Chapter 73 - Yetmiş Üç

"Eftelya sweetie, I learned that you wanted to take part in the social development of the city. The young man you see next to me is my student Kitapkurdu."

Following Nafız's words, when the young girl extended her hand to greet the student, she was bewildered when Kitapkurdu bowed gracefully and kissed her hand. Along with the people in the room, a single question appeared in her mind too. What kind of orc is this?

"Please do not be surprised; my student comes from a noble lineage. He is the son of Chief Alyon, the person who will be the ruler of the Orc Steppes!"

When Nafız spoke with an annoying smile, the people she supposedly wanted to calm down were thoroughly stunned. Was this scrawny runt the child of the male orc who barely fit through doors? Alyon's face also fell; his son was achieving extraordinary things among orcs, but he still wanted him to be a warrior like his daughter.

"Ma'am, a report about your city recently came into my hands. I took notes on a few projects during my journey; I hope they will be of help to you!"

Although Kitapkurdu felt sad deep down seeing his father's expression, he started speaking without reflecting this outside. As everyone looked at him while he handed a brick-like book he took out of his storage ring to Eftelya at the end of his speech.

"Please excuse me. When I have the opportunity to work in more detail with the information I will receive from you in the future, I would like to make a broad presentation!"

As the young orc spoke, people's faces changed shape. Was this person one of the orcs who came to the city in cages for the dirtiest jobs? His demeanor, attitude, and speech seemed above even the quality of people in royal families.

"I forgot to mention. My student also acts as a consultant to Mr. Gulag in the Nikonya Trade City. My trust in him regarding these matters is high!"

Nafız delivered the final blow. How could the three noble families of the continent's largest trade city not have information about Nikonya, which had recently attacked their thrones? All of them were watching with amazement the actions of Gulag, the Lord's right hand, and the orcs entering into trade in the city.

"We are also very happy about this event. I am not uncurious about your student's views on the new order of the Arena!"

Quintus was the first to jump into the conversation, immediately heading towards where the two young people were and starting to strengthen his relationship with Kitapkurdu. When a circle centered on the young orc formed inside the large hall, Nafız came to Marcos's side and said, "We need to talk to you privately!"

Alyon was watching his son; people had gathered around him and were in line to exchange ideas with him. Maybe he should turn back from his stubbornness now and start giving Kitapkurdu the value he deserved.

Marcos reached out to open the door of the study after a short walk, but Sangre beat him to it and opened the door with a move.

"What I am about to tell you is very important, Marcos; Astute, whom you killed in the arena, was a member of the Black Lily Clan in the lands of the Hell Realm. Judging by the weapons in his hand, it was understood that he had a good position within the organization!"

The revolution had happened; it was necessary to be prepared for approaching dangers. Marcos was thinking about these too; he had even prepared some plans.

"I will leave you a recipe; you will take a drop of blood from everyone who wants to enter the city and throw it into the potion you prepare. If the color turns black, kill that person without needing to ask any other questions!"

The recipe was a solution Mora prepared for Black Lily Members hiding themselves. The young girl's hatred had penetrated to her bone; she was sworn not to let malicious people breathe.

"Also, we must provide you with personal protection just in case. We don't have the chance to confirm the good intentions of all people living in the city!"

"Should I send word to hire a bodyguard team from the Mercenaries?"

When protection was mentioned in this world, Mercenaries immediately came to mind. They were accepted as the best among the options.

"No need, you already possess eight bodyguards!"

While Marcos looked at her, Nafız gave her signal. Black leather-armored orcs leaping from every corner of the room would suddenly appear behind the city lord.

"These are the orc team that will serve as your bodyguards. They will wear a black mask on their faces while wandering in the city. The city people will only be able to know them as mysterious humans!"

When choosing the equipment of the bodyguard team, Kitapkurdu had found a solution considering that the new lord might fear public reaction.

"Thank you very much, Nafız, but I have a question in my mind. The former lord also had bodyguards, yet he couldn't escape death. Moreover, I am not even as good a warrior as him!"

"You are a smart boy, Marcos; let me introduce you to the leader of your bodyguards!"

While Nafız walked to the side of the warrior stepping two steps forward, the new Lord was very curious about what the female orc would say.

"This warrior's name is Kübey. When your life is in danger, she will send you to a cave half a day's distance away as the crow flies!"

The new City Lord was looking blankly at the female orc's face; it was very hard to believe what was said.

"It is understood that it will be very difficult for you to accept what is said without experiencing it!"

Kübey was slowly approaching the city lord; the moment she put her hand on his shoulder, Marcos disappeared. When he reappeared, he was inside a square-shaped symbol with different totems at its four corners.

He could only blink twice and found himself in front of the smiling female orc.

"Marcos, when this ability is used, it will become usable again only after a day-cycle, but I think there is no question mark left in your mind now?"

The young man was still in shock of what he experienced; traveling in space had deeply shaken his perception of reality. When he threw himself onto the large leather armchair without saying a single word, he had closed his eyes and was breathing rapidly.

The gift her own student received from the reward dungeon was enormous, but the ability of the female orc at the head of the bodyguards was simply unbelievable. Only one of the two orcs who entered the dungeons with Yarmagül and Kitapkurdu could survive. When this orc, who came with four small totems in her hands, figured out her ability, she wasn't believed at first.

She could send any object she wanted to the area remaining inside the symbol she established with her totems, as long as she was within half a day's distance. She had just attained this gift, and the area she could create had a size that could only contain a human.

When Nafız saw that the young man was trying to calm down, she left him alone with his bodyguards and started walking to return to the dining hall. Parthenia was effectively their city just like Nikonya; since they took the necessary precautions, they should talk about new targets with Alyon.

"Where were you? This brat gathered all the attention on himself. I was going to explode from boredom here!"

Alyon scolded his friend slightly when he saw her not returning from where she went for a long time.

"Instead of standing there, you should have gone and joined the people or hit the sack and slept like the tribe's noble captains!"

Vahşiduvar and Kuyag hadn't been heard from since the meal ended and they moved to the large hall. The two orcs were sleeping in a corner drooling. The environment wasn't attractive for orcs at all; there was neither war nor entertainment. The best activity to do was to hit the sack and pass out quietly.

"Nafız, Kasaphaydo gave a time of three moon cycles later for the siege to begin. An exquisite idea came to my mind; why don't we enter the second reward dungeon?"
