Chapter 13 - Pikachu’s Magnetic Multiverse Journey! [13]

Inside the castle—

A sumptuous banquet was underway. Lord Pilaf generously brought out the castle's finest delicacies, enthusiastically entertaining Bulma and her group.

Watching his carefree companions happily enjoying the feast, Ray Chu slipped into philosophical contemplation. Is it that they're too naive, or that I've grown too cynical? Is it the distortion of humanity, or the decline of morality, that fate has forced me to become an outsider, standing alone against the world?

"So, tell me, everyone—what's your wish once you collect all the Dragon Balls?" Pilaf asked casually, sensing that the group had nearly finished eating.

"My wish is to find a handsome prince," Bulma replied bashfully, glancing shyly toward Yamcha.

Yamcha stiffened; his fear of women had improved slightly, but he still couldn't handle being so openly admired.

"If you ask me, unlimited money's the way to go," Oolong interjected lazily, clearly refusing the sudden dose of lovey-dovey atmosphere. "With money, you can buy anything!"

Goku and Puar continued gobbling food, showing no interest whatsoever in making wishes.

Ray Chu remained silent, still lost in his deep thoughts.

"Hehe, personally, I'd wish to rule the entire world and become the greatest ruler of all. Thus, I'd never let such an opportunity slip away." Pilaf finally dropped all pretenses, smirking and wagging a finger ominously.

"Ugh… Why do I feel so dizzy suddenly…?"

"Dammit! You drugged our food?!"

Bulma and the others quickly felt their consciousness fading, struggling to keep their eyes open, their last sight being the wicked smiles of Pilaf and his two henchmen.

"Lord Pilaf, here are the Dragon Balls." Shu pulled the bag containing the Dragon Balls from Bulma's arms, presenting it respectfully to Pilaf.

"Excellent! Lock them up. By the time they wake, the world will already belong to me!" Lord Pilaf gloated triumphantly. Truly, the path to world domination required his brilliant intellect.

"Yes, sir!" Shu and Mai carried everyone into a dungeon cell, but they failed to notice a bright yellow flash darting silently through the doorway at the last moment.

Returning to report their success, Shu and Mai found Lord Pilaf lovingly stroking the seven Dragon Balls arranged before him. "Perfect! It's time to summon Shenron!"

Shortly thereafter, Bulma and her friends groggily awoke, realizing how they'd been tricked. But before they could devise an escape plan, the sky outside suddenly turned dark.

A massive, majestic dragon appeared, glowing brilliantly in golden light. Gazing down, it spoke in a deep, authoritative voice, "Speak your wish! I can grant any single wish you desire."

"It's all over!" Bulma collapsed miserably. All their hard work collecting the Dragon Balls—only to lose them at the last second!

"So the world falls into the hands of that evil guy?" Yamcha seethed bitterly. Better to have let someone handsome like me have that wish instead.

"Wait—have you guys noticed we're missing someone?" Oolong suddenly spoke up.

They exchanged shocked glances. "Could it be?!" All eyes turned toward the outside.

Outside, Pilaf took a deep breath, ready to shout, "I—"

"Pika!" A sudden cry pierced the air as a bright yellow figure appeared seemingly from nowhere. Ray Chu calmly stood there, holding up a clearly-written sign, placed conveniently within Shenron's line of sight.

"Oh, understood." Shenron nodded solemnly, reaching out a claw and pointing at Ray Chu. A white beam shot out, instantly merging into his body.

"Your wish has been granted. Farewell." Instantly, the Dragon Balls rocketed skyward, scattering to the far corners of the world.

Ray Chu watched regretfully as they disappeared. If only my new powers were more refined, I could've intercepted those balls. Wait a year until they're recharged, and summon Shenron again.

Pilaf stared blankly, utterly dumbfounded, before collapsing in despair. "Noooo… My world domination!"

"Haha! Awesome!"

"That's our Boss! Nice move!" Bulma and the others in the cell celebrated wildly. Regardless, the villains' plans were foiled, and the world had once again been saved.

"Capture him! Execute him immediately!" After shock came anger—Lord Pilaf wouldn't forgive such humiliation.

Mai and Shu quickly drew their laser guns, firing wildly at Ray Chu. Ray Chu simply extended his hands, creating a translucent barrier that deflected all incoming beams.

LIGHT SCREEN!

A Psychic-type skill—previously impossible for Ray Chu to master no matter how hard he tried. His wish to Shenron had been simple: To receive unparalleled psychic talent.

This world's Shenron had not disappointed. In a flash, Ray Chu transformed from a purely Electric-type Pokémon into a dual Electric/Psychic-type, easily wielding the formerly unreachable Light Screen.

Seeing their laser guns fail, Mai and Shu resorted to firing a missile at Ray Chu.

CONFUSION!

Ray Chu stretched out his hands again, and the missile halted midair as if caught by an invisible force, detonating spectacularly into fireworks.

The shockwave sent Pilaf's group hurtling through the air, tumbling countless times and landing pathetically scorched.

"L-Lord Pilaf!" Mai and Shu, faces blackened with soot, helped their boss staggeringly to his feet as they fled toward the castle's secret tunnel.

Ray Chu was about to pursue, but he froze, sensing an immensely powerful, violent energy rising rapidly from the area where his companions had been imprisoned.

He glanced upward, noticing a full moon now glowing brightly in the night sky. He suddenly recalled that his first journey to this world had also occurred beneath a full moon.

I crossed worlds once due to the moonlight… Could it happen again now?

However, no dimensional crossing occurred. Instead, his thoughts were interrupted by a thunderous roar. Turning around, he saw a giant ape—over ten meters tall—bursting through the prison walls, rampaging and demolishing everything around it.

Beneath its feet, Bulma's group desperately fled, narrowly dodging huge chunks of falling debris. Completely indifferent to the ants beneath it, the giant ape—Goku transformed—gleefully destroyed the castle.

When Pilaf's trio finally emerged with their mechs to fight back, all they found was rubble and ruin. The once-majestic castle had become history.

"My beautiful castle! Stop that monster!"

Their missiles and gunfire merely irritated the giant ape, making it roar deafeningly in anger. Leaping tens of meters into the air, it swatted down Pilaf's mech like slapping away a pesky fly, resulting in a fiery mushroom cloud upon impact.

"HOOOAAAAR!"

Having effortlessly crushed its foes, the giant ape pounded its chest, roaring triumphantly at the moon.
