Chapter 38 - Two Days… A Complete Rebirth

"Swordsmanship Lv.10…"

"So what level am I at now?"

"And compared to Colonel Bogard… where do I stand?"

Raifeng mulled it over.

At Swordsmanship Lv.5, he'd clearly been behind Bogard.

But at Lv.10?

Now it wasn't so obvious.

Could he beat Bogard?

Raifeng judged it honestly—

probably not.

A fight wasn't only about sword skill.

A real battle came down to everything: swordsmanship, strength, speed, stamina—the full package.

And Raifeng was still a child in his growth phase.

Compared to a fully developed adult at his peak, Raifeng's physical stats were naturally at a disadvantage.

Strength, speed, stamina—

in those areas, he was still far behind Bogard. That part was undeniable.

"But if it's purely swordsmanship…"

"Is my current level enough to shake him?"

That, Raifeng felt, was possible.

At the very least—

he wouldn't be far behind.

And that alone was already more than enough for him.

Because from absolute beginner to "this level"…

had taken him less than two days.

What was there to be dissatisfied with?

"There's no rush to challenge Bogard right now."

"Let it settle."

"Two more days…"

"Then I can face him properly."

And more importantly—

Raifeng wanted another sign-in.

The fourth.

To see what it would give him.

Sunlight poured through the window, painting warm gold across the floor. Dust motes shimmered. The room felt calm, almost peaceful.

Days at sea were always dull.

Time moved like a snail, creeping forward.

Everywhere you looked—nothing but ocean.

No landmarks.

No reference points.

Boring.

Stifling.

The kind of monotony that made people restless.

Without a skilled navigator, it was easy to lose direction entirely and drift into dangerous waters.

But this was a Marine warship.

Their destination: Marineford.

Using advanced technology, they were pushing straight through the Calm Belt.

And so—

day after day—

time passed.

In the blink of an eye…

two more days were gone.

Splash— the sea rippled, waves spreading outward.

A massive warship cut through the water, splitting the surface into foaming trails.

The flag flew high—bearing the seagull-and-scales emblem of the Marines, symbolizing "justice."

The ship's bow was… oddly comical:

a pug biting down on a bone.

On deck, marines bustled everywhere, carrying out their duties. Hundreds, then thousands of marines dropped what they were doing, no one daring to slack off.

Anyone assigned to this ship was elite.

Garp stood by the railing, brow furrowed as he glanced at Bogard.

"Hey. Isn't it weird?"

"I haven't seen that brat Raifeng for the past two days."

Bogard also looked puzzled.

"Vice Admiral… same here. Aside from eating and basic necessities, he's been in his cabin almost the entire time."

Garp fell silent, thinking.

Bogard hesitated, then offered:

"Could it be… he's still seriously digesting what he gained from sparring with me two days ago?"

Garp stroked his chin.

"Actually… that's pretty likely."

But still—

what kind of "insight" took two full days to work through?

Garp couldn't wrap his head around it.

Then again…

this was Raifeng.

Normal logic didn't apply.

Maybe the brat really had dug up something outrageous again.

A monster always did monster things.

"Should we go ask him?" Bogard suggested.

"No." Garp grinned.

"Let's see what he's cooking."

"Two days. If he really found something big…"

"Then sooner or later we'll see it."

"And when we do—"

"we'll know exactly what he's been doing, and how much he's improved."

Garp's smile deepened.

"Now that… is worth looking forward to."

Inside the cabin—

Raifeng's eyes glinted. He willed it again.

"System—begin the fourth sign-in!"

Yes.

Raifeng had already stacked up to the fifth sign-in.

He'd completed the third two days ago

and the gains had been significant.

Over these two days, his growth had been enormous.

A complete transformation.

Two days…

like being reborn.

[Sign-in successful!]

[Congratulations, Host. You have obtained a reward Ability Pack…]

[Open the Ability Pack?]

"Open it," Raifeng said calmly.

[Opening Ability Pack…]

[Opening complete!]

[Ding!]

[Skills: Swordsmanship Lv.10, Conqueror's Haki Lv.4 (+Lv.3)]

The System's voice echoed through his head.

Raifeng exhaled slowly.

His emotions didn't spike this time—no wild excitement, no disappointment either.

Overall—

it wasn't incredible, but it wasn't bad.

Acceptable.

Solid.

A warm current surged through his body again as the System reinforced him.

Raifeng immediately checked his Status Panel.

"System—show my Status Panel!"

[Host: Raifeng]

[Strength: 30 (+20)]

[Speed: 31 (+20)]

[Stamina: 29 (+20)]

[Skills: Swordsmanship Lv.10, Conqueror's Haki Lv.4 (+Lv.3)]

[Skill Points: 0]

Exactly.

This was Raifeng's current status after two days of accumulation—after the fourth and fifth sign-ins stacked together.
