Chapter 74: The Black Bear Pirates

The storm came fast—and left just as quickly. In less than ten minutes, the dark clouds scattered.

The rain cleared, the sun returned, and a beautiful rainbow stretched across the sky.

The Mosasaurus once again carried the ship and sped forward.

The Pterosaur took off as well.

But it hadn't flown far before it let out a sharp cry.

"Yaa~!"

Camon and the others were seasoned sailors; naturally, they understood what that call meant.

Camon raised his telescope and looked out to sea.

"Captain, three pirate ships spotted!"

Ahead of them, three pirate ships were slowly moving in the same direction as theirs. The vessels looked battered—clearly they had just been through the same storm.

Jiang Qize glanced at them. They bore the same pirate flag, so they belonged to the same crew, though he didn't recognize which one.

"I'll leave it to you four. Don't eat them—anyone with a bounty stays alive."

"Yes, Captain!"

Camon and little Robin shouted excitedly.

The two newcomers, Aisha and Buck, smiled and answered as well.

Since they had chosen to become pirates, they were ready to face battle. The moment they ate their Dinosaur Fruits, they had already accepted that fate.

"Mosasaurus, go after them."

"Roar~!"

Beneath the waves, the massive Mosasaurus let out a thunderous roar. With a single sweep of its enormous tail, it shot forward like an arrow, propelling the ship ahead.

The Black Bear Pirates.

"Captain! A ship's chasing us from behind!"

On the main vessel—its mast flying a skull flag marked with a bear's paw—a burly but disheveled pirate ran up to a towering man wearing a long coat. The man had a mane of brown curls and a face full of menace.

"Who dares chase us? Do they have a death wish?"

Black Bear Joff growled, his bloodshot bear-like eyes sending chills down spines.

"It's another pirate crew. Looks like that one-billion-berry Summoner."

"What damn Summoner? Killed one noble and got 100 million on his head? Maybe I should go kill a few myself!"

Joff sneered viciously.

Then he turned and strode toward the stern, grabbing his weapon from a rack on the deck wall—a battle axe weighing a full hundred jin.

Meanwhile, the crews on the two other ships also gathered at their sterns.

Two hundred pirates in total stood at the ready, watching as the pursuing ship drew ever closer.

"I'll take the one in the middle," said little Robin.

Behind her, a pair of massive fleshy wings unfurled. With a few slow beats, she lifted herself into the air. A cute smile played on her lips.

"Robin, are you sure about that? Why don't you come with us?" Aisha called out immediately.

Among those three ships, the one in the center was clearly the strongest—and carried the most men.

And Robin was still so small…

"You two can handle one ship together. Don't worry about Robin," Camon said with a grin toward Aisha and Buck.

He knew Robin's strength better than anyone. She could mop the floor with all three of them if she wanted.

Hearing him, Aisha and Buck exchanged glances and smiled helplessly. "All right. But if you can't handle it, we'll jump in."

They were starting to feel confident in their own power.

By now, the two sides were only twenty meters apart. The Black Bear Pirates had stopped moving.

"I'm going in!"

A savage glint flashed in Camon's eyes as he grinned wide.

Then he bent his knees, and with a powerful leap, launched himself straight toward the leftmost ship of the Black Bear Pirates.

Up above, little Robin soared to a height of twenty meters, gazing down coldly at the ship where Black Bear Joff stood.

Her small feet had transformed into the massive talons of the wind god Pterosaur, gleaming with razor-sharp light.

Then she crossed her tiny hands in front of her chest.

"Single Wheel Blossom: Piercing Heart!"

Her youthful face turned deadly serious. Her eyes gleamed coldly as her soft voice—tinged with childishness yet icy as frost—rang out over the deck below.
