Chapter 57: The 100-Million Bounty

Gion hurriedly swung her blade once more.

"Boom!"

The hastily released slash exploded against the Raptorex's attack, shattering it completely. The fierce shockwave of sword energy tore through the air, blasting several officers who were using Geppo out of the sky.

After delivering that strike, the Raptorex stopped.

Looking at the completely destroyed warship and the few remaining marines floating above the sea, Jiang Qize's eyes glimmered with amusement. A faint smile curved the corner of his lips.

"Let's go," he said calmly.

"Yes, Captain!"

camon shouted excitedly.

Just moments ago, he'd felt both nervous and thrilled—after all, he'd once been a small-time pirate, and the Navy had always been his greatest nightmare. But now, seeing such a powerful naval force reduced to wreckage by his captain, his heart was filled with nothing but exhilaration and confidence.

So this was what the Navy really amounted to.

The one most moved, however, was little Robin.

Her homeland and family had been slaughtered by the Navy—their insignia represented her deepest hatred.

She used to live in fear of ever encountering them.

But after witnessing her captain easily destroy a naval warship, the unease in her heart had vanished, replaced by a spark of hope.

She clenched her small fists tightly.

"I'll become stronger too," she vowed silently, "and avenge my mother!"

Thud!

The ship shuddered slightly, then began to accelerate.

The Mosasaur had returned beneath the hull, pushing them swiftly away, leaving behind only scattered debris and a faint trail of red across the sea.

On the surface, only a few planks floated where the warship once was.

The surviving marines clung to the wreckage, coughing and gasping in horror.

Those still in the air slowly descended.

Gion's expression was grim. She had underestimated them—never expecting this small pirate crew to possess such a powerful sea beast. Her brief hesitation had cost her the battle and her chance to strike them down.

"What…"

In the Navy Headquarters—Fleet Admiral Kong's office—

His eyes narrowed sharply as he rose to his feet. A crushing aura swept through the entire office, making the very air tremble.

He slowly hung up the Den Den Mushi, his expression dark.

"Summoner Ze… it seems I underestimated you," Kong muttered in a low, heavy voice.

Of course he remembered that pirate—he'd personally issued the bounty himself.

But he hadn't expected that this small-time pirate from the East Blue would escape from vice admirals multiple times—and now, he'd gone so far as to sink Gion's warship.

Countless elite soldiers had perished. The loss was devastating.

But the worst part of all—was the humiliation to the Navy's pride.

"The Bronze Giant that can transform into a dinosaur… and those slashes… must be some kind of Ancient Zoan, maybe even Mythical. And that sea creature—his pet, perhaps? It pierced through a warship in one blow, with astonishing speed…"

Kong's face remained icy as he read through the report.

Ten minutes later, he made a call.

"Captain! Captain!"

Out in the boundless ocean—aboard the Dragon Flame pirate ship—

Little Robin came running in, clutching a handful of bounty posters. Her small feet pattered across the deck as she almost tripped at the door.

Creak…

The cabin door opened, and Jiang Qize stepped out.

"What is it?" he asked gently, ruffling her hair with a smile.

Robin's cheeks flushed pink, but she looked up at him with her wide, bright eyes and held out the bounty posters with both hands.

"Captain, your bounty has gone up!"

Jiang Qize took the top poster—it was his own.

His bounty had risen to 100 million Berries.

He smiled faintly, unsurprised.

After all, sinking a Navy warship was no small feat. If his bounty didn't rise after that, then something would be wrong. Especially since that warship had been commanded by a swordswoman above the "Swordmaster" rank—someone of considerable status.

He glanced through the rest of the posters.

camon had also been given a bounty, though only 500,000 Berries—pitifully low.

The Bronze Giant, his Raptorex form, had a photo as well—now dubbed the "Blade Demon", with a bounty of 30 million Berries.

The Mosasaur beneath the sea had also been given a bounty—20 million Berries—but remained unnamed.
