Siberian Base — the birthplace of mutant evolution.

Lancelot sat alone in a silent room, preparing for the Student Lottery Draw.

Over the past year, he had already completed three junior-level draws.

Only one chance remained—a draw capable of granting a God-tier student ability.

But Lancelot was in no hurry.

There were still eleven years before the Days of Future Past plan would begin—more than enough time for him to grow.

"System, begin the auxiliary pupil technique draw," Lancelot said calmly.

Ding!

Lottery initiated. Host detected with three pupil-technique draw opportunities. Beginning first draw.

Ding!

First draw complete. Congratulations to the host for obtaining: Pupil Technique · Conscious Vision.

Lancelot felt his brain buzz briefly. In the next moment, a brand-new ability awakened within him.

Pupil Technique · Conscious Vision—originating from Mu Yin City's Performer—allowed the user to mentally control any electronic device.

Because thought itself is a form of electronic signal.

In simple terms, this ability resembled Bradley's power—but on a far greater scale.

With it, Lancelot could detach his soul entirely from his physical body and exist within the digital world.

A form of pseudo-immortality of consciousness.

After awakening this power, even Professor X could no longer erase his thoughts.

"Continue," Lancelot said, refocusing.

Ding!

Congratulations, host has obtained: Pupil Technique · Eye of the Future.

The legendary Eye of the Future, possessed by heroic warriors, allowed its user to foresee events currently unfolding.

"Precognition… not bad at all."

Lancelot smiled. He had once worried about being trapped by fate—but now, the future's variables lay clearly before him.

Ding!

Congratulations, host has obtained: Shaka's Eye.

Shaka's Eye originated from Saint Seiya. It allowed energy to be sealed within the eyes, releasing it in a devastating burst when activated.

"Shaka's Eye… store energy until detonation."

Lancelot murmured as he sealed his immense internal power into his ruby-like pupils.

This ability was exceptionally useful.

Although Lancelot could absorb energy, his body had limits.

Now, with Shaka's Eye, all excess energy could be stored in his eyes.

"Conscious Perception."

His pupils contracted slightly. He mimicked Professor X's gesture, placing a hand against his temple.

Boom.

His soul trembled—and then left his body.

It expanded across the entire base.

No—far beyond that.

Lancelot realized that if he wished, he could instantly control every network and electronic system on Earth.

True omnipresence.

The price, however, was clear:

He would have to abandon his physical body and become pure digital consciousness.

"Hm?"

As Lancelot drifted through the network, he detected a strange frequency.

Extremely well-hidden—undetectable by modern technology.

But to him, nothing could remain concealed.

"Captain, are you adapting well to post-war life?"

"I've never been better."

Two familiar voices echoed.

Lancelot intruded into the encrypted channel.

Crackling static flashed before his eyes—then an image formed.

A secret base.

Somewhere deep in Siberia.

Inside, HYDRA agents bustled with activity. At the center sat a man wearing a HYDRA captain's uniform—

Steve Rogers.

Seated upon Red Skull's former throne.

"Hail HYDRA!"

Dr. Arnim Zola raised his arm enthusiastically.

"Dr. Zola, report on the Winter Soldier," the HYDRA Captain ordered, returning the salute.

"The Winter Soldier has fully recovered. All units have been successfully brainwashed."

Steve Rogers frowned slightly.

"And the replication of the Winter Soldier serum?"

"That's what matters."

"The serum is based on your Super Soldier formula. It still requires time to perfect."

Zola hesitated.

Since the appearance of this HYDRA Captain, the organization had grown rapidly—but Zola sensed hidden motives.

"Trash."

Steve snorted coldly and tapped his earpiece.

"The greatest future crisis is Days of Future Past. Why not kill Trask while he's still young?"

Silence followed.

"Once you experience it yourself, you'll understand why we didn't," came the reply—heavy and grave.

"Then what became of the mysterious Mutant King?" Steve pressed.

Silence.

"I don't know."

The line cut.

Steve crushed the communicator.

"Future… Sentinels… Mutants…"

"What a headache."

He surveyed the massive HYDRA base and finally made his decision.

"No matter what, dangers should be eliminated at the source."

"The Mutant King is too dangerous for the future."

Rising from his seat, his eyes darkened.

"Hail HYDRA."
