Chapter 75: The Powerful Little Robin
"Is this pirate crew made up of kids? Hahaha…"
"Don't say that—look at this brat, she's even a Devil Fruit user. What a waste."
"Tch, our captain's a Bear-Bear Fruit user. That little thing—he could squash her with one slap."
Seeing Robin flying overhead, the pirates of the Black Bear crew showed not the slightest trace of fear. They jeered and laughed, their faces full of mockery.
Black Bear Joff was the same—irritable as ever, but he didn't take these little runts seriously at all.
Splurt… splurt… splurt…
Suddenly, the laughter stopped. A strange sound echoed—flesh being pierced.
Every pirate froze, eyes wide, then slowly looked down at their chests.
Right where their hearts were, at some unknown moment, massive claws had appeared—curved talons thrust straight through their flesh.
Blood streamed down along the claws in crimson lines.
"C-Captain… help… me…"
The pirates coughed blood, their eyes wide with terror, trying in vain to move.
Thud! Thud! Thud!
One by one, they collapsed, blood soaking the deck beneath them.
The instant the claws had appeared, Black Bear Joff's skin had sensed the deadly sharpness. Instinctively, he transformed—his body swelling as a thick coat of fur and hide covered him.
Even so, the enormous talons still pierced through, leaving a shallow wound that trickled blood. The pain made his rage surge.
"Damn it!"
He roared, grabbing a nearby corpse and hurling it at Robin in the air.
But Robin didn't panic. Her small lips opened to utter four crisp words:
"Back-Blooming Wing Flower."
As her voice fell, a pair of small wings sprouted from the corpse's back. They flapped, halting the body in midair before vanishing again—sending it tumbling harmlessly down.
At the same time, a pair of large fleshy wings also sprouted from Black Bear Joff's back. With a violent flap, they lifted him off the deck.
"Roar—!"
Caught off guard, Joff's body changed uncontrollably. He roared as he transformed into his beast form—a towering bear over three meters tall. His sheer weight strained the wings, dragging him downward.
He hadn't even cleared the ship's edge.
"Twin Blossoms on the Back!"
Another crisp command rang out.
Buzz!
Another pair of massive fleshy wings burst out behind him. With both sets flapping wildly, he shot uncontrollably upward—then veered off.
"Ahhh—!"
Black Bear Joff plunged into the sea with an unwilling howl.
Splash!
A great wave burst upward. The moment he hit the water, his Devil Fruit power vanished. His transformation broke, returning him to human form.
"Four-Wheel Blossom: Severed Sinew!"
Robin spoke again.
Instantly, four claws sprouted—one from each of his limbs—and slashed across his hands and legs.
Splurt!
Four bright streams of blood sprayed out, dyeing the seawater red.
Then, with a buzz, the two pairs of wings carried his limp body back up before vanishing, dropping him heavily onto the deck.
Little Robin landed back on her ship. She stumbled, nearly falling.
Her small face had gone pale; she bit her lip, trembling slightly.
"Your stamina's still too low—you need more physical training." Jiang Qize came to her side, rubbing her head gently.
Robin's mastery over her ability was already impressive, but her physical endurance was lacking. Even after eating the wind god Pterosaur Fruit, her body hadn't yet caught up—she simply hadn't trained long enough. With a few more years of hard work, this wouldn't happen.
After all, forcing a struggling Black Bear into the air with her powers had consumed a huge amount of strength.
If she'd only used her ability to sprout claws and kill the pirates, the drain would've been minor.
"Understood, Captain."
Little Robin nodded firmly, a faint flush returning to her cheeks.
