dating Railan. This time, the only ones who knew about them was her cousin Medina, after all, she was the one who got them to know each other.
The others could only gumble if it was true or it was just their imaginations.
Railan being among the popular boys back then in his days in the school, he still had some junior crush's that never got the chance. With no way of saying if it was admiration or envy they feel now seeing all that happen.
Everything was going fine for Blue,blending in and getting to know a lot more people than she thought she would cause blending in wasn't something she'sgood at which made the pattern now easier than before. It was like her popularity just took an extra turn in a short span of time.
Blue went to visit her maternal family for the weekend after a long time hoping for a little bit of change in her environment.
" It's boring, I can barely keep my eyes on it without feeling dizzy" She tried grabbing the remote, but she wasn't fast enough.
All Blue could do was glare at them.
A text came in her taking her attention, " I miss you. Wanna see you if you aren't too busy "She didn't know what to say.
It was almost 6 o'clock, and Blue is the type to stay home before it's dark.
"It's a little late, don't you think?" She sent him waiting to see what it's all about.
" Just a few minutes. I'm in your area"
That got her attention, wondering when and how long he's been here.
She hesitated " But when and how..."
" You don't have to come but just 30 minutes and that's all am asking for ok"
She thought about it and decided to take the risk and break her own rule of staying home after dark
The place was six houses away from her place. On reaching Blue saw him waiting for her.
"Did I take long?" she tapped him, drawing his attention.
Blue was engulfed in a tight hug that brought a smile to her face unconsciously.
"You're just in time, and I wouldn't mind waiting a little longer for you, beautiful " Railan gave a small smile. Even with the age gap between them, they seem to get along pretty fine, and that was enough for Blue.

Holding hands on the way back was a new feeling for her. She didn't see the day going this way not for once till Railan stopped her just a distance away from her home.
She got startled "what's wrong Railan " feeling him tighten his grip on her hand a little. Railan placed his hands on her waist and pulled her close just inches away from her face. He cupped her cheek and smiled at her before whispering " Can I kiss you?"
Blue's breath hitched, not knowing how to answer, she nodded her head, not finding the words to say. With no further say
Railan tilted her head and finally it happened.
The kiss was slow and sweet with both of them taking their time. This being her first kiss, Blue's heart was thundering in her chest not knowing where to put her hands, she had no option but to cling to his shirt awkwardly.
When they finally parted, breathless,
Railan murmured against her lips.
"Your trouble."
Blue smiled " And you like me that way"
"No I dont like you. I love you " Railan held her hand in his watching her reaction and finding it cute. Blue not having an answer for him didn't know what to do . So she chose silence hoping he wont mind after the abrupt confession.
Blue couldn't look him in the face again till she reached home and waved at him before running inside.
The fact that no one realised she wasn't home saved her from getting questioned about her whereabouts and her not having the mind to do any explanations for the day.
That night, Blue kept turning and tossing, finding it hard to fall asleep. Everything happened faster than expected in a short span of time.
