Chapter 43 - A Battle That Ends in a Dead Even Split with Bogard!

Yes.

Bogard never could've imagined it.

He was a Marine Headquarters colonel, and even among colonels, his strength ranked near the very top.

Yet now—

against a seven-year-old child—

he was finding it difficult.

Even Bogard himself was shaken.

"Two days of 'closed-door training'… how is that even possible?"

Bogard stared at Raifeng as if he were seeing a nightmare.

If it were possible…

he wanted to go into seclusion too.

Could someone teach him the secret?

Why did two days of training cause a world-shaking change?

This was completely against logic.

Step by step, Bogard returned to the battlefield.

But his gaze was different now—filled with caution and fear.

At this moment, he understood it clearly:

Raifeng was a terrifying monster.

If he didn't go all out, he really could lose—badly.

The constant pain in his waist was a warning bell that wouldn't stop ringing.

Raifeng was already a threat to him.

"Colonel Bogard, you alright?"

Raifeng lifted his sword slightly and smiled sideways at him.

"…That kick was brutal."

Bogard rubbed his waist, still wincing, and couldn't help complaining.

And then—

the fight exploded again.

Without warning—

Bogard launched a fierce offensive.

He took the initiative.

Clang! Clang!

Steel collided with steel, sparks bursting under the sun.

A heavy shockwave erupted from the impact point, blasting outward and tugging at the uniforms of every marine watching.

"So… fast!"

"I can't see their movements at all!"

"Only afterimages!"

"They're both insane!"

The marines were pale, eyes stretched wide, throats dry.

They couldn't track the fighters.

Only Garp could follow everything clearly.

"Bogard… can't put Raifeng down."

That thought surfaced in Garp's mind—

and it sent a chill through him.

Garp knew Bogard's strength better than anyone.

Yet even so, he couldn't accept what he was seeing.

Bogard couldn't defeat a seven-year-old Raifeng.

Two days ago, Bogard could utterly dominate him.

Two days later—

Bogard going all out could do no more than fight Raifeng to a standstill, unable to gain advantage in the short term.

Who could imagine that?!

"This is ridiculous!"

"This brat's growth rate is beyond absurd!"

"No wonder he's a monster…"

Garp thought grimly.

Boom! Boom!

The battle grew even more violent.

"Shave!" (Six Powers: Shave)

Bogard was forced to use the Marines' Six Powers.

His body vanished.

The next second—

he appeared behind Raifeng, sword crashing down.

But Raifeng reacted as if he had eyes in the back of his head.

His blade rose behind him—

Clang!

The swords collided.

Raifeng slipped away instantly, widening the distance.

"The Six Powers…"

"Such practical combat techniques."

"I'll learn them sooner or later."

Raifeng narrowed his eyes.

And once he mastered the Six Powers—

Bogard could officially declare himself surpassed.

Right now, even with Bogard fully utilizing the Six Powers, he was only evenly matched with Raifeng.

And the frightening part?

Raifeng had fought to this point relying purely on swordsmanship, physical strength, speed, and reflexes.

He didn't have Bogard's versatile toolkit—no Six Powers, no layered setups.

Yet even so—

Raifeng still held Bogard in a deadlock.

That alone was shocking enough.

Boom!

A burst of force blew them apart, both sliding back more than ten meters.

From start to finish, Raifeng hadn't taken a single real wound—only his clothes were slashed and torn in several places.

Bogard, aside from the kick to the waist, hadn't suffered any major injury either.

The battle had reached a stalemate.

A dead even split.

The marines watching were shaken to the bone.

"Colonel Bogard… can't take down Mr. Raifeng…"

"A seven-year-old Mr. Raifeng… is strong enough to fight Bogard to a draw?!"

"This is impossible…"

"A draw?!"

"Seven-year-old Raifeng versus a middle-aged Bogard…"

"And they're even?!"

"I remember two days ago, Mr. Raifeng was still being taught how to apply swordsmanship in real combat!"

"And two days later, he's fighting Bogard evenly?!"

Every marine was stunned out of their minds.

Someone explain it to them—

what happened in these two days?

How could someone's strength increase so wildly, so outrageously, in only forty-eight hours?

This completely overturned their understanding of reality.

Just two days—

and they witnessed a rebirth.

Was this even human?

Could a human being really possess such a terrifying growth rate?!
