The college holiday bell rang, but for Elena, it was no ordinary holiday. She was following Professor Ziraat (Zarron), her steps were heavy but an unknown force was pulling her. Zarron motioned for her to get into his shiny black car. The car left the hustle and bustle of the city and turned into a desolate direction where the shadows of the trees were unnaturally long and dark.
"Where are we going, sir?" Elena asked, plucking up courage. The golden line of his eyes was now shining brightly; she could see small magical beings (Goblins) hiding behind the trees along the road.
Zarron stopped the car in front of an ancient, dilapidated mansion. "Elena, you were eager to know your truth, weren't you? Today the mirror behind which you are hiding will break," he said coldly and led her towards the mansion's basement.
Meanwhile, the Seraph had reached the border of the 'Valley of the Underworld'. The air here smelled of sulfur and burning flesh. Fountains of fire were boiling from the ground. As soon as the Seraph stepped into the valley, hundreds of Fire Serpents emerged from behind the rocks.
Their bodies were like burning coals and their eyes were full of flames. "A golden serpent? What are you doing here, prince? All you find here is ashes," a huge fire serpent roared.
The Seraph spread his wings, blue lightning began to crackle from his golden skin. "Leave the path! I have to reach the 'Light of the Dragon', otherwise I will destroy all of you in this fire," the Seraph's voice had the glory that only a true heir has.
A terrible battle began. The seraph was dropping rocks with his tail and the fire snakes were raining fireballs on him. The seraph's body started to burn in places, but the memory of Elena was not letting him break. He was remembering how Elena used to sit him on her palm and tell him magical stories as a child. The power of this love filled the seraph with a new enthusiasm and with a loud roar, he gathered all his magical power and created such an explosion that all the fire snakes were forced to retreat.
Arriving in the basement, Zaron placed his hand on a wall, which opened with magic. Inside was a vast hall with a large magical mirror in the middle. Zaron made Elena stand in front of it.
"Look, Elena! Look who you are," Zaron whispered in her ear.
Elena screamed when she looked in the mirror. In the mirror, she saw not her own face, but the reflection of an ancient serpent with a luminous crown on its head and the same golden line in its eyes.
"This... this is not me!" Elena retreated, crying.
Zaron laughed, a laugh that contained both pain and horror. "You are the one, Elena. You are the princess of the serpent world who was made human to save the power of the seraph. If you join me, we can rule both worlds. We don't need the seraph."
Elena's head began to spin. She started remembering all the dreams where she flew through the clouds with a golden serpent. She realised that Zarun was trying to turn her against the Seraph.
At the same time, in the prison of the Seraph, the masked stranger was cutting the chains of the Seraph's parents. "Hurry up! The Golden Serpent has heard the news," he said quickly.
Suddenly, the door burst open and the Golden Serpent appeared in his rage. "Traitor! Are you alive?" he shouted at the masked one.
The masked one drew his sword. "Today your tyranny will end, serpent! The Seraph is about to reach the 'Light of the Azdar' and when that sword awakens, your magic will turn to ashes." Elena looked at Zarun, her eyes now completely golden. "I will never meet you, Zarun! My soul belongs to the Seraph," she said bravely.
Zarun's face turned black with anger. "Then you will never be able to leave here." She waved her magic wand and created a strong wall of black mist around Elena that was impossible to break.
Meanwhile, the Seraph had reached the far end of the valley of Hades, where the 'Light of the Dragon' sword was shining inside a rock. As the Seraph stretched out his hand to touch it, the Shadow Serpent appeared there, intent on obtaining the sword.
"This sword is mine, prince! Your death is now certain," the Shadow Serpent's voice echoed in the valley. The atmosphere in the dark and damp basement of the mansion had become heavy. There was horror in the eyes of Zarun (the Serpent Prince), he was circling Elena like a hunter closing in on his prey.
"Elena, look!" Zarun waved his hands in the air. Suddenly, carvings began to appear on the walls, in which the history of the Serpents was recorded. "Your soul is made of the golden light that was born at the beginning of the universe. The Seraph considers you just a pawn so that he can regain his lost kingdom. But I... I will give you a position that no one could have imagined."
Elena was gasping for breath. The black mist that wrapped around her, she felt as if thousands of tiny snakes were crawling on her skin. She closed her eyes and imagined Seraph. She remembered that golden touch, that innocence in Seraph's eyes.
