He didn't get a wink of sleep, it's as if his mind was being consumed by that curve on her lips. Was it a good reaction? A bad one? Was she happy or angry? Perhaps she was even sad for some reason. Was she plotting something, or did her plans for him stop in that moment.
Thoughts like that ran through his head while he layed on that bed. He brought his hand to his chest and thought of her and her smile, yet no fluctuations happened in his heartbeat.
Groaning, he brought his hands up to his face and rolled around the bed.
"Just make up your damn mind already.."
Jumping out of bed, he turned on the shower, letting the cold water hit him. He actually added a feature to the house where, with a soul shard, he could get it much colder or hotter than the average shower. Which is why the cold water that hit him wasn't just cold, but it was freezing. It was around the same temperature if you went down a hundred feet into a dark ocean.
Wait, wasn't Effie supposed to be coming over right about now? So was Rain, as Effie would be helping her use the spear. It also happened to be around the time Morgan woke up after he totally didn't start a habit of tracking her sleep, meal, and many other cycles.
He turnt off the water, not bothering to dry himself as he threw clothes on. But before he turnt the door handle, he heard three voices coming from the living room.
"So like you're together? With him? Of all people?"
Hey.
Suddenly Rain's voice appeared as well.
"I respect him and all, after all he teaches me everything I know, but.. him..?"
Hey..
"I can see where you're coming from, after all he's emotional, brash, and downright uncivilized at times.. but still I suppose you could say yes we're together."
Hey..
Wait we're not together dont tell them that!
"How do you even handle him.. don't tell me you're peg him..?"
He heard Rain gasp and cover her mouth. What did "peg him" mean? Does she mean hit?
Morgan took a sip of whatever she was drinking before setting it down.
"You could say that."
Another gasp came, but this time it was from Effie and Rain.
Is she implying she beats him in a fight? He could take the insults, but that? Infront of his student? More importantly his sister, but infront of his student? He couldn't take this one lying down.
Throwing the door open, he pointed at Morgan before shouting.
"If anything I do the pegging! Don't lie you witch!"
Silence enveloped the room before Morgan covered her mouth, quiet snickers coming from underneath her hand.
For some reason, he felt like it didn't mean what he thought it meant.
---
"It's mortifying you know that right?!" He slammed his head on the tree while Cassie watched. She brought her teacup to her lips before letting out a sigh of relief, a smile gracing her face.
"That's rough Sunny.. could never be me though."
The words sounded graceful, but Sunny was already preparing to pee in her teacup as soon as she turned away.
"You didn't strike me as the type.. well that would be a lie, I expected you to be into those sort of things."
"Do you want to die?"
It seemed like she actually thought on it for a second, which was quite worrying, but eventually she did speak.
"Well you've tried it out a copule times, care to give me a review before I give my awnser?"
"How about I give you an example?"
She took another sip of her tea. Only then did he notice that it was empty and has most likely been empty this whole time.
"How bored are you..?"
"Very, but that's besides the point."
She sighed, setting down the empty cup before a serious look dawned her face.
"I suggest you stop this little charade you have with Morgan."
His eyebrow raised, and what charade, this was an extremely important and serious bet.
"I had two visons, the first being a shadow bleeding infront of a rose, yet letting that blood trail down it."
That did scare him a little. The shadow was obviously him, and the rose must have been Morgan by the looks of it. He'll have to deal with that later. The most important matter at hand is something else.
"And what's the second vison?"
She looked up smiling, not an innocent smile, but one of pure evil. Or atleast that's how it felt, despite being a normal looking one.
"Oh its not much, just Morgan and her sister fighting over you."
"Huh? Morgan doesn't have a sister."
"Ah sorry, that was spoilers for the epilogue."
...
"What..?"
---
Walking through the front door, he saw Morgan laying on the couch watching some old pre nightmare spell film.
"Sup."
With the way she was sprawled across the couch, had food and wrappers scattered across the table, and with her lifting up her arm to scratch her armpits while in her food stained tank top, the worries of the vison Cassie had faded away.
"Hey Morgan?"
"Sup."
"Would you ever uh, you know like.. hurt me? Physically that is, like leave me bleeding."
"Depends."
He had to stand there for around 5 minutes before he spoke again.
"So is that a yes?"
She paused the movie before sitting up on the couch, spreading her legs and arms out like she was making a snow angel.
"I'm sweeter than I taste you know?"
Sunny glared at her. As soon as that incident happened, he disappeared into the dream realm and went to make Cassie his therapist.
"I dont think someone who's sweet would tell my student they do something so vulgar to me, also I'm positive that you're not sweet at all!"
She rolled her eyes. A smile spread across her face as she got up off the couch and strutted over to him.
"You trying to find out?"
Huh?
"Don't give me that look, I asked you if you wanted to find out."
He was tempted, but.. he was what? He shook his head before trying to fill his thoughts with the horrors of the forgotten shore to clear the feeling sinking down in his stomach.
"It wont matter anyways, after all I've tasted myself and I know I'm much sweeter than whatever you taste like."
She paused for a moment. A look of slight disgust appeared on her face.
"You've tasted yourself? Like as in taste you mean your-"
"No."
He coughed into his hand, remembering all the times he's tasted his own blood. A proud look appeared on his face as he spoke.
"Plus I know I taste good because every nightmare creature I run across wants to eat me!"
"I dont think thats something to be proud of."
It was, right? After all, if it wasn't something to be proud of, what was it?
"How can I take your word for that though? I should probably find out myself right?"
In a panic, he sent his shadow to armament his body. Could this be the vison Cassie had saw? As Morgan's hand stretched out, he prepared for the worst, but that never came.
By the time he snapped back in, Morgan brought his hand up to her face and placed his finger in her mouth. A tingily sensation overtook his hand and finger, and that tingily sensation spread to his brain once he felt her tounge swirl around it as if tasting it. Another sensation was flowing down, but he forced blood weave to stop that. Though in the moment he commanded blood weave, Morgan bit down onto his finger, causing a tiny speckle of blood to drip out. As she drew took it out her mouth, a trail of saliva made a bridge between it and the inside of her mouth before he hastily pulled away.
His brain was in overdrive. His thoughts though were scattered, causing him to be overstimulated.
Wiping her mouth, she smiled once more.
"You were right.. you do taste quite good, and while you're here I have to ask you something."
"Uh huh."
"Theres a Valor ball coming up, not a extremely big one that will be held in some months. I was offered to bring a guest, would you like to come?"
"Uh huh."
"That's great, make sure you wear a suit.. well I'll be here to make sure you leave with the proper attire."
"Uh huh."
"You there..?"
"Uh huh."
Silence lingered in the living room for some time before she slowly backed away.
"Well.. goodnight then.."
"Uh huh."
By the time his brain started working agian, he was in a suit heading out the door with Morgan, who was in a mix of armor and a red dress.
"You ready?"
"Uh huh."
Wait what?
