Chapter 74 - Yetmiş Dört

"It seems we have time; when can we enter the dungeon?"

Nafız also looked favorably on the proposal; everything seemed calm on the surface.

"Whenever you want, we can enter even right now!"

Seeing his friend looking at him strangely, Alyon continued to speak.

"There are three altars inside the castle; when we shed our blood there, the secret passage in the cellar will open!"

"Wow, you'd think Umbrella Co. built the castle; let's inform the kids then!"

As a result of Alyon knowing the entrance, everything would be very easy. The duo, gathering their warriors, opened the subject to them and set to work by making the necessary distribution of duties.

First, they entered the fountain in the garden. The statue was famous for turning towards the sun like the sunflowers on it. Nafız and Alyon, dripping their blood into the flower that had one more leaf than the others, returned to the castle after making sure no one saw them.

Next was the magnificent painting decorating the dining room. In the work where a chaotic battlefield was depicted, Alyon carefully examined the wounded and dead lying on the ground. Finally, seeing a woman with a baby in her arms being trampled by horses, he smiled joyfully and would hastily open a cut on his arm.

The painting absorbed the flowing blood immediately; there wasn't even a trace visible. Only a single step remained for the duo who discovered both altars. The stuffed heads of wild creatures on the wall they came in front of were looking at them.

The last altar was full of dangers; a wrong move could cause a person to lose their limbs. Alyon knowing everything about the reward dungeons in the Orc Steppes had practically been a gift.

The rapidly advancing hulking orc stopped in front of a large bear head. He didn't hesitate for even a moment while putting his arm into its mouth opened to the end. When he pulled his arm back a short while later, there was a cut four fingers above his wrist.

After Nafız also completed the same process, the castle shook violently for a moment. Those inside were in a panic; only Alyon and Nafız were running.

Inside the room where Astute conducted the affairs of his secret organization, the floor where the desk used to be had opened up, and stairs going downwards were visible.

If he knew the secret of the place he sat on for years, I wonder what the former city lord would think?

The stone steps were damp; the duo descended exactly nine thousand three hundred and fourteen stairs by making an intense effort not to slip.

"Come on, it seems we will go down to the magma!"

Just as Nafız started to lose her temper, they found the ground by groping in the pitch darkness. When the torches on the walls lit up by themselves as they took their steps, they understood they were in a large stone room.

"There are some platforms over there; let's take a look at them!"

Due to the previous dungeon, the duo looked for a door or tunnel to enter, but they were in an area with stone walls on four sides. The only objects in the environment were structures formed of large rocks whose tops looked as if they were cut with a katana.

When they climbed on top in one jump, they saw that many candles were burning at the edges of the places with a diameter of three steps. They didn't have many options; when Nafız looked at her friend, she saw that he was still trying to make sense of the events.

"Sit comfortably and close your eyes. We will leave here after a while!"

Nafız figured out the situation the moment the candles burned. Even though the smoke coming out was too thin to be seen with the eye, it was understood from their smell that they were a hallucinogenic substance. Alyon did what his friend said and, cutting connection with the environment he was in within ten breaths, dived into the dream world. While the female orc waited where she sat, it would take a long time for the substances to affect her.

"Oh Mora, how many things do you have immunity to. I've become like the ancestor of addicts; I just can't get high!"

Just as the candles were nearing their end, finally Nafız's eyes closed and her head fell forward.

When she woke up, she found herself lying on lush green grass, watching the sky. Clouds were appearing and disappearing in various shapes. What was interesting was that the shapes were very familiar to Nafız, who carried the memories of three lives in her memory; it was as if the people in her memories were organizing a parade.

Something passed stepping on her face; the event happened very suddenly, she could only see a small white tail. when she straightened up in panic, she found the small white rabbit waving at the head of the small hole it opened.

"No, it can't be! Such a coincidence!"

Passing various thoughts through her mind, she jumped into the hole after the rabbit; after a long fall, she found herself inside a shop with a glass front. There were two large photocopiers and piles of paper, and outside there was a very beautiful garden.

Nafız went to the door but couldn't go out because it was locked; then she thought of trying to break the glass, but this wasn't a solution either. She decided to look around thoroughly; when she started rummaging through the machines, the paper she scribbled on when her mother and father died suddenly caught her hand.

Thud! Thud!

It was as if she had returned to that time; new ones were forming over the traces of dried tears. Whenever she picked up the paper she couldn't bear to throw away, the same things would repeat.

The door opened with a creaking sound; Nafız folded what was in her hand, put it in her pocket, and headed towards the exit rapidly. She was just about to go out, but the reflection from the glass stopped her. What she saw wasn't a female orc, but his human state from when he was a small child.

"Nafız my child, come on, we are waiting for you!"

When this voice reached his ear, the eyes of the child who stopped crying were filling up again; this was his mother's voice. She had called him together with his father and sister; while running to their side, he would also remember where they were.

It was the city park near their house where they came frequently in his childhood. Nafız thought it must be a weekday today, for there were no barbecuers gathered around as if they would never eat again. His mother and father were workers in a factory; when they rarely coincided on the morning shift, they could enjoy the green and nature as a family before the sun set.

"What kind of bliss is this; I could die of happiness!"

While Nafız was muttering to himself, he felt his father's hand on his shoulder.

"Son, don't be stubborn, you come too. It would be proper to visit as a family!"

When the child turned towards the owner of the hand, he saw that the man in the park had aged. He had grown up too; they were no longer in the park but in his own room in their house. His father's words were familiar; they had this conversation before the journey where his family would die.

"Father, don't go, very bad things will happen. Please stay at home!"

His mother was looking in amazement. He had started a fight for a trivial reason so that they wouldn't go to the village to their sick relatives. In order to be able to say her sister was looking after him, the young girl wouldn't be able to go with her parents either.

When his father wanted to persuade him one last time, the child who said go wherever you go was gone, and Nafız clinging to his legs while leaving through the door had arrived.

"I beg you, don't go; please stay with me!"

The young man went crazy; he ran to the entrance to lock the house door.

"Son, my child, don't be ridiculous. We need to go; if you are so curious, you come too!"

His mother was standing planted at the door of the room; there was no gap left to pass. Nafız, having nervous breakdowns, clung to the window handle and dangled his leg outside.

"I'll throw myself, I swear I'll throw myself! I can't separate from you again!"

His mother and father froze and started laughing at each other a short while later. Meanwhile, the young man would empty whatever was inside him on the verge of suicide.

"You left like this back then too; because of me, my sister and I couldn't come with you. Do you know what I was saddest about the most? That I couldn't die with you!"

"Now I send myself to death before you; the moment you leave through that door, I jump down!"

While his face was wet with sweat and tears, Nafız was looking at his mother and father with pleading eyes.

"We need to go, son!"

His mother's word meant the end of the road. When he stuck his head out, the ice-cold air hit the young man's face.