"No, Zarun!" Elena's voice echoed in the depths of the basement. "The Seraph has never lied to me. His love is sacrifice, not lust like yours."
As Elena spoke these words, a golden ray shot from her chest, shaking the black mist barrier for a moment. Zarun snarled in anger. "Then you will be responsible for your own destruction!" Meanwhile, in the burning plain of the Underworld, the Seraph and the Shadow Serpent stood facing each other. The Shadow Serpent's existence was like smoke that sometimes expanded and sometimes contracted to take the form of a dagger.
"You are not worthy of this sword, Seraph." The Shadow Serpent's voice was like the wind blowing in a cemetery. "Your heart beats for a human, and a weak heart cannot bear the burden of the 'Light of the Dragon'."
Instead of answering, the Seraph made a powerful leap. His golden body was shining in flames. He exhaled blue magical fire from his mouth, but the Shadow Serpent dissolved into the air and stabbed the Seraph in the back. The Seraph groaned in pain, blood starting to seep from his golden skin.
"Elena..." the Seraph called out to him, groaning. Even in this pain, he could see the face of Elena, who was imprisoned by Zarun. The Seraph realized that if he lost here, Elena would be gone forever.
Suddenly, an ancient power awakened within the Seraph. The color of his eyes turned completely white and a magical shield formed around him. He felt that the sword 'Light of the Dragon' was calling to him. The Seraph dragged his injured body and placed his hand on the hilt of the sword.
A loud explosion occurred! The entire valley was filled with white light. The Shadow Serpent screamed in horror as the light burned him. At that moment, miles away in the mansion where Elena was imprisoned, a miracle occurred. As soon as the Seraph touched the sword, the golden line on Elena's hand transformed into a full golden dragon mark.
Elena felt a power within her that she had never known before. She spread her hands and the golden light emanating from her being shattered Zaron's black fog barrier like glass.
Zaron stepped back in surprise. "This... this is the power of the 'Dragon Queen'. How could it come to you?"
Elena's voice was no longer human; it had a divine glory in it. "Love is that magic, Zaron, that black magicians like you will never understand."
The walls of the hall began to collapse. Elena was no longer suspended on the ground but in the air. She knew that the Seraph had obtained the sword, and now their reunion was close. Meanwhile, in the real world of Seraph, the Golden Serpent fell from his throne. He felt his magical power rapidly diminish.
"No! This cannot be!" he shouted. "The Seraph has awakened the sword? My soldiers! Use all the magic you have, block all the paths between the human world and the serpent world! The Seraph must be killed before he gets here!"
But it was too late. The Seraph's parents had been freed from prison, and now the rebellion had begun within the palace. The situation in the mansion's basement had now changed. The golden light emanating from Elena's existence had not only torn through the black fog of Zarun, but also shaken the foundations of the decaying mansion. Zarun, who always had a proud smile on his face, was now retreating in fear and anger.
"Your courage!" Zarun roared, his human skin cracking in places and the shiny skin of a black serpent began to appear from under it. "You think that just by awakening a mark, you will defeat me? I have spent thousands of years in darkness, I will swallow this light of yours!"
Zarun slammed his staff on the ground, causing the floor to crack and hundreds of black snakes emerged from it and started moving towards Elena. But Elena was not afraid. She could hear the seraph's voice in her ears, as if he were encouraging her from miles away.
Elena raised her hands in the air, and golden lightning shot from her mark, turning those black snakes to ash. "Zarron, you wanted to use my love for your lust, but now your magic won't work here!" As the Seraph held the 'Light of the Dragon' in the Valley of the Underworld with all his might, the blood that flowed from his wounded body fell onto the metal part of the sword. As the blood and magic combined, the sword created a blue wave that momentarily cooled the burning fire of the valley.
The Shadow Serpent, which had now taken the form of a giant cloud of smoke, began to tremble as it retreated. "You... you put your life on the line? This sword will consume your soul!"
The Seraph, whose eyes were now as white as a burning star, spoke slowly: "If my soul is the price to save Elena, I will gladly pay it."
The Seraph waved the sword in the air. A magnificent golden dragon appeared from the sword's light and grabbed the Shadow Serpent. The rocks of the valley of Hades began to break and a magical portal opened that led directly to the human world. Seraph jumped into this portal without hesitation; his goal was only one: to protect Elena. Meanwhile, in the mansion, Zarun had now taken on his full serpent form. A giant black serpent with red fire emanating from its eyes. He slammed Elena against the wall with a single blow of his tail.
