"Did the White Queen, Emma Frost, go to Moscow alone?"
Inside CIA Headquarters, Lancelot set down the intelligence file in his hand and turned his gaze to the surveillance screen beside him.
"It seems the conspiracy has already begun."
A faint smile appeared on Lancelot's face as he looked at Raven, standing beside him with golden hair and blue eyes.
"Raven, deliver this file to X-Base."
Lancelot casually handed her the document.
"Yes, Lord Lancelot."
Raven nodded slightly and left the office.
The moment she stepped outside, a ripple of blue scales passed over her body—and she transformed into a CIA agent.
Two hours later, Raven—now disguised as a CIA operative—appeared at X-Base. Standing before Professor X and Magneto, she solemnly handed the file to Charles Xavier.
After reviewing Emma Frost's information, Professor X and Magneto immediately decided to travel to Moscow to capture the White Queen.
"Poor Charles…"
Watching Professor X, Magneto, and Agent Moira board a plane and depart, Raven reverted to her true form and shook her head with faint pity.
From beginning to end, neither Professor X nor Magneto realized that everything they did was under Lancelot's watchful eye—and that the intelligence they received was exactly what Lancelot wanted them to know.
By the time Raven returned to CIA Headquarters, Lancelot had already been waiting for a while.
"My lord, Professor X has left," Raven said softly. She transformed into a beautiful woman with black hair and dark eyes, gently kneading Lancelot's shoulders.
"Yes. I know."
Lancelot nodded, his ruby-like eyes glinting with light.
Now that the plot had fully entered its course, all Lancelot needed to do was wait patiently.
According to the events of the first battle, Professor X and Magneto would capture Emma Frost and extract Sebastian Shaw's location from her. Shaw would then attack X-Base and abduct Angel Salvadore.
But whether it was Emma's capture or Shaw's assault, both would take time.
This rare calm was precious. Lancelot decided to take Raven out to relax.
"Come on, Raven. Let's go for a drive."
He stood up and tossed her a set of car keys, smiling.
"Stark Industries' newest Future Series limited-edition supercar?!"
In the underground garage of CIA Headquarters, Raven couldn't help but gasp when she saw the sleek, luxury vehicle before her—its design far more modern than anything of this era.
She had grown up with Charles Xavier. Though he inherited a manor, he was never wealthy.
Raven had lived like an ordinary person her whole life, never experiencing the extravagance of high society.
Now, staring at this futuristic masterpiece from Stark Industries, her eyes sparkled.
"Long live my king!"
She threw her arms around Lancelot, shouting like an excited little girl.
Lancelot sat inside the so-called "future fantasy" supercar. The ergonomically designed seats were incredibly comfortable, and the interior space was as spacious as a luxury business vehicle, packed with cutting-edge technology.
Even compared to top-tier supercars of the 21st century, this one surpassed them.
Most impressive of all was the intelligent driving system—technology that only Stark Industries could produce in a world like this.
Vrooom—
Raven excitedly started the engine. The powerful roar shook the garage as brilliant streams of light burst from the twin rear exhausts.
"So cool!" she shouted, slamming the accelerator.
The car shot forward like a cheetah. Its suspension and shock absorption were so advanced that Raven felt no vibration at all.
"Truly worthy of Stark, the genius," Lancelot couldn't help but praise.
In terms of technology—aside from the hidden Wakanda—Stark Industries was unrivaled.
After the initial excitement, Raven activated autopilot and curled up beside Lancelot, gazing at him with her pale golden eyes.
"My lord… it wasn't until I met you that I truly understood the meaning of being alive."
Overcome with emotion, she kissed him.
As Raven said, only now did she truly feel alive. She no longer had to hide, no longer had to suppress herself. She was living a life she never dared to imagine as a mutant.
A life of respect.
A life of luxury.
Not one spent hiding like a rat in the streets.
Emotionally intense, Raven believed that offering her most perfect self to Lancelot was the truest expression of her heart.
The two of them played cards inside the car.
Meanwhile, in Moscow, Professor X and the others had begun searching for Emma Frost.
Afraid of drawing attention, Charles refrained from using telepathy. Instead, they relied on Moira's intelligence work to gradually track Emma's movements.
"I've had enough, Charles!"
Inside a CIA safe house, Erik Lehnsherr roared like an enraged lion.
He had been hiding for three days. He didn't want to wait anymore. He wanted to storm the general's estate, slaughter everyone there, and use his powers to force Emma Frost out.
"Magneto, you shouldn't speak to Charles like that," Moira said sharply before Charles could respond.
"Shut up, woman."
Erik raised his right hand. The metal necklace around Moira's neck levitated instantly, wrapping around her throat and tightening.
"Erik—Erik!"
Seeing Moira struggle in pain, Charles shouted furiously, pressing his hand to his temple.
"Calm down, Erik."
Charles' voice echoed directly in Magneto's mind. Erik's expression darkened—but he released Moira.
"If you still consider me a friend, Charles, then make a decision—now."
With a cold snort, Magneto turned and walked out.
Left behind, Charles sank into silence. He glanced at Moira apologetically and shook his head.
"Moira… Erik is right. We don't have much time left. I have a very bad feeling."