A streak of blood came out of Elena's mouth and she fell to the ground breathless. "Now speak, princess! Where is your seraph?" Zarun bared his poisonous teeth and tilted his head towards Elena.
Elena looked at the ceiling with blurry eyes. She could see death in front of her, but her heartbeat was still calling out the seraph's name.
At that very moment, when Zarun was about to bite Elena, the roof of the mansion blew away with a loud explosion. A golden tornado descended from the sky and the blue light of the 'Nur-e-Azdar' spread throughout the hall.
The seraph, in his human form but with that magical sword in his hand, stood between Elena and Zarun. His clothes were torn, his body was scarred, but seeing the glory in his eyes, even a mighty serpent like Zarun took a step back.
"Zarun!" the seraph's voice roared. "Today your cruelty will be judged, and that too with the sword that drinks only the blood of traitors." Seraph turned back and glanced at Elena, who was trying to smile at him in a semi-conscious state. "Seraphim... you're here..." he said in a weak voice.
Tears welled up in Seraph's eyes, but he controlled himself. "I promised Elena, I would never leave you alone."
Now two great powers faced each other in the hall. On one side was centuries of black magic and betrayal, and on the other, the sword of love and truth. The air was so charged with magical energy that plaster began to fall off the walls and windows shattered.
In the middle of the hall, Seraph and Zarun were ready to dance a dance of death in front of each other. Seraph felt Elena's breathing hitch. She was only 17 years old; her innocent human body was not yet fully ready to handle the power of this ancient "Queen of Dragons". That was why the golden light emanating from her being was now fading, and her face was turning yellow.
Zarun laughed devilishly at this. "Look, Seraph! You have burdened this girl with a power that even the greatest magicians could not bear. She will die right now, because her human heart is too small to endure this magical fire!"
A pang rose in Seraph's heart. He looked at Elena, who was moaning in pain. "No, Zarun, her power is not in her body, but in her trust."
Zarun swung his black staff and struck the Seraph with a powerful blow. Seraph blocked the blow with the 'Light of the Dragon', which filled the entire hall with blue and black lightning. The magical powers of the two clashed, causing deep craters to form on the ground.
Seraph gathered all his strength and attacked Zarron with his sword. The light of the sword began to cut through Zarron's black magic, but Zarron was very cunning. He felt that he could not defeat Seraph directly, so he changed his direction and threw a poisonous magic ball directly at Elena.
"No!" Seraph shouted.
He dropped his sword and jumped towards Elena, catching the ball on his body. Seraph suffered a deep wound on his back and fell at Elena's feet.
Elena opened her eyes and saw Seraph wounded at her feet, her heart breaking. "Seraphim! Because of me... you..." Her small hands touched Seraph's injured face.
"Elena... nothing should happen to you..." Seraph said in a pained tone.
At that moment, a strange wave ran through Elena. Although she was only 16 years old, seeing her beloved near death awakened her tenderness and love at the same time. She felt that the golden streak in her blood was now synchronising with her heartbeat.
Zarun came closer, his black shadow covering Elena and Seraph. "Now the story of the two of you is over!" He pulled out his poisonous dagger.
But as soon as he lowered the dagger, Elena grabbed Seraph's sword 'Nur-e-Azdar'. The sword, which would have turned into stone in someone else's hand, became as bright as the sun when Elena touched it. In the hands of the 16-year-old girl, the sword seemed as if all the light in the universe had been concentrated at one point.
Elena let out a scream that contained both anger and pain, and a wave from the sword slammed Zarun into the other wall of the hall.
Meanwhile, in the Serpent Realm, when the Golden Serpent saw that Zarun was being defeated, he made a final and terrible decision. He activated the "Blood Altar" in the basement of his palace.
"If I can't find Elena's soul, I won't let anyone else have it!" He cut a vein in his hand and poured the blood into the altar.
With this action, the floor of the mansion in the human world began to melt rapidly. A swamp began to form that swallowed everything.
Seraph barely held Elena. "Elena, we have to get out of here! This place is being destroyed!"
But Elena's condition was now very different. Due to her young age, the use of the magic sword had drained all her energy. She was becoming lifeless in Seraph's arms.
Seraph hugged her to his chest and looked up at the sky. "Even if death comes today, it won't be able to separate us." The portal was closing now, and the mansion was collapsing. Zarun was either buried somewhere under the rubble or had disappeared. Seraph used the last of his magical power to carry Elena across the portal.
